A Personal Message From The Host
When I think back to my time here since September, one thing that stands out to me is the sense of community. Everyone acts as a cohesive hive mind. Sure, we disagree on certain topics; any glance over to EoEO will answer that. But despite any petty little disputes, any small wounds heal rather quickly because we all love each other really. The EoFF Secret Santa for me just further strengthened this view for me alot further. Seeing every smile, go ecstatic, beam with delight even with fictitious gifts. Because at the end of the day, it truly is the idea that counts. It's the feeling. The intuitive presents I have seen over the past weeks have heartened me, that individual bonds can be so strong. People know each other so well; even if they have never met. It is truly an inspirational event.
But this event couldn't have been made without you. While I was the originator of the idea, like a seed in the ground, it couldn't have born fruits without the messages, presents, and views you guys have brought to this joyous occasion. The Santas deserve a standing ovation for the work they did, out of their own time. But so too all the people who took part in this event, because what is a Santa without people to give presents to?
But enough of the pomp and ceremony. Thank you for making the EoFF Secret Santa a rousing success, and I hope it will be even larger next year!
