Cameos are always popular, so I'm quite sure we'll see all of the more known characters appear, atleast. Not in a major part, like you said, but atleast show their face and drop a comment or so.

well, the preview says in ENGLISH that it is coming in summer of 2004. Does that mean that it will also be available with an english soundtrack, like anime?

I was all excited until you guys brought me down. oh well, I still say this is gonna rock, I just hope it comes to the US. The one link said "Coming summer 2004 to JAPAN" :( Sephiroth looks..wrong. But then again as someone said that the Anime style way the characters were made in FF7 burned into our brains.

When I first saw this on Gamefaqs.com I was really excited. Now, I'm disappointed and pissed. The more I see of it, the more I despise the whole thing.
How come? I'm pretty excited. And like some wise person said before; no matter how the movie turns out, FF7 will always remain the same.
Yeah, Sephy does seem to have the Kefka "lots of makeup" look.
I mean, what's with the eye shadow and stuff? These characters aren't played by real actors, they don't need it!
The Amano style seems to come across.
Hmm. Lots of complaints about Sephiroth's eyes, however their green colour is quite plainly visible in that 'Nibelheim' picture, at least to me. Cloud's eyes mightn't be shiny luniescent blue, but then the game only ever suggested that they're an unusualy bright or sparkly shade of blue. Besides, Cloud got his eye colour from exposure to Mako energy; with the Lifestream possibly in remission or nearly exhausted, that might've affected him in some way. Anyhow...
Dang... the more I hear, the more excited I get. Can't wait for this film. Well of course I can wait, since there's no other choice, but really the whole idea is quite splendid. The new designs are creative and lifelike, but still true to the original. Nice to see clips from FFVII's ending, and the remains of Midgar City left behind in Meteor's destructive wake.

In the game, both Seph and Cloud had greenish-glowing eyes because of the mako thing... in the movie, the glow has mysteriously disappeared. <.<
Nah, Japanesse language doesn't have certain characters, so they're are listed in English. But why the date was listed in English I dunno. But It'll prolly come out at least 6 months after the JPN version.Quote:

Also Japanese ads typically include English text, often with little relevance to the product being sold. Kind of the way English language ads include French to sound classy.
I sure hope if they do an English translation, they pick Denis Leary to do Cid's voice. ;)
Yeah, but after watching the trailer (just downlaoded it), nothing else was in JPN. So it might come out then. I dunno, but it's still a long ass time to wait regardless when it comes out.
