saturday on my way back home ill be picking up The last of us :3 ... special edition :D
at the moment i am playing Pokemon black 2
The Walking Dead more like the Walking FEEL :crying:
Alternatively "This Isn't Going to End Well: The Game"
What episode are you on Pike?
Playing The Last of Us right now myself.
Two was damn intense. Three is a bit less intense. Still has its crazy twists and turns, and it still punches you right in the feels, but it's a little slower so you can decompress a bit after two before it ramps up again.
after being reprimanded for not remembering what Rufus Shinra looked like and having never finished the game, I'll probably restart FFVII later today. we'll see how long that lasts.
Final Fantasy IX
played The Last of Us for an hour or so.. i still have to get in it.. im horrible at being sneaky and stealth
the first 5 min of the game, when you see how the infection ´started´.. it was sad :(
My friend just gave me Dirt 2 so I dug my old Logitech controller out and mapped it last night and have been racing around the world since!
Skyrim and Sonic After The Sequel today. Skyrim doesn't like major cities much. :( SATS is amazing, it's actually old-school 2D Sonic Tier.
Massive amounts of Sonic today - various games. I was in one of those moods where you've just gotta go fast.
Just strated Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. This game is awesome
I started to play Sonic Generations. I saw videos on youtube and think the game is really great.:)
I love Sonic Generations! It's definitely one of the strongest Sonic titles in recent memory. Playing it in 3D is a blast :D
I played the FF XIV beta and loved it, I wonder if there is another phase and when.
Otherwise I am playing Valkyrie Profile. I spent like 2-3 hours in Sunken Shrine solving the puzzles that I forgot about and fighting tough monsters. I really hate those flying eyeballs.
This thread could use a major bump! :monkey:
I've been playing (and raging at) FTL and also reinstalled Galactic Civilizations II to play that for the first time in a good long while. Had some fun winning that via tech victory!
Final Fantasy IV and IX.
Right now, I have mostly been playing Final Fantasy XIII-2. Almost finished with that!
I've also been playing: The Last of Us, Animal Crossing: A New Leaf, Arkham Asylum, and always Just Cause 2
Guild Wars 2 as always, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Jet Moto :)
Project XZone. Currently like, 22 hours in. It came out Tuesday. :p
Final Fantasy Type-0
I picked up a Japanese copy of this game, in anticipation of the upcoming fan translation. And, oh-my-gosh, it is amazing. It is one of the most fun FF games I've played in a long time, and I don't even understand most of the dialogue or systems.
It's not perfect. While the graphics are pushing the PSP to its breaking point, if it were ported to the Vita, PS3, or PS4, it would be absolutely breathtaking, because its aesthetics are great. The camera controls are also a little frustrating, since the PSP only has one Analog stick, but the ability to lock on to foes does help it a ton, and keep it from being too frustrating (a lock-on toggle would be nice, but for all I know, the game actually has one, and I just can't read enough Japanese to find the option).
Apart from those points, however, the game is great. The combat is incredibly fun, and I don't even know all the details. I've figured out most of the basics, and even Countering, but I don't know any of the customization details, and I can't be sure I even know all the commands. Ace is probably the easiest of the characters that I've seen so far to play, as his basic attack is ranged (very helpful, especially since enemies can be on ledges or other places you can't reach, and he doesn't have to rely on Magic to get them).
The story (what I can understand of it) is really, really interesting. The game starts in the middle of an invasion of the country of Suzaku by the Milites Empire (there are four major countries in the game). Each country has its own crystal which can be used to draw special powers. Suzaku's crystal is the crystal of magic, so its armies are more traditional medieval warriors and such, wielding magic and riding war chocobos. Milites has the weapon crystal, so its armies carry firearms and use mechs. The crystals can also create l'Cie (they work somewhat differently from the way they did in XIII, but the basics are familiar). These l'Cie are bound to the will of their Crystal, being given a Focus and a lot of incredible power. It was an attack by Milites's l'Cie which broke into Suzaku and kicked off the plot. Among other powers (like animating an army of mechs), the Milites l'Cie seem to be able to power an anti-magic field generator, which is responsible for Bahamut's ignoble defeat in the trailer.
The story follows "Class Zero", a class of military cadets from Suzaku who carry some strange powers. They possess, among other things, the ability to tear MP from the bodies of their fallen foes, and a seeming immunity to the anti-magic field, which allows them to drive off the opening invasion.
So I'm really enjoying it so far, and I am really flabbergasted by the fact that it started as a cell phone game. This game is too ambitious for the PSP, it's way too much for a cell phone. This really is one of the best games that I've seen from Square Enix in quite a while. You could port this game to a full console easily (though I'm hoping for a translated Vita port, if we ever get an official localization), and, if promoted, this probably would have been one of the most beloved Square titles since the Playstation days.
If you can get a copy, do so. It's well worth it. And I cannot wait for the translation.
I don't read Japanese either. Nevertheless, you can pick it up fairly easily, you just can't get too deep into the systems.
Not being able to read any of the ability names means I'm kind of out of luck for picking which abilities to train or even how to swap them out.
But Ace is easy to pick up, and the controls are really intuitive. Most of the systems will even explain themselves if you stick with it long enough.
Controls:
L Button - Brings up the quick menu (let's me switch characters with <- and ->, but that's all I know about this menu)
R Button - Centers camera behind player, or Locks on to a target (huge help, since it also lets you see Counter indicators)
Analog - Movement
D Pad - Camera (useless)
Triangle - Primary Attack
Circle - Special Ability (Unique to character, utilizes a gauge which charges as you attack)
Square - Magic
X - Block/Dodge
The gameplay itself is really fun. Like Kingdom Hearts but with no jump ability. Each character plays pretty differently, with different attacks and abilities. And you can at least tell where to go on a map without needing to understand the language.
As I said, I got this in anticipation of the fan translation (which I've plugged twice in the Type-0 forum but nobody seems to be interested in), which is looking really good, and the video previews of their translation can give you an overview of the setup, enough that you'll be able to tell what's going on as you play through (most of it, there is one set of scenes that are a little disjointed involving members of the Milites military, but since they don't interact with anyone I know, they could be doing anything).
Honestly, I cannot recommend this game enough. It really is some of the most fun I've had with a Square title in a long time. It's pulled a lot of good elements from all over their works (I can see influence from VIII, VII, Tactics [the original], KH, and plenty of others), and combines them into an absolute gem. Check out the promo vids on the translation page, and then try to get at least the Japanese demo. This game is great.
yeah, but i always play for the story so that wont do any good in Japanese :P
My mom brought me a game called Sacrifice, it is interesting so far.
I started Final Fantasy IV Advance a while ago. I'm now flying all over the world trying to find out where to go. I noticed a town called Mythril and an isolated cave next to it, but the latter seems unreachable.
The combat system is still a mystery to me. The damage dealt by attacks seems to be pretty random, ranging from 200 to 900 in some cases (against the same enemy). Sometimes a character randomly gets two turns in a row even though their ATB gauge reset (seems like a glitch). Many weapons have a rather absurd miss chance (Rosa is the only character who can reliably use bows).
i wanted to play DMC again after The Last of us, but somehow im just really not in the mood for it...i just dont know what to do now that i finished that game :P
Mortal Kombat, Arkham Asylum, Skyrim, and Jak and Daxter HD.
Yesterday I platinumed Zero Escape, Virtues Last Reward. If you own a Vita or a 3DS and/or like room escape games (it's less room escape and more mind trip story) you will love it.
Chronicles of Mystara and Marvel Heroes.
I was playing a ton of Endless Space but then I kept getting buttmad at it and rage quitting. Fortunately then the weekend hit so I got to play some FFXIV ARR :) I think I may end up buying it!
Now, for the first time ever, playing Alpha Centauri.
I did a test run basically to figure out how the basics of the controls worked, and now the real fun begins!
Star Ocean Till The End of Time
Once it stops bugging out on me I'll finish Disc 1.
This game does a lot of things to piss me off... but it has so much charm and depth I can't help but forgive it.
I can't stay mad at this game.
Tokyo Jungle, mostly. I unlocked much of the predator class animals up to cheetah. Trying to get the bear (which you unlock through hyena) and the panther (which you have to unlock through the cheetah) is a bitch.
Also, I've been dabbling in Tekken Revolution. It's not bad. It's pretty good for a free-to-play, though.
Playing some old psone classics on my android tablet with an emulator. Right now I'm playing Alundra which reminds me a lot of Zelda A Link to the Past. It's about a young man who can cross into people's dreams and must defeat boss battles and solve puzzles that are causing some of the townsfolk to have nightmares. It's a very action oriented rpg with many puzzle elements mixed in, very solid with a great story. And I'm also playing Arc the Lad 1 (part of the Arc the Lad Collection) the first game in the series is a lot like Shining Force except there's very little time spent exploring instead it focuses more on battles more than anything else although I must say this game is beautiful, some of the cutscenes are very good for a 2D RPG.
Elder Scrolls Online. Beta looks awesome
Nothing because I have to write this month and it's terrible :stare:
I want to take a hiatus from FFIV because they died ;_____; and I want to protest.
But that's what I will be playing again in a few days.
Just booted up Torchlight II with a buddy after buying it for $5 on today's Community Choice sale on Steam. I like it a lot! Hoping the skill tree decisions will suck me in like Diablo II's did, that's maybe the only thing I really missed in Diablo III.
scribblenauts unlimited. thanks steam sale!
Project X Zone
Another tactical RPG, this time a crossover between tons of video game characters!
I love the turn based tactics love I've seen recently. XCOM, Fire Emblem, and now this. MORE!
Getting close to clearing out Oracle of Ages, probably finish ti off tomorrow at some point! Huzzah!
Preparing my long-going firered nuzlocke for victory road and then the elite four.
So far I've only lost 3 pokemon... and the last one I lost was right after the second gym.
I'm pretty worried, as I've been overdue for another death for a good long while.
Oh well, I'm not complaining. I've got a crap-ton of grinding ahead of me prior to the elite four.
I really hope I don't screw this up.
Kingdom Hearts - Birth by Sleep
Sonic Adventure 2
Fire Emblem: Awakening. Just had my first perma-death which I quickly undid through the power of reset and save-reloading. >.>
its simulation time!!!
Rollercoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon :3
The better question might be what am I not playing since the Steam sales and PSN+ have been good to me lately. Finished up Saints Row 3 a few days ago, and have diddled around with AOE2, Sniper Elite, and Surgeon Simulator lately. And I still have other Steam sale games I haven't started yet.
I've been losing sleep over Battlefield 3. I'm two or three years late to this party, but I can't help but be addicted to this game. I just wish they had more maps for multiplayer. I feel like I'm playing the same 3-4 maps over and over and over and I'm not prepared to throw down another 50$ just to be able to have a few more maps. :\
Got my 360 back, so I can finally play games again. Back on Skyrim, and doing things I've never done before. I'm going to do all the Daedric quests, as well as completing the Companions Guild questline. I'm also going to do Hircine's quest while a werewolf, because I feel that's how it should be played.
I've decided that the Solitude Guard's Armor is the best looking armour in the game. Am searching for boots, gauntlets, and perhaps some headgear to match it now.
Jumped back into Undated 3 from the Cruise Ship now I'm riding horses with 21st Century Muslim Saracen Crusaders. Needless to say this game is quite the ride...
I started a new game on Fallout 3 as a sweetheart thrown into a wold they know nothing about. Haven't decided if I'll stay merciful or slowly go brahmin-trout insane and kill everyone everywhere.
Taking a break from Tokyo Jungle to play To The Moon. :D
Today, I purchased all of the following:
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Time & Eternity
Mystic Chronicles
I'm still playing Animal Crossing.
If you want to go by technicality of starting and finishing, I suppose it took me about twelve years to beat FFVI. >_>; Will take me longer to finish FFIII & IV, since I started them the same month I started all the old school ones back in 2000... I want to finish them, too! FFIV is next.
I just finished playing like 4 hours of Terraria. O_O
Right now Dynasty Warriors 8, though I'll be switching off between that and either Shin Megami Tensai IV, or Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers.
enjoy system shock 1 portable free today
SS1 SYSTEMSHOCK-Portable v1.2.2
Picked up all the civ 5 add ons and expansions off steam last night for $40. I forsee this cutting into my GW2 time.
Solitude Guard's Armor, Shrouded Hood, Shrouded Gauntlets/Gloves, Penitus Occulatus Boots.
You're welcome.
I just got Fire Emblem Awakening! I'm 48 hrs into it and IT IS AHJAKJALAWDJELJSEFJHSEAFJKEDKLAWJDKLAWJDKLAWJDKLEA!! :kaoclove:
I really want to play Fire Emblem Awakening. Instead, I spent a bunch of money on Steam games that I will probably never play.
I am about to start playing the dreaded Sonic '06. I am on a kick of wanting to beat every single sonic game for some reason. Playing this game will probably end that desire, which is probably best.
LET ME TELL YOU WHAT IM NOT PLAYING RIGHT NOW
DARK SOULS ON PC
BECAUSE MICROSOFT SUCKS BALLS
I HAVE SPENT A DAY TRYING TO SET UP THIS LAME GAMES WINDOWS LIVE ACCOUNT
AND APPARENTLY NOW I'VE MADE a LIVE account....but not a GAMES account
i am going to murder someone
and it takes like 5 mins to check if my account is set up every time i boot it
i love that every step of the process they keep saying please pleas please
just begging me not to turn off the game
edit:
steam says i have 24 minutes logged in this game
i haven't made it past the intro because it freezes at the beginning
it takes less than 24 minutes to get out of asylum and maybe even defeating taurus demon
oh man
definitely not happy with the pc purchase
i can play saints row 3 just fine so i dunno if its my comp or what
Just finished Gunpoint. smurfing amazing game.
An awesome friend of mine surprised me with Torchlight II. So I'm starting to get into it. Seriously, where has my night gone? ;A;
Terraria is fun but I never quite lost my life to it. I think I put about 15 hours into it total. I won't mind putting a few more hours in for cards, though.
The Walking Dead.
I'm enjoying it so much more than I expected to, even though it's probably the most depressing video game I've ever played. :p
I liked the story in The Walking Dead game much more than the TV show. Can't vouch for the comics, though, since I haven't read any of them. XD
Please do start playing FE:A! It is a-freaking-mazing as usual! Fire Emblem series are always so dastardly awesome. the breadth of the story and character development/interaction is FANTASTIC. The dialogue is way sharp, too. I find that FE is very immersive.
gunpoint
Oh man, Gunpoint is a lot of fun.
Monaco is pretty fun thus far as well but it seems like it would be a lot more fun multiplayer.
Played a lot of Scribblenauts Unlimited over the past couple days. Saw credits, gotten all the Starites and shards from the levels but need to do object shards which are gonna take a while (since I wasn't really aware of them until after I got the other 80-some Starites), so I'm taking a break from that.
Playing Portal now. It's pretty fun, and might be a little easier if I start playing with a real mouse instead of a touchpad :monster:
Terraria is so damn addicting. I built a 10 room house/tower for all the NPCs, farmed a full set of gold equipment, beat The Eye of Cthulhu, and now I'm working on getting demonite equipment and beating the Eater of Worlds.
Eternal Sonata :D
just beat Portal B)
i'm installing Portal 2 now, and I have Half-Life 2 installed and ready to go, though I'm thinking I should play HL1 first. will probably do Portal 2 next, though.
But did you make yourself a cake upon beating Portal?
Because that's what I did.
Start Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning again. Continue Dark Soul, this game is really difficult :D
Tales of the abyss
pandora's tower
probably god of war ascension soon...i practically never beat games, pretty bad.
It was too late to bake a cake, I needed to go to bed!
...orrrrrr start playing Portal 2 and stay up until 2am doing that :shifty:
Portal 1 spoiled me with fast load times. Playing Portal 2 on my non-gaming laptop takes soooo long between chambers :( still immensely fun though
Pokémon White Version 2
Pokemon White, funnily enough :p
Sonic Transformed, too!
Alternating between Okami HD and Skyrim.
Been playing Old World Blues DLC for New Vegas. smurfing awesome. Nothing beats foot penises. Except maybe hand penises.
Alternating between Dynasty Warriors 8 and Shin Megami Tensai IV. :p
It also starts with you getting your brain scooped out then it getting misplaced if that affects your decision positively at all.
You had me at "foot penises".
Bouncing between Castle Crashers, Don't Starve, Rogue Legacy, Monaco and about to start playing SMT IV and probably Earthbound.
All of that because I was having a hard time getting into the groove of Deus Ex. I'm gonna have to wait a month and try again. :(
I just beat Uncharted 3!!! Very good game, not sure if it was as good as 2 though.
Right now I'm deciding between 3 RPGs on my PC: The Witcher 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Fallout: New Vegas.
What sayest thou?
I'm still playing that as my commute game, I think I might be close!
I need a home game now, and I haven't played a single player game on PC for a while, I'm looking for something epic!!!
Just finished Batman Arkham City, was pretty good though I got a little bit through side quests and gave up due to boredom.
Can anyone recommend me some RPG's for either PC, DS, PSP, or PS3?
Just finished the single player in Battlefield 3 on the PS3. Some parts were decent, but there was an awful lot of silly bulltrout in that game that made it stupidly annoying to play through. DICE really need to stick to multiplayer and stop pretending that they know how to balance a single player shooter, or that their fans even want to play one to be honest.
I know how you feel but I honestly felt like it was pretty incredible just how unpredictable, realistic, and downright frightening it was to play a lot of those levels. You really see what it's like to be in a jet, in a tank, or an onslaught of soldiers charging a stronghold in the night. The H.A.L.O. Russian jump was just plain fantastic as well, even if the gameplay was a little underwhelming one you landed.
Ch. 22, so far I've only recruited a few - Donnel, Owain, Sumia's daughter with Chrom, maybe one or two others.Quote:
Which chapter are you on, and how many characters have your recruited through the Paralogues (side chapters)?
Honestly, I think the jet and the tank missions were the only ones I really liked. I played on normal, and not only did you still die in a disturbingly small number of shots, you could rarely see your enemies, but they could always see you the second any part of you was in the open. I spent more time being so unbelievably careful that I was barely moving, could rarely see anything, and often got shot to death while trying to figure out where the hell the enemies were. Which lead to a lot of stupid deaths at the hands of enemies I couldn't even see who had no trouble shooting me to death when the only thing poking out was the top of my head and they were blind firing from behind a pillar (I kid you not, that last part happened). Of course, this was made even worse by some truly awful checkpoint placement in some spots.
It just didn't jive with me. I appreciate that they were trying to go for a fair amount of realism, and in reality most of your time would be spent ducking behind cover and peeking out to shoot at guys that you may not be able to see very well behind their cover, but honestly, most of the levels and enemy designs were so bland that trying to decipher what was going on onscreen sometimes was nearly impossible. It felt like in the push for realism they managed to bring in all of the things about fighting an actual war that make for a really bad game.
Also, smurf them for not letting me play with no auto-aim unless I went to the hardest difficulty. I'm glad I didn't because it was unnecessarily hard as it was on normal.
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
You're close all right. Only a few more. Yay.
Bolivar or other awesome people who've played that far can read this. Everyone else, keep playing! So, you hit the "Lucina tries to kill the Avatar" moment, then. That was the moment that actually inspired my recent fanfic (although, again, I always have my Avatar romance Lucina, which makes it even more awesome, because it changes that scene to be way more heartbreaking). But you still haven't quite found enough of the plot to read it. So keep it up!
Also, you need your Avatar to romance someone, so you can pick up the Avatar's kid.
Damn that sounds nuts! I actually paired him with Lissa and got Owain. Not sure if that was a good idea. I also remembered I got Anna the merchant from the paralogues. I've just been grinding a lot getting ready for the final push. The game is just pure fun to play but I wish they had a deep customization system to make all the required grinding more enticing.
I still need recs on Witcher 2/New Vegas/Human Revolution! Right now I'm leaning more towards deus ex since it would be the most fresh experience for me.
I'm playing To The Moon right now. It's so good despite having very little gameplay.
And I'd say go with your gut and play Human Revolution. All of those are on my to play list, and I feel you can't go wrong with any of them, though.
I am.
Hoooly trout is this game crazy.
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.
It's fun, fun, fun.
I'm playing Ys Origins. My saves from over year ago and drive wipe are still there. I love Cloud Saving. I'm playing Yunica Extra on Nightmare difficulty.
Still DW 8, which I've finished 2/4 kingdoms stories, and almost finished Ambition mode (THough I'll likely max out all my buildings in it before finishing), and slowly playing Shin Megami IV.
Also mixing in FF Dimensions, which thus far is only hindered by subpar controls on the touchscreen.
Currently plowing my way through pre-endgame crap in FF7 - getting all materia, fighting the weapons, etcetcetc. Will be done in no time. ._.
Also picked up Atelier Iris 2 again recently, which is always fun. :3
I will play all the games.
Current games:
Civilization IV
Sonic Transformed
Victoria II
Pokemon White
Farcry 3 smurfing awesome stuff!
Pokemon Pearl
Civ V
True story: Never played a Civ game before
Recently played through the ending of FFTA2. I'm debating what to play next. I got FF2, 3, 10, & 13-2. Also AC: Revelations, and I just played GoW3 today, still need to finish that game. I want to try out Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us and Dragon's Dogma but school is quickly approaching and I don't feel like dropping cash just to forget about a game after a couple hours.
Pokemon Liquid Crystal. So freaking good.
Replaying Dragon Age 2 because I destroyed my last laptop without finishing it. And COD 4
Liquid Crystal is a romhack. It's Crystal on the FireRed engine, basically (though I'm sure there's extra stuff; I haven't played very far into it)
I have a hankering to play a Civ game so I might be getting Civ 4 later today. And then I'd play it, of course. Either that or continue Portal 2.
The last game I played from start to finish was Link's Awakening DX. I thought it was spectacular. It's shocking but true: this is actually an improvement on the gameplay of Link to the Past. Aesthetically, it doesn't hold a candle, but the gameplay trumps.
I've really had trouble sitting down to play games lately. It's not that I don't have time, I just don't have the gumption about it that I used to.
Just started a new playthrough in Skyrim; Unarmed Master Monk.
I'm playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I'm not going to kill anyone. That involves a lot of sneaking and tranquilizer darts. I'm like Batman/Snake/Robocop. Except for that time I through a flashgrenade and only blinded myself. I was like the Ten-Dollar man in that instance.
Playing a lot of Gran Turismo 4 right now. God I love that game.
Game Dev Tycoon.
Yu-gi-oh: Nightmare Troubadour
The Last of Us
Dragon Age: Origins
That's about it.
Did you die a month ago? Are you Jesus?Quote:

Oh, and I've been messing around with Pokemon a bit, as well, since all the Pokemon sets running around got me in the mood.
I'm hoping you chose the correct starter Pokemon considering your set. Charmander or nothing.
Altogether tangential, but they don't have Pokemon on my home planet.
I generally take the water starter, except in Gen 3 because Blaziken is clearly awesome.
But I'm a bit of a bug pokémon freak, so grass is straight out and I usually train a different fire type (especially in Gen 5, oh how I love thee Volcarona!).
Away from my own game collection I experimented somewhat my housemates' collection (which mostly consists of the most triple A of AAA's).
Went through the CoD Black Ops campaign. (SPOILER)Think it's the weakest CoD campaign I've played so far. Highlights were the Sympathy for the Devil part and the gas suit part, but the rest was pretty generic. Confusion is the word that sums up the story.
Gave Assassins Creed 2 a try. (SPOILER)And by the lords does Ubisoft try hard to reach a broad audience. Slow paced as smurf, holding hands like a creepy uncle, and so much useless, disgusting, meaningless dialogue. I refuse to play this any further.
Started a Gears of War 2 co-op campaign with my housemate. (SPOILER)Lol at the character design, so much brawn. The reloading mini-game is fun. I somewhat enjoy this co-op massacre, though I know it won't be in my memory for long.
But man do I miss Dark Souls. Hopefully I can go back to Hotline Miami soon for my fix of more challenging game design.
Ni No Kuni
Mostly Aion, sometimes Skyrim.
I just finished my like 3rd-4th play through of Fallout:new vegas might do another
Playing some League of Legends now and then. And sadly I went back to WoW and got roped into heroic raiding by my former guild mates. I also played through the Hitman game and thinking of doing the Metal Gear Solid games.
Saints Row The Third, which is hilarious and wonderful. But I also started Spec Ops: The Line while the fiancee is out of the town. It is intense. The gunplay is really well done and the story is compelling, but it's not exactly what I'd call fun. It's like Silent Hill with no supernatural macguffins, just the horrors of war.
It's not particularly dense with its commentary, but I think the whole experience would be lost on someone who doesn't analyze their games critically. I'm happy I'm playing it, despite what will obviously be a short campaign (but it doesn't really need to be long).
played through Ocarina of Time over the weekend.
played through Pokemon Snap today, all 63 Pokemon photographed. may go back and try to get all "special" pictures (e.g. Surfing Pikachu, etc) but probably not. fun game but Goldeen was a bitch to photograph
started another playthrough of Paper Mario tonight. I'm clearly on an N64 kick.
Still playing GT4, but also popped in my copy of Formula 1 Championship Edition last night. It's better than I remember it being actually. Then again, last time I played it I sucked and I got placed as a test driver instead of an actual race driver in the career mode. That never sat well with me.
Back to my old love, Football Manager 2012.
You know, I used to wonder how you could love Football Manager so much. Then I realized that if they would make them, I'd play the trout out of Baseball Manager, or Formula One Manager. Guess I should stop throwing stones.
Yeah, I'm not a soccer fan either which is why I never really got it at first, and never really bothered to try before, but once I made the connection with sports I do enjoy, I suddenly realized that I want to play it. I really, really want to play it. I just don't want it to be about managing soccer.
Playing Dragons Crown.
It is bitchin. That is all.
EU3 in preparation for and anticipation of EU4.
So, I'm finally done boosting Call of Duty: World at War, so I've moved on to more fun games. Fire Emblem: Awakening still has its hooks in me, but I've thrown in a bit of Civilization V, which is the first Civ game I've played at all since III. I'm also replaying Red Dead Redemption; I'm planning on playing Undead Nightmare after I've 100% completed the main game.
Finally got a Vita so I could play the copy of Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention that I've had since it came out. I'm in love again.
Just finished The Last of Us, so I'm trying Dark Souls at long last and as always keeping up a bit of the ol' Football Manager 2013.
Still playing The Last of Us, and I also recently started LoZ: Oracle of Seasons, Bastion, and started a new playthrough on Borderlands 2.
Beat Deus Ex. Now I'm onto Trails in the Sky.
Finished Syberia I & II. I love these types of adventure games, but the story was lacking majorly in my opinion.
Just started Ni No Kuni and Hitman Absolutions.
Pokemon Black
Monaco is really fantastic. It's a little difficult to get into but once you do, it just gets better and better the more you play. Great little game. Highly recommended if you like stealthy stuff :)
Not playing anything at the moment, but I did just beat the first Dragon Quest.
On the PS3 in our lounge I am playing, The Last Of Us and DMC: Devil May Cry (the reboot, surprisingly good). On my 360, I am playing Farcry 3 and several other games I have taken a break from at present, I have to play Tomb Raider soon which I'm looking forwards to. On PC I'm playing the old Commandos games but I'm fighting the temptation (and losing) to play some Dawn of War 1 which I believe is the superior game to DoW 2.
a mix of Fire emblem awakening and a Nuzlocke of Emerald. :
Gorguts - [Colored Sands #04] Colored Sands [7:55]
Will probably be metal album of the year; I can't see anyone topping this. Can't wait for my vinyl copy.
Sadly I can't find this track on YouTube yet but they've put the whole album on Spotify. I think this is the link.
F1 2012 for $10 on Steam? Yes please!
I decided yesterday at 3 am to hook up my PS1 and play FF 7 again. I played for a few hours and had a good dream. :D
I beat Fire Emblem Awakening last night. I want to get a jump on Etrian Odyssey IV ASAP but Amazon messed up the order and has to send me a new one, but since it's coming to my mom's house I'm gonna have to wait another week to come down and get it... I'll probably just keep playing the demo, I think it's got a good chunk of the game in it!
Probably bout to hit up some Dota!
This highly frustrating game called "Modifying Word Press: CSS Edition" otherwise known as "Making trout Work in Internet Explorer"
I need some help I'm at a crossroad of what I should play next. I narrowed it to 4 choises.
1) Mass Effect series
2) Hitman series
3) Fallout new vegas
or
4) Assassins Creed series
Fallout New Vegas or the Hitman series are the best of those options.
alright hitman it is... until next weekend when the FFXVI open beta starts and the early access the following lol
One cannot go wrong with hitman.
I lost the only game I really felt like playing, so I'm not playing anything currently.
I just want to practice my speedruns of ratchet and clank: up yer arsenal. Of course I'd lose the game when I want to play it.
still playing Pokemon Black 2 .. im about to hit Victory road and the pokeleague ^^
and im playing The Last of Us for the 2nd time, gotta love that game!!
The missus and I picked up Trine 2 in the PSN Summer Sale. Having played the first one to death, we're excited to carry on our puzzle gaming shenanigans! :D
Well, almost done with Shin Megami IV. I figured early on there was going to be a third route to go to end the game, a nuetral route, and the moment I realized that would happen I tried gunning for it.
I was stressed as smurf though when I could only seemlingly do two paths, so just picked the Chaos aligned path, and later checked where I screwed up on the Nuetral path. Turns out I didn't screw up at all, and the last path just opens up afterwords, so Nuetral ending here I come!
Glad, because neither of the other options are good ideas. I mean I can understand the mentality, but smurf.
This will spoil pretty damn major plot points, so I'd avoid it unless you've beaten the game. :p
(SPOILER)Law involves keeping the current status Quo of the seperated lands and using reds to keep the demons at bay. Reds are human brains made from what is basically a human harvesting farm of humans raised specifically for red creation.
Chaos involves siding with Lilith and allowing the strong to shape the world as they see it.
Really at this point you are just choosing what kind of Tyranny better suites you. Given the shear state of trouttiness of Tokyo however, and the extreme class system (Something that the game doesn't do that well to show saddly) of Makado, you really can see where everyone is coming from here. Still though, those are some trout options to weigh.
Edit:
Oh, and there is the bad ending where....
(SPOILER)You activate the Large Hadron Collider and cause it to go berserk creating a black hole that destroys the universe.
Played FF 7 for 13 hours yesterday, my eyes started hurting and I had to stop.
Playing the trout outta Dragon's Crown.
I left my 3ds at my mom's this weekend and thought i'd bring in the old psp to check out some more of the Mega Man X and Gosts n Goblins enhanced remakes I bought a while ago.
It was a magical commute ^_^
EUROPA UNIVERSALIS IV :squee:
Finished off SHin Megami IV, and it was a bit anti-climactic, but still fun.
Now time to finish off Dynasty Warriors before Saints Row and Killer is Dead hit.
I'm playing Pokémon Conquest again. I really wish the random events (shops, Eevees, swarms, etcetera) occurred with greater frequency.
I think Duck Tales Remastered came out yesterday, so I'm going to check that when I get done.
i game overed once in paper mario and had to redo trout (danger mario strat is dangerous whodathunk), and then when i went to redo trout game went debug crazyhttps://pbs.twimg.com/media/BRggtYuCAAITITF.jpg so i stopped playing :)
now I'm playing the sequel, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It's actually kind of interesting playing these long games at such a SLOW pace, and it's making me feel like I could maybe, MAYBE, play through a PS1-era FF game next. 9, probably.
Ignoring everything else for DuckTales Remastered. It's quite fun so far. So many memories.
