Cinderella Man
Another quality boxing movie. Russell Crowe's depiction of Jim Braddock was pretty well done, and the story behind his second chance is pretty inspiring. Paul Giamatti's turn as trainer Joe Gould, however, stole the show. I highly recommend it. 4/5

Memoirs of a Geisha
4/5 - Quite a pretty film, but it does get a bit tedious at times. And the accents at the start of the film are rather hard to follow.
-
16 Blocks - 3/5. An entertaining movie but nothing special. Bruce Willis did well playing an old guy, though. I didn't think he'd be as good as he was - not the tough macho dude for a change! I thought the acting all round was pretty good, actually... just nothing special in the movie itself.

Fear and Loathing In Las vegas - 5/5
Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie - 10/5 (Easily one of the best Animated movies I have seen)
Platoon - 5/5
Aliens - 4/5
Constantine - 5/5
Resident Evil - 3/5

Cinderella Man: 4.5/5: Russel Crowe and Paul Giamatti both give a great performance.
Sideways: 4.9/5 Once again Paul Giamatti shines.
Lord of War: 4/5: Got some bad reviews but I loved it, especially because Jared Leto's character has the same name as me.:D
The Constant Gardner: 4/5: A little bit on the slow slide, never the less, great acting and plot.
Catch Me If You Can: 4.9/5: DiCaprio is underrated, his performance in this movie and The Aviator really show his talent.
The Shawshank Redemption: 5/5: One of my favorite movies ever, a story of true friendship and hope.
Next To See: Hotel Rwanda
The Matador
New Martin Scorsese movie (forgot the name)
Edit: Also I thought that Brokeback Mountain was way overrated. Yes the acting was terrific and the theme's were great. But the overall movie kind of bored me which usually never happends to me.

Better off dead 4/5
A possibly-overlooked movie from the 80's that is loony, yet quite funny.
Along came a spider 3/5
Thrilling, but not very deep

Almost-one-year bump!
I've seen a few movies recently so figured I'd revive this thread.
Knocked Up - 4/5. As far as chick flicks go, this is definitely one of the better ones to take your girl out to see. Good laughs and overall well done.
The Bourne Ultimatum - 5/5. I really thought this couldn't have had anything done to it to make it any better. It was just... satisfying. Which is exactly what most final movies in trilogies are not. So hurrah to the Bourne trilogy, it did what the likes of the Matrix could not.
Rush Hour 3 - 2/5. Eh. Almost every moment seemed a bit over the top for me. Some funny moments but not enough to make it worth seeing.
-
Knocked Up: T'was good enough, though some of the stuff was just a little weird, and had me saying "Why do that?". Little uncomfortable seeing it with a girl I had just brought out for the night. 3/5
Superbad: Okay this movie is actually hilarious. It's just so well put together, and the acting is brilliant! Fogell/McLovin' is probably the best bit about the film. 5/5

Reall looking forward to Superbad. Also hoping to see Shoot 'Em Up and maybe another one or two this week.
-
Shoot 'Em Up looks terrible, in my opinion, it seems to similar to Matrix and it just isn't appealing to me.
-
I tend to trust IMDb when the previews don't entice me. Any rating of 7.5 and above is generally worth seeing when you consider I have a monthly payment that means I can see as many movies as I like at the local cinema.
-
seeing as no one has mentioned this
Harry Potter 5 4/5
It doesmt stick to the original story, which i usually despise, but it is still really enjoyable
-
Superbad is very good. They set out to try to capture the atmosphere of teenagers, sex and alcohol and did a very good job. Funny movie.

Rewatched The Life of Brian the other day, it gets better every time.
6/5
