Playing FF 7.
Taking a break from FF 7 and playing Aion. I need to craft to make some money for enchanting my gear.
Diablo 3 some evenings and Dragon Quest 8 when I'm riding my bike trainer.
I'm burned out, so I'll be taking a break from gaming.
May I recommend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burnout_%28series%29
Despite my intense hatred for VIII, I'm playing it again for some weird reason. Sigh.. Time to spend my first 7 hours or so mastering Triple Triad again!
I was watching some of Day[9]'s playthrough of XCom: Enemy Unkown when I decided to start a new game myself. That was around 11:00 am and it's just shy of 4:00 pm now. I've been naming all of my dudes after EoFF staff so far. Many of them are in their second iterations, but Raistlin has by far performed the worst so far. I'm up to Raistlin number 4 so far. Granted, he's always an assault class for some reason and I almost always run him forward to capture aliens alive which means he's in considerable danger on almost every mission.
After recently acquiring the Steam version of FF7, my old passion for programming took over and I remembered I still had an account on qhimm.com. Needless to say, I've been modding FF7 (gameplay-wise) for a while now, ever since I got all achievements which was about a week after its release.

I tried out STALKER Call of Pripyat and it's pretty sweet. The Misery 2.0 mod adds some more stuff in there to make it harder which is awesome. It's actually really great, I didn't realise the Stalker series was this good. Probably worth checking out if you're into the newer Fallout games.
Putting down Dragons Crown and powering through the rest of DW 8 in preparation for Saints Row IV.
Replaying Jak & Daxter: The precursor legacy for the PS2.
It's been years.... my god has this game aged well.
Been watching my wife play Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars. I recently got her the Broken Sword complete collection because she loves Point and Click Adventures.
Work has really been throwing a wrench in my videogaming plans lately but I've mostly been alternating between Europa Universalis IV and Monaco in the small amount of time I have. Also dumped an hour into Beat Hazard which I hadn't played in a while and I forgot how great that game is as well. It's a space shooter set to your own music and it's great
I know the hurt pike, all the extra shifts I had killed my game time and didn't clear out Shin MEgami IV nearly as early as I would have liked. :(
Either way, it's beaten now, along with DW8 and my first Dragon Crown Playthrough!
Perhaps I'll spend the next couple days playing FF Dimensions while awaiting Saints Row IV.
I've been playing a lot of Super Stickman Golf 2. It's a smartphone game. If any of you have an Android phone you can download it for free and we can play against each other. For some reason the iPhone version is 3 bucks (lol), but if any of you iFolks want to pony up the cash we could also play against each other.
i am currently playing Tales Of Graces F and Borderlands 1 DLC Trying to get 100 Percent and Finish getting my 50 for my 2nd Plat and for classic i amd playing Spyro 1 and Medievil
Whaddya mean, I can't play Final Fantasy XIV until Saturday?
In the meantime, I'll perhaps go through some more Football Manager 2012 with Eyeson F.C., although I suspect most of that will be spent in YouTube and the relevant thread at EoFF rather than in the game itself, because I have so much catching up to do. >_>; I may actually give up on offering thoughts etc. in the thread if activity remains low - it's waaaay easier to keep people up to date in #eoff.
playing Pokemon Sapphire. In recent years I've played Pokemon "the wrong way" as in pretty much just using one Pokemon for battling and only catching others as needed as HM slaves. but in preparation for X&Y which I am super excited for and want to play the right way, I've actually been like, training a TEAM. I just beat the Weather Institute this morning and my current traveling team consists of (I can't remember the levels exactly so these are guesses):
HerdULike, Marshtomp (F), Lv. 32
Denmark, Aron (M), Lv. 27 or 28
Sam, Kirlia (F), Lv. 28 (SASSY nature :p)
Phil, Ninjask (M), Lv. 26
Zig, Zigzagoon (M), Lv. 3, HM Slave (Cut, Rock Smash. best early game HM Slave in gen 3)
I'm not sure why I named my Nincada/Ninjask Phil. Other EoFFers are also Pokemon but they're all BOXED. I have a couple birds for Fly and a Tentacool for the non-useful Water HMs (Waterfall and Dive) but I don't think my battle team is gonna change all that much from the 4 I'm currently using. And I will catch but not battle with Kyogre when the time comes.
im pretty much against HM slaves :P
instead i make sure that i have different types of pokemon, each capable of 1 of those HM's (except for flash!) that way all pokemon are still usefull, and so are the HM moves you teach them.
i am not a collector at all, i only catch the 5 pokemon that i need to get through the poke-league (+ the starter) that way you wont waste precious battle-exp on pokemon that will eventually end up in the box anyway
i pretty much have my Pokemon team already set up in my mind before i start the game.
but the only good HM move is Surf
Attack-type Water Pokemon should learn Waterfall instead of Surf. Come on, man.
srsly. Waterfall and Surf are the only useful ones. Though, I'd recommend using an HM proficient Pokemon as a sixth one until the Elite Four. Usually saves room for far better moves. Though in the later games you can finally remove HM moves at the Move Deleter's house.
Just beat Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I don't know what everyone was upset about with the ending!!! Very awesome game... I'd like to play the original one day if there's a decent playable version of it.
We shall see! Once I get through Skyrim, the Witcher 2, Fallout, hundreds of hours more of dota 2 and whatever other pc games jump in the way before then.
I'm starting some good games this weekend! What's peoples weekend rotations looking like?
Final Fantasy XIV is my weekend ;p
Until then I'll be playing a lot of LoL and Burnout Paradise
Started playing the first Super Robot Taisen Original Generation on the GBA. I went with Kyosuke cause he looks like Gene from Outlaw Star.
Skyrim! So far it's everything I'd hoped it would be... same tight dungeon design from Oblivion, and the way they flesh out the quests into actual stories and adventures is kinda crazy. I went to the college of Whiterun to study magic and so far this sequence is so much more than what you normally expect from a sidequest.
Just cleared out Saints Row IV. Actual ending wasn't that good, but I'm digging the cast singing Just a Friend.
Have yet again shelved Ni No Kuni to play Dynasty Warriors 8. I don't think I have the patience for RPGs anymore. :)
Also, my friend and I have rediscovered our passion for Rugby League Live 2.
Just started Hitman: Absolution. I got a craving for Bloody Money, but couldn't get a hold of it, so this'll have to do. :D
Right now it's a toss up between Nehrim (Oblivion mod), WoW and Shadowrun Returns. Waiting on the edge of my bumcheeks for the new Bioshock Infinite DLC.
Awesomenauts is crazy addicting. I think it's supposed to be played with friends but I'm having a ton of fun just beating on bots with botbros.
Playing a bit of FF Dimensions, and it's not bad, though kind of slow moving and not that engaging in the beginning.
The game dragged down noticably by the troutty control scheme though.
Having come off a Game Dev Tycoon kick due to patch 1.4 I've graduated to the far spergier and more detailed GameBiz 3. It's made by a German or Dane or something whose English is less than perfect so one does things like "Develope game", and the UI is the trouttiest trout I've seen since 1989. On the other hand if you want you can make videogames for damn nearly any system or OS you can imagine. I'm not just talking about the fact the game starts early enough for the ZX Speccy and the C64 to be choices, I mean you can devote yourself to putting out superb games on the Texas Instruments' TI-99/4A or the MSX or VIC-20 if you want to. Better still the game is enormously more reactive than GDT, so if you consistently put great games out on a console that console might start selling better. Or you can make your own - I've not done that yet but I was reading someone else's trip report and he made a console so successful it beat up the SNES and drove the Genesis into oblivion and SEGA exited the console scene like 7 years ahead of schedule.
Football Manager 2012. Yes, it's a bit outdated but I haven't got the newest one.
I'm currently working on taking Stirling Albion from Division 3 (where I dropped them) to the Premier.
I've also taken up League of Legends again. I need to change my main character. Ashe just ain't cutting it anymore. Might give Sivir a try.
Well, I'll probably only get a couple more hours into Dimensions, as soon I shall be playing Sweet Fuse: At your Side!
Along with that I'll have Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling together.
So Dimensions will be sidelined for a litlte while. :p
So, so much Final Fantasy XIV. xD
The Lego Harry Potters and Saints Row 4. I am a gigantic arsehole in both. Metaphorically, mostly.
So in GB3 I made my own console, damn near bankrupting myself in the manufacture thereof, but managed to avoid the brink. Now a few months after going on sale I've beaten the trout out of the PlayStation and Saturn and also here's a sample release week for my console:
Kingdom O' Magic/Supreme 32
Syndicate Wars/Supreme 32
Shin Megami Tensei II/Supreme 32
Wing Commander: The Kil../Supreme 32
Muppet Treasure Island/Supreme 32
Stars!/Supreme 32
Spaceward Ho! IV/Supreme 32
Blast Chamber/Supreme 32
So yeah everything from Syndicate Wars to SMT2 to goddamn Stars! of all things. Feels good to make a vidya console.
e; Fallout is being ported to the S-32. Console of the year all years.
AC3 again.. to prepare myself for the new assassins creed.. and becaus it looks so awesome on my new tv :P
Ni No Kuni. I cannot believe that Ghibli's first foray into games is better than the last 3 final fantasy games.
I wanna play Ni No Kuni ;_;
But I have a pretty large list of games queued up - Finishing FF7 & 8, then Legend of Dragoon, then Chrono Trigger.
I've been playing FFXIV alot havn't been able to log into my main because of 1017 so I started a character on Ramuh(japan server). So I just try once to get onto Sargatanas then go play my toon on there. and then I play either fallout new vegas or hitman when servers and in maintenance
Just beat FFIII (PSP) recently. Moved on to Tactics Ogre (PSP).
Why is Awesomenauts so addictive augh
And Game Dev Tycoon too. :shobon: What an addictive little game.
I'm going through all of my favorite 360 games again because now I have internet and I can do multiplayer and DLC and it's like they're brand new again c:
Well, just got one of the endings on Sweet Fuse.
This may not only be the only game, but the only kind of media, in which a male escort and an 8 year old girl are 'bro's' within twenty minutes of knowing each other.
Mark of the Ninja. Really great stuff.
I seriously can't stop playing Awesomenauts
Logged five more hours on Diablo 3 on my PS3 while I was on my bike trainer yesterday. The gameplay is so much more enjoyable on a console than the PC.
Rouge Legacy. Very fun game. There is something very satisfying about slowing building up abilities, equipment, and stats for each character. I like how the map is randomized, too. Hell, you can get the ability to have it stay in between death's. It may seem like a game that's too hard and even a bit of a grind at first, but once you get the ball rolling, you'll find out how you want to tackle the game and it becomes so fun.
Aurora. I've terraformed Luna, am working on colonizing Mars, and the construction of Task Group BIG DOG should be completed by the end of 2098, meaning we'll be ready to breach our first Jump Point in early 2099 and begin explorations beyond Sol.
Picked up Counter-Strike: GO again, and started actually playing the classic competitive mode only to suddenly find that it's actually fun as hell, especially with a team that uses mics and coordinates. Didn't expect that to be honest, but the whole 5v5 format works really really well for the game.
And as a side note, all of the weapon skins and cases that get dropped in that game are readily salable on the Steam marketplace and I've actually made a few bucks as a result.
One hour from now, I shall be standing on a treadmill in front of a tv playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Tonight's gonna be a good good night.
Went back to console gaming since moving into a new apartment with a new tv and my surround sound hooked up again finally. The animation in Valkyria Chronicles on a high refresh rate tv is just stunning!
Seiken Densetsu 3. I've never beaten it, and I want to try to do so this time.
Well, Ross 154 is an alright system with some valuable deposits of resources in it, and Barnard's Star has huge amounts of resources along with a world that can be made habitable with modest effort. But Alpha Centauri is the best sytem I have ever seen in Aurora. There are six comfortable worlds that can be terraformed easily, and another seven or eight that will take more effort but are certainly not on the order of Venus or anything like that. The resource numbers here are so high I can only assume Command had to have the ansible checked for errors when they received them because it's an order of magnitude bigger than anything Sol ever had. It'll still take time to make habitable and productive but in a few decades once that's well underway the capital of our empire will no longer be Earth.
Final Fantasy X, first time.
It is a great game. But I found it to be too grindy after a while, and they could've done more with the descendants mechanic. Like maybe instead of randomly generated kids, they could've made the kids have some small stat influence based on their parents. The controls also were way too touchy/floaty. Some of the challenge rooms were pretty much impossible without pixel-accurate maneuvering. I'm looking forward to Chasm by Discord Games LLC ? Kickstarter, which is a similar game.
Currently playing Spelunky (yet another roguelike platformer). I like the feeling of very (very very very) slowly getting better at a game that seems impossibly difficult at first.
My feelings on Rogue Legacy are similar, it starts out very fun but it gets grindy before long and the whole "heir" mechanic is underdeveloped and just doesn't have enough traits.
Having never got into it at all when it was new, I'm giving Bully another try because I've yet to meet a single other person who doesn't think it is excellent.
You know, I never thought I'd be able to say this about a CS game that uses matchmaking, but the people who play the competitive mode in CS: GO are downright pleasant. I don't think I've ever experienced this in all of my years of playing a CS game. It'd be like starting up some original DOTA and not getting insulted and cursed out the second you die once.
Spelunky is amazing and about a million times better than Rogue Legacy, in my estimation. I never beat it, made it as far as the fourth level in the Ice Caves and died. I haven't given it a go in awhile, but your post brought back some good memories. Maybe I'll fire it up again soon.Quote:

i still have to pick it up but since i am now forced to pick it up at a different establishment, im not sure how to get there.
i had already forgotten that i pre-ordered it till they texted me that it was ready to be picked up!
Zing! Bringing this thread to the surface.
I saw the animation for The Wolf Among Us and couldn't pass it up because hooooly trout I love love love comic-style animation. It's absolutely stunning and I am so pleased. The fact that it's based on a comic book doesn't hurt, either! :monster: The storyline seems like it's a fairytale gone wrong and turned intensely dark with fantasy characters inhabiting New York. I am all about dark twists to things and am enjoying it so far. It's silly to see little characters like slumlord Mr. Toad with a cockney accent dropping f-bombs left and right and generally swearing up a storm. Also, I like that there seems to be a world of possibilities of the storyline based on what choices you make.
If I had a complaint to make, it's that you are supposed to be the Big Bad Wolf but the voice doesn't entirely fit. Also, I am finding the gameplay a little difficult to get used to. I just beat the hell out of someone who I'm guessing is supposed to be The Woodsman (because an ax was involved, I guess, I dunno) and it took me a bit to realize what the prompting was trying to get me to do. (confirmed he was the woodsman) It's not really clear when the dialogue sequences end and you're able to function in the game again because there is no transition.
The file is pretty small and it doesn't look like there's much depth to it, but it's episode one out of five so I hope they keep cranking them out.
Been playing the Clannad Visual Novel (patched in English) for a few days. I'm beginning to see the enormity of this game with the sheer amount of choices you make. I could swear that I could've potentially missed ever meeting half the cast if I hadn't made the correct choices.
I've so far been following the anime pretty closely, although I didn't set out to, it's just the choices that come to mind naturally.
I mean to at some point. Something about it is really reminding get me of Grim Fandango, but I can't put my finger on what it is.
Well it is basically a modern take on a point and click adventure game.
And you shouldn't play The Walking Dead at some point. You should play it yesterday. It was game of the year quality stuff. It made me cry. Like legitimately cry.
I don't do that because of a game.
Holy trout, it's free! Annnd acquired.
Path of Exile has officially publicly released, free-to-play, for Steam today!!! I haven't done much other than install and boot it up...
I recently caught the Civilization bug, where something just got turned on in my head and it all just "clicked" for me. I finally got it. I've been going back and forth between IV and III.
As usual, Dota 2. A massive patch was released that changed everything and the internet has been going nuts!
Looks like episode one is what I got and it was free.
That should do. By the time you're done you won't be able to stop yourself from whipping out the credit card. :p
Not helpful because I am unemployed. I only bought The Wolf Among Us because it was five bucks.
You won't be unemployed forever!
Hell, I'd buy the damn thing for you if I could because it's that damn good and people need to play it!
I'm starting to really get into competitive Super Smash Brothers Melee and Project M.
A ton of people on my campus got me into it, as did a recent trip to NDK, and while I may not yet be great, SSB has easily become my favorite competitive fighting game. I get my ass kicked many times a week, but I will get better, and I will kill EVERYONE.
Been alternating between three games for my 3DS.
Animal Crossing New Leaf, Pokemon Y, and now Ace Attorney Dual Destinies.
I've been sucked into Gran Turismo 5 again now that I have my racing wheel set up. When does 6 come out again?
Finished the first episode of The Wolf Among Us. It feels short, and as much as I like this inter-active storytelling I'm kindof pissed about having to wait for the rest after spending such a short time in the story!
The gamplay isn't really worth anything at all, but I am caring less and less the more I get sucked into the story. The story probably isn't anything amazing on paper, but I have such a soft spot for PI and criminal investigations and (SPOILER)serial killer trout. Add to the fact that everything in this game is dark and twisted and it just makes me absolutely giddy over it. I love this trout and I'm so glad I picked it up.
Gren is without a doubt the most smurfed up thing I've seen so far (SPOILER)(aside from the grisly murders). I like seeing all of the different fairytale characters emerge and seeing what their roles are. They seem to come from the entire realm of fantasy, not just sticking to princess tales or Grimm's fairytales or anything like that. I'm not sure where Gren is from, but at a guess I'd say he's supposed to be Grendel from Beowulf. And the bartender is named Holly but I haven't placed where she's from yet.
To summarize, I'd probably give the first episode a 8/10. I feel like I'm probably being too generous with how starstruck I am at finding something so aligned to my interests, but no smurfs are given. I'm loving it and can't wait for the next!

Pokemon Stadium and Final Fantasy Theatrhythm. :shobon:
Pokemon Yellow, ive already decided on my team: Pickachu, Pidgeot, Nidoran (m), bulbasaur, squirtle and charmander :D i know where to get the starters :3
The Last of Us, the multiplayer
i want to play pokemon X/Y but i find the 2ds a little to expensive
My Pokemon Stadium disappeared into oblivion, and it always makes me sad to think about. I'm pretty sure my sister took it when she moved out of the parent's house, and she probably sold it or something.
Playing Walking Dead and I have the same problem with it that I do with The Wolf Among Us. There's no clear sign of transition of when a dialogue or scene ends and you can take action and it frustrates me!
The animation isn't as good as TWAU but I like Walking Dead, so I will continue. I also like that Rick isn't the main character. It's nice to see a change of pace with a different character in the same situation. I do wonder if the rest of the cast will show up or if it'll be entirely new.
The Walking Dead was a fantastic title.
Wind Waker HD is what I'm playing now as I attempt to sober up so I can go get drunk at a party. :3
TWD is superb.
Diablo III
...So much Diablo III
Breath of Fire II: A truly forgotten gem, and underrated game with terrible translation.
There's a freaking amazing fan translation done of BoF II posted at Romhacking.net. If you like the game, I suggest checking it out. :p
I think I'm gonna start a 3-heart challenge run of LoZ Minish Cap sometime soon.
It's my favorite Zelda game, so I think it'd be really fun.
Playing NES a lot lately. Playing through Zelda (NES stopped working at the final dungeon, but I think I've got it fixed up again), Batman, Smash TV, Bionic Commando, and Gradius.
Bought Spec Ops on sale on Steam a few days ago. Beat it last night. Probably the first game in a while that I felt compelled to keep playing until I was done. Really well done stuff in there.
Hell yes. Spec Ops is an unbelievable game.
I found it difficult to finish. It was almost too much - not that I felt it wasn't distasteful, or bad, or anything like that. It was just so full of misery, it was legitimately hard to handle.
I'm playing Costume Quest with my fiancee, and trying to get back into Planescape: Torment. Costume Quest is super cute and fun.
Is it the comical one? It really needs a well done make over in translation. It's an awesome game and has heavy story, that I feel is often lost on people due to to the poor and over the top cheese translation of the original. I've always loved it, but I see a lot of bad stuff I didn't notice when I was 13, lol. I'd love to give it a shot if you have the link.
No, it's not comical. It's just a full on re-translation and oh god is it glorious.
Romhacking.net - Translations - Breath of Fire II
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. The system gave me some trouble at the beginning with resetting a few minutes into the gameplay, but I got it sorted out. Got Epona from the Lon Lon Ranch after going seven years into the future.
Been playing Pokémon X and eXceed 2nd. It makes my pinky hurt a little bit, but I've been told it's basically Ikaruga and that makes me want to play that cause this polarity system is really fun.
Played Monster Loves You and it was a cute little game and now I'm currently playing Costume Quest and omg this game is adorable.
Alright, Sonic did NOT translate very well to the Mario Galaxy style gameplay.
And I had hopes for Lost World. :(
I won my first game of civilization!
me and my boyfriend went to the local gameshop to pick up the new Assassins Creed Buckaneer Edition..
But they werent in the store yet.
we were suppose to be called when we could pick it up but my boyfriend did not have any patience for it. so we went to the store only to get disapointed..
i should have made a bet, that it wasnt there yet.. danm, i missed out of 10 euros!
but at the store he finaly came to his senses and decided to not wait for the Buckaneer Edition to come in and bought a skull edition instead.
Just like i told him before it was not necesairy to get 2 Buckaneer's (since we live in the same hous, its no use to get 2 Edward Statue's)
ill put the disc in my own ps3 in the morning ^^
Diablo 1 on my phone, it is awesome to play at school.
I just played The Stanley Parable. Bought it yesterday and promptly did everything I could in the game. I think there are only a couple of lines of dialogue I missed. Anyways, it was kind of a disappointment. It was certainly clever and had some funny moments, but it was often boring to me.
I also just beat Batman on the NES, which is one of my greatest gaming accomplishments, haha.
I am also playing Parasite Eve for the first time, which is great fun.
Internet fixed and multiple PS3s secured, so I've been getting back into GTA:O with some friends of mine. Hoping for a massive session on Monday and Tuesday. :D
Will also be getting back into Dark Arisen, as I've got a lot of hires to pay back.
FFXIV has devoured my soul. I keep meaning to get to GTA:O while all of my EoFF buds are still playing but FFXIV.
I got through the main part of Tactics Ogre: LUCT. Amazing game. Before going back and playing through the other scenarios and doing the coda, I'm playing Pokemon Y and maybe some other stuff. I'm looking forward to returning to Tactics Ogre eventually, though.
I started playing Etrian Odyssey IV again. I love the town music so much. Have a listen
Back to Aion after 4 day break.
Ninja Gaiden 3 on Xbox. Disappointing... nowhere near NG2
so apearenly the Buccaneer edition of the new Assassins creed is completely sold out.. it didnt even make it to the local store here in my town :( Ubisoft does not send them anymore to stores..
so now im going to get myself a Skull Edition with an statue on the side.. i get 40% discount on it :3 at the end im pretty much getting the same stuff for the same price
Congratulations!!! More people need to play this game!
Yeah the music is pretty addicting, I like how the mushrooms in the Miasma Forest kinda dance to the battle theme!
I've been playing Etrian Odyssey IV and Mario 3d Land on the go, and recently been playing Modern Warfare 3 at home to get ready for Ghosts. Dota 2 may have killed my CoD addiction so I'm hoping this one stays more interesting longer. Also tried out my TVs 2d -> 3d feature and somehow it actually works.
Puzzle & Dragons. I am addicted to a smartphone game. Oh the depths to which I have sunk. Also, may finally finish FFVIII. I have done everything there is to do (minus 2 blue magic skills for Quistis I missed. Le sigh.)
Also, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. And Snes and Xbox Mario Kart. I am old school.
After work I brought home Call of Duty Ghosts, beat the campaign, and grinded a few hours in multiplayer. The campaign was short and sweet and I think gets back to what made the games great to begin with instead of adding arbitrary features and length to satisfy fan complaints. But overall, this is the first game in a long time to actually shake the series foundations to the core, adding in legitimately new gameplay experiences, instead of adding superficial coats of shiny paint. Black Ops II introduced a lot of new ideas, but it was still the same perks, the same modes, and unfortunately, a lot of the same guns. The new multiplayer experience with how the maps play and how you build your characters doesn't feel like Call of Duty at all.
i have now started to get into AC IV Black Flag.
i love the main character Edward Kenway, he is very realistic.
he is not a hero, he just hapens to get between the templars and the assassins, and even then he stays very real, he is there for himself not not their cause.
unlike previous characters Edward does not (yet) clearly chose a side
Finally trying FFXIII-2. I'm kinda liking the 2 main characters, but I have no clue what I think about the story yet. I'm going to make myself give FFXIII another shot after I'm done with it's sequel. Snow and Serah don't even remotely act like an engaged couple though...I don't buy them as love birds.....and Snow is a retard too.
My uncle is a fire retardant blanket and I take grave offense to your post
Dark Souls, to see what all the fuss is about. I did not make any progress for 2 hours trying to finish the Catacombs. Turns out I was underleveled and there were other places I could have gone to. ._.
Final Fantasy IV on iOS. I don't own a DS or PSP so it's exciting seeing a bit of polish added to the awesome story.
This is pretty much the same as the DS version though, right? Damn, may sound like blasphemy to the original, but the DS version is my favorite of IV. I love it! I'd youtube the CGI scene for it though, because I think it was removed for the iOS version, but that scene is wonderfully done. One of the best intros of all the Final Fantasy games IMO.
Matt and I are currently playing through Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, but we are almost done with that. Once that's finished though, we'll be going back to Donkey Kong Country Returns. Good god are we bad at this game. xD
Over the last couple of weeks I played through and beat Bioshock Infinite, The Walking Dead, Parasite Eve, and To The Moon. All were fantastic and exceeded my expectations.
Right now I'm trying to play through Ninja Gaiden and Super C for the NES. I'm also thinking about starting up FF VII as it's been a long time since I've played the game. I'm curious to see what I think about it now.
Super Mario Brothers. I've been playing newer gen games for too long, Mario is kicking my ass.
Just beat Hotline Miami. That was certainly a thing! :monster:
P.S. A good thing mind you.
>>> Disgaea D2. The game is pretty pointless but is just as addictive as ever..
Im trying to beat "Tyrant Baal" now, his stats are ridiculous high. I expect a new 400 hours gameplay :zombert:.:luca:
Right now I don't have a lot of time for video games, which is killing me inside :crying: but I've been messing around with a Star Trek mod for Civ IV and it's pretty good so far.
F-Zero GX
It's my new favorite racing game.
Downloading Contrast and Resogun. Initiate playtime in T minus one hour.
Will probably play Contrast soon, though right now I'm on Knack.
And Knack is awesome.
Still pretty obsessed with my Nintendo 3DS, don't think I'll ever get tired of it. xD
I've been playing the obvious Pokemon X, but on the side I've got some other interesting ones like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, The Lord of the Rings Lego edition, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.
Dear lord, help me when Zelda: Link Between Worlds comes out next week..... I probably won't even put down my DS till I beat it. I'm so damn excited.
I've been playing some Sonic the Hedgehog too and it's kicking my ass even worse than Mario.
DAMN YOU ROBOTNIK!
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
It's aight.
I am flitting between
FFXIV
FFVII
FFXIII
Dragon Age: Origins
Fallout: New Vegas
I'm doing a Mass Effect Marathon.
Oooh which one? The first? :)
I got enough writing done yesterday to do some gaming so I revisited Awesomenauts for the first time in a couple of months. What an addicting little game. As I have often said, I don't really do MOBAs, but Awesomenauts is easily the most fun MOBA that I have tried.
Need For Speed Most Wanted reboot.
I prefer the original, though.
I've been playing Pokemon X constantly over the last week, but now i'm having urges to play either FFVIII and FFVI again. not sure which though
OOooodo VIII! I'm about to jump into Lunatic Pandora in that one!
Kingdom Hearts II
Last played this aobut 8 years ago, brings back good memories. I seem to remember less about this game than I thought. Also, dual-wielding keyblades is damn epic.
I've been playing FFVII on my commutes and it's been a lot of fun - I'm noticing all kinds of cool things that make me appreciate the game more. I'm not sure if I will continue playing it after Zelda arrives this Friday, though.
Speaking of weekends, I just realized i've been getting Elder Scrolls Online beta invites for a while but just got one for the weekend after next. Anyone else plan on checking it out then?
I got one for this weekend and I'm going to make a cute dunmer boy and no one can stop me
Well, it's almost been a month and I've finally finished it. In reality it was just about 40-50 hours of gameplay but it's not something you finish in one quick go.
I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who takes an interest in the Visual Novel genre, or to anyone who watched and liked the Clannad Anime. The storyline, especially After Story's, is exceptional, and I dare say my absolute favorite across all genres to date, period.
Now I'm going on to Tomoyo After: ~It's a Wonderful Life~. I've already spoiled the ending for myself, sadly, but at the very least it got me psyched to play the game and experience it for myself. There's no English patch for the all-age-approved-version, as far as I'm aware, which is a shame, but I suppose I'll just play through the 18+ version. Erogé, for me, is a downside, not an upside, but I'll be darned if I let it ruin what seems to be an amazing storyline.
I'm playing Risk of Rain.
Genre: Roguelike-platformer-shooter
Graphics: Pixel art, not bad, but I've seen better. The sprites are so tiny you lose your character on the screen sometimes. The enemies often look like big blobs.
Music: Amazing!
Difficulty: Through the roof. There's a timer and it ticks up steadily, and every 5 minutes the game gets harder. If you progress too fast to try to beat the timer, you won't have enough powerups and levels to survive. If you sit around and farm items and levels, the timer will tick up to the point where it kicks the crap out of you. It took me about a dozen tries to make it past the second level. After 7 hours, I've only made it past level 3 once. That's on normal mode; I can't fathom hard mode. I went to easy mode to beat the game just to see the ending, and even then it wasn't trivial. I can see some people being frustrated with this kind of game.
But I'm having fun. There are a lot of unlockables. Being a roguelike means high replayability. The characters you unlock (once you manage to unlock any, which isn't easy) are unique and each has a very different playstyle. You can easily get a lot of playtime out of this game.
It's a good game. I plan to grind at it until I don't suck. Also I hope to try it co-op soon, that might make it easier.
PS: I appreciate people who post more than one sentence, so I can get an idea of whether a game is good or bad. Just saying...
i just finished Assassins Creed Black Flag :(
such a cute end.. yet im not happy with it! maybe becaus it is the end :O
it is clear that ther will be another assassins creed since the whole 'outside the animus' did not have a real ending.
i feel so empty.. what can i do now?
Pokemon Y
Started Zelda : a Link Between Worlds yesterday
Disgaea D2 is on the backburner because of the two above.
Hearthstone every now and then.
Now I need to hurry and beat Zelda before GT6 (in two weeks)
A Link Between Worlds is out? I'll have to get it for Christmas. I'm really just killing time with stuff like CS until Gran Turismo comes out.
There's going to be a DLC case for Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, so I'll be playing that game for a couple days! :D
I've found myself wanting this game and I'm not sure why.
I'm not playing anything lately because of stupid NaNo :( At least there's only about a week left before it's over, at which point I'm going to start my yearly Morrowind playthrough :hyper:
I like you. Play a whole lotta Yar's Revenge for me.
Rented the Last of Us, let's see how it is.
That's a god damn disgrace is what it is.
Bingo Bash
I'm playing Link Between Worlds too. So awesome!
Currently playing FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Earth? Never heard of it. I now live in a place called Eorzea.
Getting ready to play through FFXIII-2 for a second time. I haven't played it since around its launch but I want to be play through it again in preparation for Lightning Returns. This time around I'll buy some of the DLC such as the Lightning quest and the colosseum battles. Just beat XIII for a second time in August, I think, so all of my playthroughs seem to be even enough apart.
Downloaded the 400 days DLC chapter for Telltale's The Walking Dead game. I had a lot of blast playing the bonus chapter and I'm ready for season 2.
Speaking of TWD I played through Survival Instinct twice recently and I had a lot of fun with it. This game has been panned critically but I love the trout out of it.
Was able to download some free Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance DLC so I put that in for a bit.
Resogun.
And it is great. Best title on PS4 right now.
Just got done playing Phoenix Wright: Justice for All
Going to start Apollo Justice soon and then Pokemon XY! :jess:
I cannot wait to get my paws on a 3DS. I really want the animal crossing one, but I'll probably just settle for the regular size.
I'm also still finishing up GTA V. I beat the main story, but a got a few other things to do.
Baldur's Gate
First playthrough. I spent like an hour exploring the first area, after leaving it I got killed by a bear and a wolf. Now the fun part: I forgot to save and I have to start from zero. ._.
Downloaded a demo of Ni No Kuni the other day.. It's only $20 in PSN, so I may just buy it.
Well having finished GTA V's main story (gotta say, RDR is better in that regard). I'm now finally playing some Deus Ex Human Revolution. The controls are weird and I need to re-start as I'm doing troute, but hell it's a good game.
I finally decided to go back and work on beating every main offline Final Fantasy game. I'm currently working on Final Fantasy II. After that I should just have III and XII left. I was really wanting to get into XIV A Realm Reborn, but finances got tight again just as I was about to purchase it.
I also just beat Uncharted 3 since its a pretty short game. While I did enjoy it quite a bit, it was hard getting used to the controls after The Last of Us. Also, my copy seemed to be extremely glitchy, mostly with a lot of stuttering in cutscenes making them nearly unwatchable. It was a shame.
Guys, I finished TLOU, and now I don't know how to feel. :(
Great game, great story, great gameplay. Highly recommend picking it up. Will be on sale on black friday just about everywhere.
I liked Sarah better than Ellie though.
Got into the TES:O beta which I'm not seriously interested in but being the lore dork that I am I wanted to take a look at it. I spent a good twenty minutes making a cute Dunmer husbando and then the client crashed and I couldn't be bothered trying it again. :p
a link between worlds is really good you guys
Metroid Prime 2: Echos.
Unlike a lot of people I'm actually really enjoying the ammo system. Adds a lot of strategy and planning that I really like.
Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4.
The only other Lego game I have is Star Wars prequel edition. As much fun as it is to duel with lightsabers and hit lasers back at droids, Lego Harry Potter has Star Wars beat. It's kinda sad though that the best Harry Potter game is in Lego.
got myself Pokemon X.
and there are already some things i cant agree on :P
the Exp.Share gives to much exp to the rest of the team, making leveling to easy. i find myself always being 5 levels above the next town. the challenge in raising a pokemon is gone.
i miss exploring 'team rocket' hide-outs.. but maybe they come later in the game since i just encountered Team Flare (or whatever they are called)
we'll see how this developes :)
normaly when i start a pokemon game i already know my team, i just have to collect them :P
but now i find myself in a mess since there are so many pokemon i want.. my current team sucks.. i have to many of the same type haha! :D.. ill get off my normal schedguel and catch everything i fancy xD
Random games I have never tried before off NES and SNES emulators.
Getting ready to play some Game Dev Tycoon. December is going to be a good month.
Wehuuu, I won a chocobo/turkey looking pet from the Thanksgiving event in Aion.

XCOM: Enemy Within :3
So jealous. At least do me the courtesy of naming a Canadian soldier after me if one comes up so I may live (and die) somewhat vicariously through them.
