World Cup qualifying reaches its conclusion this weekend and Wednesday next week. Three places left from Africa, four from Europe and two from the Uruguay v Costa Rica/Bahrain v New Zealand games. Come on Ireland!
I am hoping for a Bahrain win. No offence to BoB, it's just that Bahrain are on PES 10 and New Zealand aren't. :shobon:
(similarly I hope Egypt overcome Algeria)
Will be tough for Egypt, they have to win by at least three goals, or win by two goals and then beat Algeria again in a one-off playoff on neutral ground a few days later.
If we are to have a hope in this tie, I believe we need to keep a clean sheet at home. A 1-0 would even be ideal. Come on my boys I know you can do it!

Yeah especially as they have away goals in these playoffs I believe, so a clean sheet at home is hugely important.

Me and my brother always play through the World Cup on whatever football game we have. Been a tradition since '94. So I'm gonna have to edit in your boys, player by player, if they qualify. I did that :bou::bou::bou::bou: for Trinidad and Tobago in '06 and I did not enjoy it. :colbert:

Haha, I was saying today at work that we need to get the World Cup so we can allow other lower clubs to get some goals in.
The dream World Cup group:
England
USA (Ireland are a suitable replacement)
Australia
New Zealand
Seeing as Australia like to think of themselves as Asians, I think it's possible for them and NZ to be in the same group. Just imagine all the :bou::bou::bou::bou:-talking that would go on. It'd be awesome. England would probably end up going out, though, because all the other teams would love to beat them and be fired up.
Put Ireland in that group and have North Korea, USA and Italy together, that would be great - nuclear tension and memories of 1966!Quote:
