I hadn't even thought of that......Till now.......Quote:

But seriously, folks. I can't wait to see Tifa's boobs in full CG gloy.
I would like Dubbed but on the DVD have the option to watch it in Japanese with SubTitles.
Then Somtimes I can Read but if I don't feel like reading I can Watch it Dubbed.
TSW was made with English audio from the start. A pity they won't do the same with Advent Children.
Hm just registered here.
Anyway, ive seen the trailer now (God bless bittorrent) and its interesting. Ill buy it of course when it comes out, but i think that if the movie is only 10% done square needs to go back and fix a few things.
Firstly, sephiroth looks like a wife beater or some other unsavory petty criminal in that flashback shot. I mean, its just not the same without the glowing eyes and the zero-gravity bangs. Not to mention my big complaint with it, his hair. What happened to the badass silver? Now its dirty stringy gray. Seriously he looks like an old dirty crook. Although i do like the very Kefka-esque grin.
Cloud suffers the same hair problem. Its toooooooooo yelllooowwwww. Seriously, i thought his head was the sun the first time i saw it. The way i see it, he just looks like a cosplayer at a con.
The animation is fantastic though. The mystery-sephiroth-or-not-sephiroth fights like Vicious in coyboy bebop.
I believe the realistic style destracts from it though. It seems to me it would have been a little better with at least some of the distorted style like the psuedo-realistic cinematics in the game.
A long time ago some friends and i used to amuse ourselves by trying to think of suitable real-world actors to play ff7 characters. We revised out little list as we went for fun. My 2 favorite choices were Joaquin Pheonix for Sephiroth. The first time i watched Gladiator in the theater, the scene where his father tells him that he wont be emperor, the first thing i thought was "That dude really looks like Seph"
And that guy that played Col. Tavington in the Patriot as Tseng. (He also plays malfoy's dad in the harry potter movies). He just looks like Tseng in the Patriot.
Anyway now that ive rambled on for this long....
IMO this "Mystery Man" is no mystery at all.
Remember Jenova's hairstyle in the FMV of Sephiroth at Nibelheim? And wasn't it a similar colour? There are differences I'm sure, but then the same can be said for Sephiroth.
Think also that Jenova first appeared as a man. (many of these facts are in the plot analysis at gamefaqs) - there's no reason it shouldn't reappear as a man this time round.
Combine this with the various conclusions people have drawn that Jenova was the real villain, and its practical immortality, and you start to wonder....
Consider also this "Star scar syndrome". Is it really revenge against mankind from the planet, or some kind of random disease - or is another sign that Jenova is still alive? Could it be the same disease that Jenova already used in the past to wipe out most of the Cetra?
Now, Barrett, Tifa and co - I reluctantly came to the same conclusion that some others came to.... Cloud is the sole survivor, except maybe for Nanaki (we do see him 500 years later after all).
This was from reading this excellent and seemingly well verified information source:
http://www.webpost.net/ad/adventchild/ren/why.htm
Quote in particular is:
"The Japanese teaser says 'Cloud—who fought alone because the world refused others to live—lived a lonely life'"
That sounds to me like the others died. It does make sense, as why would he suddenly go alone and cut himself off from the others? Surely they'd all be together from the bond created in the game.
The reason of his survival would be because of the Jenova cells. As Lucrecia and I think a few others said in the game, Jenova cells make it more difficult for a person to die even if they want to.
Sephiroth IMO is probably just in flashbacks. Though perhaps if he did come back, he'd have undergone a similar "finding himself" experience as Cloud and turned out a good guy, no longer under Jenova's influence. Perhaps if he's alive, he'll join Cloud? (pure speculation here, I'm just remembering how they handled (SPOILER)Edea in FF8 and (SPOILER)Kuja in FF9).
Some have speculated over whose grave Cloud is visiting. I think it's clearly Zack's.
a) Cloud took the Buster Sword from Zack when he died. You start the game shortly after his arrival at Midgar, with the same weapon.
b) You can never sell the Buster Sword. Perhaps because it has sentimental value as a memory of Cloud's deceased best friend.
c) (Speculation) Cloud returns to a place that looks remarkably similar to the mini-cliff/hill in the Zack/Cloud flashback -hint hint- and returns the sword to its rightful place as a symbol of its weilder's death. (As someone said in another thread, and I see no reason to disbelieve it, a sword sticking out of the ground symbolises a death in Asian culture)
d) (Spec) The quote of "can't forgive himself, but wants to forgive himself" - I imagine this is over his confused 'takeover' of Zack's memories, and how such confusion helped Sephiroth/Jenova to control him and make him hand over the Black Materia that caused all this. He feels as if it's all because of his weakness in the past, of his desire to stand out and be noticed by Tifa - who he also (by my previous speculations) lost in the Meteor/Holy incident.
Just my 2p :p
Sorry, but I'm lazy and don't want to read through seven pages of posts for the answer to this question if it's there.
Has anything been posted saying that the movie isn't a live action version of FFVII(the game itself)?
IMHO... How could it be Sephiroth when we saw him (SPOILER)explode at the end of the final battle?
Jason Isaacs plays Lucius Malfoy and Colonel Tavington. He plays great villains, but you haven't seen his range unless you see him in 'Passionada'.
Nobody said it was going to be live action. I was discussing potential English voice actors.
Jenova was a female though. But Jenova could be manipulating another soul.
Jenova had the ability to assume any physical form she pleased.
Not quite sure what you mean, but you asking if the movie is just a movie version of the actual game? If so... no. The movie is a sequel to FF7, two years after the game ends. Which means the scene at the end when you see RedXIII with kids has not happened yet.Quote:
