All the Metal gear solids!! *may contain spoilers*

Well it happened to me, all my freinds and I read of it happening in several magazines when I got my PS2.

All of those sources were Engish however so it may be different in different reigons.

well i'm in uk pal too so maybe that explains it.

Or it may only happen to big ps2's, just like the thing with the blue disks, which they fixed for the slimline, i own both fat and thin and it is right how they fixed it because i can play all my blue disks on the slimline, so it may be the same case for the thing happening to your metal gear if it happened to so many gamers. Did you use a slimline ps2 Kawaii?

I use a PAL PS2 and MGS works fine for me. The Special Missions disc, however, is completely useless.

well, i am totally clueless, it may only happen to certain ps2's. mmmmmm.......

John Doe isnt his real name, it is his pretend name he gives to para-medic, as a joke, she says she is called jane Doe, and he knows she is lying and says John Doe, as a joke, same with Ocelot

doesn't major tom (not telling his rel name yet) refer to big boss as john at the start of mgs3 when he is breifing him?

He based Snakes alias for MGS2, iroquis Pliskin, on a guy or band called Pliskin Snake. He also based Emmerick, on his favorite movie directors surname.

Snake HIMSELF was based on Snake Pliskin in Escape from New York, he was exactly like Snake's character, he also had an eye patch like Big Boss, there was a virus akin to Fox-Die involved, a Colonel just like Campbell, a Doctor just like Naomi. The story also involved rescuing the President, I believe, or maybe his daughter, I forget, it was a pretty goofy film.

Secondly, Otacon's surname is Emmerich, not Emmerick.
