Yah, that's pretty acurate right there. I bet dolphins will someday rule Atlantis and then start coming on land to destroy the human race, but we'll nuke them and the hippies saying "Don't kill the homicidal maniac dolphins!"Quote:

But I'm not going there:eep:
I like OWA, but I like The extreme better, was much more epic in my mind. But then again FF8 is my fave...:D
Final fantasy 9 is a great game. The storyline is good and it effect are cool. You cannot comlaint or do anything to hate it because everyone have its own favourite game so respect it eventhough it's not your favourite. Respect everyone and everyone respect you.
Hohohohohohohohohohohoh.........
If your light mage then I'll be black mage. I just like vivi and his magic (sadly he don't have Ultima:() (I never use guidebook to win any RPG game because it was fun to try on your own not by others helping)
FF IX is my fave(i've probably already said that in an earlier post), but yes the boss theme favoritism is all opinion, and I like FFIX the same way as how many others like a certain FF game. It brought me into the RPG genre and was my first FF game. I know this sounds redundant since everyone else is saying the same thing, but I just wanted to add what i had to say.
Ever heard of a game called Final Fantasy X-2? lolQuote:

Actually i have played all of them cept for Mystic Quest, the GB Legends, and the original FF3 that was only released in Japan. Other than that i have played them all and ive beaten 4-10 and Tactics.
Wow, I am totally tired of people putting down this game. My friends know what I'm talking about cause I yell in their faces if they say something. This is one of the most powerful games I've ever played. I love the world, the characters were completely developed, and I haden't cried in a game since Aeris died. And that makes it the first time I cried for a happy ending.
We didn't ask you to compare them. You're a winer, get over it.Quote:

The GB Legends doesn't really count because they are known as Saga in Japan. They just called it FF here in the states for recognitionQuote:

Initially he's freaked out, asking whats a guy in his late twenties, soon to start a teaching career doing watching charlie brown on DVD? I asked him if he ever saw this particular special, and his negative reply caused me to ask him to sit down, and watch as I finished watching it. his opinion was slightly dour until the key scene, where linus busts out Luke: 2: 8-15 to explain to charlie brown what was Xmas all about. After that scene, he was a speechless as the cast in the show, and when it was over was asking me if he could borrow the DVD afterwards. Which he did after watching Advent Children (and incidentally didnt ask about borrowing the AC DVD when he left).
Point of that anecdote is that it doesn't matter what you play or watch, its the quality of the storyline and plot (in tv shows and mostly in RPG's) that will win people over. If Kingdom hearts had a mature storyline (which, Im of the opinion that it did not) it would have been cool to let your friends see you playing it, no matter who starred in it.
As for Final Fantasy IX, I have to wonder what people are talking about when they accuse the story of being for the younger set. we got Vivi, who is all but a year or so old having to deal with slavery, the bleakness of an existence where he was created to kill, and also having to do with his rapidly expiring mortality. If that's not some thought provoking material I don't know what was. Also I would remind you that the script does involve the point that as a BABY Dagger's horn was cut off just so she would be presentable to the royal court. which the script alludes too would have been like cutting off a toe or finger. Sure the creatures and characters were all very fantastical, but to call the script itself juvenile due to the look of some of the character designs is rather shallow. Lighthearted and humorous at times, but never juvenile. Hell, even Zidane got all self destructive when he realized the true nature of his being created. Seeing the main character openly considering suicide like that I thought was a really interesting development considering his happy go lucky attitude and can-do spirit for most of the game.
Yah, FFIX is my fave FF for PS1. Its Amano's FF swansong (I love the guys character designs and am looking forward to seeing his mistwalker stuff) and it was Sakaguchi's only PS1 work. Some parts of the story irked me, I would have liked to see freya and her amnesiac ex work out some of their issues instead of having the ending cinema just show em together. Aramant I felt was slightly underused as well. But the rest of the cast were great and very deep and likeable, the romance with steiner and beatrix had me rolling and I thought they made a much better couple than either cloud and Tifa, or Squall and Rinoa. I dont mind odd couples, but there has to be a better reason for them to get together other than nice knockers (tifa/Rinoa)/big sword, ripped off and pimped out kaneda's bike (cloud) /wears mascera damn well (who do you think?).
FF IX was the least "mature" of VII,VIII,IX and X, and at first glance it would look like something on Nick Jr, It was a good game nonetheless and I liked it alot, but wasnt on par with VIII,VII and X just by the way I like my games to be.
Zidane was a pimp and I liked how he would repeatedly try to get at Dagger, which was a good change from the withdrawn nature of Squall and Cloud, I like withdrawn hard characters but to repeat this would get boring, they over did it with Tidus though. In terms of romance I would go VIII best ending in the history of FF, and it was very emotional too, you felt it, X Tidus was whack but even the miniscule sensitivity in me felt bad in the end, ruining the ending with X-2, I blame TSW because Square i heard needed to cash in fast to get the cash to stay afloat, IX and VII are tied, VII had a decent love triangle with Tifa and Aeris but it could ahve been done better, and IX just ended to quickly for me, I wanted a little more(Zidanes breakdown at the end should have lasted longer).
I bought KH for my little sister for her birthday and it was more fun watching her play then playing it myself, I would beat the hard bosses for her but it was more like a disney movie in my eyes, perfect for a girl her age. It had a good feel, and a battle system I wish FF would use becuase it would be awesome to control Cloud in real time, nice little game, i'll get her KH2 as well.
