races?
I think it's related to the crusaders, am I right?
It's not Crusaders. It's also nothing as tangible as a race, but it is related to a particular group of people, something associated with only that group of people.

It's not Fayth, pride, or Maesters. The group I'm looking for are not Al Bhed, Ronso, or Guado.
One Day
I think it's the sending, because it's something that describes summoners like the other lines describe other groups. And also it's invisible. the last line could also fit in but i'm not sure.
It's not one day or sending.
is it the people of DZ?
i think the badge may be their dress sense which is totally different from that of spira. there invisible cos they aren't actually real.
is it an item?
The Summoners? (Maybe you should consider giving another hint?)
The Sphere Grid?
It's not the people of DZ.
It's not an item.
Not the Summoners.
HintOne of the main party members is part of the group that is associated with this invisible badge.
Not the Sphere Grid.
Guardians? The summoner could be the badge, and its not really a badge but you can tell there guardians becasue they guard the summoner.
one party member?
it won't be blitzball cos thers 2 of em (tidua and wakka)
won't be a ronso cos it's already been said
not al bhed for same reason
not unsent
not a summoner either
that leaves lulu, is it a black mage? maybe the invisibility is that u can't actually see the magic untl it is used
Lulu spirtual magical dark magic thingys?
Anything to do with the Aurochs/Auroch's Spirit?
It's not Guardians.
It's not Black Mages.
It's not Black Magic either.
Yes/No.
The Aurochs belong to the group that is associated with the answer.
You're getting warmer.
Blitzball players?
it can't be blitzball players cos he sed "one of your paty members belongs to this group", and there are 2 blitzball players in your paty (wakka and tidus)
unless that was a mistype BG?
auroch reels?
Something to do with the crusaders?
The ability to hold your breath for long periods of time?
is it wakka, cause he is the captin of the Auroch
Is it the trophy
Invisble Shot?
is it pride? hope?
Invisible abilities underwater?
is it people whose families have been taken by Sin? wakka is one as sin killed chappu, and maybe the invisible badge is the sadness?
Is it like the pride of the aurochs or something like that?
Not the trophy.
Not the Invisible Shot. Excellent guess though.
Again, it's not pride. It's not hope either.
It's not underwater abilities.
It isn't, but Chappu also belongs to the group that has this badge.
For the third time, it's not pride. :greenie:

People in the farplane?
Wither Shot?
I don't think this is going to be solved anytime soon.
Jupiter Crest?
Crusaders?
Is it the Pride of the Aurochs?
Sorry man had to say it lol
The people from Besaid are indeed the group that has this distinctive badge, but that's not the answer. You're getting close now.
Not the tournement.
It's not a place.
No and no.
Nein.
Nyet.
Non.
Still no.
It's interesting how many guesses are getting recycled. For the fourth time, it's not pride!
Not of Aurochs, Lions, Tigers or Bears!
Oh my!
Wakka's Hair?
valefor? not sure it was said
It's not Wakka's hair.
She wasn't and she isn't.
Does it have to do with the brother hood
No, it's invisible.
His accent, broda?
The answer is the Besaid accent, ya? :D
Theoretically anyone can speak with a Besaid accent, but in practice nobody else does, except the few times Yuna playfully imitates Wakka.
Your turn, KazexLisa.
This should be easy.....
You can come to me twice
Once on accident
once on purpose
What am I?
you "can" come? so it's not necessary then?
is it yojimbo's fayth? it's easy to stumble into the sunken cave without much effort and find yojimbo, but u can return to the fayth for pressies n wot not
no, but I didn't think of that... but it is a place;)
Hint: Think about the line once is on accident
Ummm, Reimiam temple?
No but it is close
It's a temple I think....Um....Bevell Temple?
All the temples.
no to both
Hint: ONCE ON ACCIDENT, MEANING YOU DIDN'T WON'T TO GO THERE
Baaj Temple?
Dream Zanarkand
Cavern of the Fallen
Mjazi Is RIGHT...... It is Baaj Temple
Once on accident...... When you get sucked up by Sin
Once on purpose...... When go to get Anima
I really wish it took longer because I had some good clues coming up like..... It brings pain to those who See more
this points to the fact that Seymour's mother became Anima
GOOD Job MJazi
:D:D:D:D
Allright here's my riddle.
I have higher hp than the others,
I hide near the sea of sorrow.
Who am I?
king beamoth(?)
Or it could be Seymour Omnis, I suppose.
The Guardian?
I'll say Barbados, since he hides when doing Morter
A little off-topic, but Wakka is the only person in FFX with that accent. Even Chappu, I'm pretty sure, speaks somewhat normally. But no matter.
I'm assuming the first line refers to the strongest monster of a particular 'breed', and Wraith is the only monster that would fit the bill, as all others found in Sin have a Monster Arena equivalent.
Sain Cai is correct!
Barbatos has the highest hp of every fiend in the game(except magic urn) and he is a rare encounter only when you've beaten Seymour Omnis. You must got past the place you fought Seymour to encounter him, that explains the near the sea of sorrow part.
i find it hard to believe that barbatos has more hp than penance, the DA's, nemesis, or even all the monster arena creations, or the creetures in omega dungeon!? maybe he has the most HP of the creatures inside sin, is that wot u meant?
Barbatos has 95.000 hp. I meant that he has more hp than any other fiend that you encounter by walking around, except Magic urn.
Well I suppose I will try one:
Although I take on many different forms, I am only seen once.
Sometimes I hurt you, sometimes not
What am I?
I hope this riddle isnt misleading.
Spherimorph?
Seymour
no to both
hint?
It can be used in both times of peace and war.
I hope thats ok :)
aeon?
nope
is it a blitzball technique (sp:p)
final Aeon? sin?
Ec ed ceh mega dra uha pavuna drec uha cyet?
Not a technique, but close
Not an aeon
And I am not even going to translate it so dont even bother
not a taunt
death?
sin?
repost:
Although I take on many different forms, I am only seen once.

What am I?
hints:
- it is a what
- it can be used in times of peace and war
guesses so far:
- spherimorph
- seymour
- aeon
- blitzball technique <-- no but close
- taunts
i'm still stumped!?
Zanarkand Abes
no to all
I am drunk now so tomorrow I will give another clue
Tidus' final overdrive attack?
or Wakkas?
It does have something to do with wakka
Does it have anything to do with Chappu?
is it a blitzball?
yes, I thought the main name was official ball, but that is just his starting ball
You might as well take it. If somebody had guessed "Official ball" before Sain Cai said it was correct, there would be an issue, but you were the closest.
yes the answer was a blitzball. I was looking for the name of the one that wakka starts with (since that is the type that is used in tournaments) but seeing how there are like 15 different attributes & names for that specific blitzball, there isnt a set name. well enuff of my rambling, Timster was correct.
Alright!
By myself I can never win,
even with attacks,
that would cripple even the best.
I am only one,
and many more will come to avenge me...
The first Sinspawn, that uses only Demi?
And I refuse to make another riddle :p
ill take sain cais if he is right
summoners or the aeons who faught sin
ah dammit i didnt wanna have to do one, ill have one up shortly however
got it
in Via Purifico
loving to swim
afraid of a storm
with the hue of a ronso
Rikku?
the sahagins u encounter in via purifico with tidus wakka n rikku. they are swimming and have a blue(-ish) colour about them
no to both
Maelspike?
or... Evrae
nope
Aqua Flans?
They're blue and weak against lightning.
EDIT: Oh the swimming thing might be a reference to aqua (water).
I'm pretty sure you've got it, BG.
aqua flans indeed, good job BG
Six answers, in pairs of two:
Ed lyh pa pek un meddma
Dra sylrehano pareht dra vyla
Fynneun syetahc uv makaht
Sigfried's vmysa fyc uha
Vannuic mespc ypuiht
Yinel mespc yc famm
It can be big or little - Flans? They change size all the time...
The machinery behind the face - No idea unless you're on about Bahamut's Cloister of Trials in Bevelle which was laden with forbidden Machina despite it being the capital of Yevon and everything.
Warrior maidens of legend - Amazons?
Siegfreid's flame was one - Some kinda dragon's breath... so Bahamut's Mega Flare perhaps?
Ferrous limbs abound
Auric limbs as well
Well ferrous means Iron, so metallic, and Auric meaning Gold (this explains why they're Fe and Au, respectively, on the periodic table) so these are probably types of machina.
limbs abound? maybe something to do with anima as her arms are tied up constantly?
i'm gonna guess that the maidens of legend are summoners too?
just saying stuff, no real answer here
So far no one is right, although Psi is getting close with the last two lines.
HintAs in all my riddles of this sort, the language is itself a clue.
I randomlly guess Yunalisca
Not Yunalesca.
Could it be the weapon that Chappu used in place of the Brotherhood?
Or how about, Yuna's mother?
Is it some sort of machina?
Repost:
It can be big or little
The machinery behind the face
Warrior maidens of legend
Siegfreid's flame was one
Ferrous limbs abound
Auric limbs as well
There are six answers, and are related to Al Bhed in some way.
My guess is Rikku's weapons. That would explain the riddle being in Al Bhed.
It can be big or little - Rikku's weapons range in size from the Claw to Godhand, which covers most of her arm.
The Machinery behind the face - Not sure about this.
The second set most likely refers to Brunhild, with whom Siegfried was infatuated with, his 'flame' if you will. She was also a Valkyrie (Warrior maidens of legend) . 'Brunhilde' is also a weapon for Rikku with four Magic +...% abilities.
Ferrous limbs - Rikku has weapons called Iron Claw (3 Strength +...%), Ironside (Overdrive -> AP), and Iron Grip (Capture).
Auric limbs - Rikku's weapon with Triple AP, Golden Arm.
Then the machinery behind the face is Clockwork. You are of the win, I think.
Oo...so close.
Five of the six are correct:
It can be big or little
The machinery behind the face (Clockwork)
Warrior maidens of legend (Valkyrie)
Siegfreid's flame was one (Brunhilde)
Ferrous limbs abound (Iron Claw)
Auric limbs as well (Golden Arm)
HintThe pairing of lines is significant.
Valkyrie and Brunhilde - magic increasing weapons,
Golden Arm and Iron Claw - I don't see how these are related, unless you mean Ironside, in which case they are both AP-increasing weapons,
Clockwork is Slowstrike, so the other weapon also inflicts a status effect? In which case, it would be Colossus.
could big/small be veritable
I'm so stupid!
Big or little is "Clock hand", which I looked at and completely ignored because of the machinery behind the face!
So is there some kind of answer beneath these other answers? Like a female clock robot with metal and golden arms?
They're all Rikku's weapons, so I guess that would be the answer. Much like the "Cloud's swords" riddle in the FFVII Riddles.
Correct, the last weapon is Clock Hand.
There's no overall theme other than being Rikku's weapons, but each pair has related names.
Psi, your go.
Oh. Okay...
Halfway along its journey it was in a class of its own
Now it's been bleached and dispersed
Except for one that's darkened over the ages
A few can be seen, but never had
Many paths must be travelled to get the rest
Celestial Weapons?
Nope.
Hint?
Aeons?
The spheregrid abilities to learn?
My guess is Time Magic
Halfway along its journey it was in a class of its own - In FFV, Time Magic had its own class.
Now it's been bleached and dispersed - Some were put in White Magic (Haste, Slow, Regen, Reflect), and some in Black Magic (Demi). Also, 'bleached' could be Demi only doing 1/4 HP damage in FFX, not 1/2.
Except for one that's darkened over the ages - Not sure
A few can be seen, but never had - Some time magic is only used by opponents, like Quarter (now called Gravija) and Mute (Silence).
Many paths must be travelled to get the rest - You have to go all over the Sphere Grid to get the spells; Haste and Slow are in Tidus' grid, Regen and Reflect in Yuna's grid, Demi in Lulu's, etc.
Bloody hell! That was sudden!
Lemme patch up the holes you left, good sir!
Halfway along its journey it was in a class of its own
Indeed, FFV had Time Magic as its own class. And 5 is halfway to 10.
Now it's been bleached and dispersed
All the Time Magic you can have is White Magic, on two different Sphere Grid paths; namely the defaults of Tidus (Haste, Slow, Slowga, Hastega) and Yuna (Regen).
Except for one that's darkened over the ages
Demi's Black instead of White (and on Lulu's default path). Or grey, as it appeared in FFV.
A few can be seen, but never had
Meteor and Gravija.
Many paths must be travelled to get the rest
You gotta go down three different characters' default paths to get all those which are actually available to you.
Incidentally, Reflect isn't actually a Time spell and to my knowledge never has been. However, FFV did have that variation on Silence that muted everyone, enemies and allies.
Nevertheless Meister Firo, it's your go; frankly I thought you deserved my go but I couldn't resist this riddle. Sorry dude... anyways, give us your best shot!
(Anyone who knows me well enough would have guessed this in seconds; most of my friends know how much I love Time Magic.)
Reflect is actually a Time Magic spell in FFXII and both Tactics games. But that doesn't matter now. This riddle I've put a lot of effort into, and is very hard - so don't get disocuraged!
Unique tool of death takes two steps;
Take Olympic blade from sportsman's hand,
Masamune, mercury, and shotgun come later and younger.
Lover of these two mourns stolen treasure,
Stolen treasure wields stolen power,
Which strikes at aid of scaly beast.
Such beast fears the gastro prison,
Near hope of human spirit,
Hope that rests on two things only,
Which is bigger?
Note: The answer is in two parts. The first links to the first paragraph, the second to the second paragraph. The answers are not related.
I dont think I am even gonna try to touch this one. I just spent 3 minutes looking at it and I have a headache
Is the Olympic Blade the Fencing Saber?
I'm also guessing the Scaly Beast is Sahagin. One get eaten by Geosgaeno, which has a visible cage-like stomach (Gastro Prison).
I have a funny feeling the second passage is Anima, with all the mourning of stolen treasure referring to the activation of destruction spheres, and how the gastro prison, which according to BG is Geosagno, has to be fought first.
Does the first one have anything to do with Auron's celestial weapon, the rusty blade or something like that?
Well done on the Olympic blade, I thought nobody would get that.
You can also forget lines four to six, you've rendered them completely unnecessary.
Half-right reasoning, right conclusion. The answer is not Anima, though.
It may do. However, Auron's sword is not the only Masamune in existence.
Ah, nobody wants to take a guess? I'm even simplify the riddle:
Unique tool of death takes two steps;
Take Olympic blade from sportsman's hand,
Masamune, mercury, and shotgun come later and younger.
The original was far too convoluted.
just taking bits form all over here. you say he had the right conclusion in that u had to fight geosgeno before u cud get it. is it onion knight by any chance?
also wondering whether the other masamune ur talking about could be braska's final aeon's sword?
What was the answer to the second riddle?
Unique tool of death takes two steps;
Take Olympic blade from sportsman's hand,
Masamune, mercury, and shotgun come later and younger.
repost
are the masamune and mercury referring to the sword and the crest/sigil?
I might as well give a hint at this point; neither masamune nor mercury refer to their FFX counterparts.
Is 'later and younger' a reference to FFX-2?
Doesn't one of YRP wield Auron's sword in one of their dresspheres?
yes rikkus dark knight dressphere uses the masamune, and in ffx the mercury crest/sigil is in terms of rikku. are we getting ther firo?
Some more hints for the last line:
Masamune is to do with another game made by Squaresoft. (as in before it became Squenix.)
Mercury is to do with chemistry.
Shotgun is to do with what kind of people use a shotgun.
'Later but younger' refers to at a later period of the game (compared to the second line), but with a younger person.
Also, BG was on the right track before with the second line.
The Customise menu? It comes up when Rikku joins the party, and she appears relatively late, as well as being the apparent youngest of the cast. It sounds like you're referring to weapons that can be made by means of customisation... hrmm.
Could "Mercury" be "Liquid Steel"? I know they're both different metals but mercury's a metal that
Shotgun might mean "Hunter's Sword", unless there's a hidden "Passenger Seat" armour I've not heard of.
Wait, I think I got it: Brotherhood. Liquid Steel and Hunter's Sword have Waterstrike and Sensor respectively, both of which that weapon automatically gains upon meeting Rikku. It's also a unique weapon, a unique tool of death.
I've completely missed out everything to do with Masamune, which only tells me I'm bang wrong and talking a load of twaddle.
Sorry, but you're wrong (SPOILER)about talking a load of twaddle. Correct.
Unique tool of death - one in the game, is a sword (AKA tool of death)
Takes two steps; - two events to get Brotherhood fully powered
Take Olympic blade from sportsman's hand - you obtain the sword itself from Wakka (a sportsman); at this point it only has Strength +5% on it, making it the equivalent of a Fencing Saber
Masamune - Strength +10%, when you customise this onto a sword it becomes Soldier's Sword, which could be used as a description of FF7 Masamune
Mercury - Waterstrike, found on the sword Liquid Steel. Mercury is a metal that is in a liquid state at room temperature.
Shotgun - Used for hunting. Hunter's Sword is produced by Sensor.
Later and younger - These abilities are added to the sword later, not after meeting Rikku, but after the scene in the Farplane when Wakka talks to Chappu (his younger brother).
Your go Psi.
Specially cheapened to a Herculean cost
Though weaker, the purpose remains the same
May lead some to believe it was all but lost
Yet Kimahri remembers its former name
Alright, technically there's two answers to this, both of which are linked: the first three lines lead to one answer, the last line leads to the other. Once you get one answer, the other one will most likely flash into your head right away.
is it omega/ultima weapons?
Nope, not them.
i want to say it has somethng to do with reducing o'aka's prices at mushroom rock (you can reduce them but they are still ridiculously high)
can't think of how any of his product solve the rest of the riddle. am i on the right lines psi or do u wanna just go and dash my hopes :D
Sorry, your hopes are hereby dashed.
son of a . . . :(
fancy fropping a hint? i think everyone's given up on answering cos they didnt get the answer rite away :D
yeah i think a hint is in order ...
Look carefully at the first line: "Herculean" refers to a specific number, and the word "specially" was selected for a reason.
So twelve as in the twelve tasks of Hercules?
is it ronso rage/ blue magic?
Am I correct in assuming the first line refers to Threaten? That is a "Special" skill that costs 12 mp. Just a thought on that that if correct can help others
Would it be Pray/White Wind?
Specially cheapened to a Herculean cost - Pray is a special ability, costs no MP.
Though weaker, the purpose remains the same - The same as White Wind, but not as potent.
May lead some to believe it was all but lost - Maybe some people thought White Wind wouldn't be in this game?
Yet Kimahri remembers its former name - White Wind is only usable by Kimahri as a Blue Magic skill.
Doesn't Kimahri have 12 Ronso Rage's? That could be the Herculean part... My best bet is Nova.
Yes, Sain Cai , the first part is about Threaten.
So one final hint: While I say the answers are linked, the second one isn't even in the game, even though Kimahri knows about it...
Would the second part be Stop? I should have guessed you would reference Time Magic somewhere...
Oh, no duh. Threaten has the same effect as Stop. ...right? Well, when you use Threaten, the enemy looks like they've been Stopped. ...right?
Yes Firo, it's Stop. Kimahri does shout "Stop!" when he uses it after all.
So it's either you or Sain, whomever gets to post their riddle first I guess.
I can't think of a riddle right now, Sain can have it.
I havent been online lately, and probably wont for a lil while, someone is more then welcome to create one.
I'll create one, hope it's tricky ;)
We come from the place of fire and water
A group of beasts to beat every other
The prices are many, and the competition is hard
So train well and often and be on your guard
Chimaeras?
Nope.
The Kilika Beasts!
Yes! The Kilika Beasts - I'm amazed that you managed to find the answer so quickly!
I really need to work on my riddles...
I can't make a riddle, (>_<) so anyone can have my go.
ok I'll give it a try ^^
when it smacks I grab the ground
he he he I'm speechless
so can we rest please? pretty please.
is it rikkus reactions in thunder plains?
wen the lightning strikes she hits the deck
and doesnt say much of anything
then says "can we rest pretty please" wen u reach the inn
yup!
I though it's an easy one
your turn ^^
with 2 possible futures
yet living in the past
dream or reality
of civilisations past
Zanarkand?
It exists in two locations at the same time; the real one in ruins and Dream Zanarkand (SPOILER)fueled by the collective dreaming of the Fayth. The two are often considered one and the same, although they're not.
nope not that obvious. wow BG it took the whole of 12 mins 20 secs for you to respond :D
i'll drop hints after more guess
Is that a new record? :p
Is it Maechen?
He knows a lot of the history of Spira, and if you play FFX-2 you learn (SPOILER)he's even an unsent that once met Lenne 1000 years earlier.
Tidus seems the obvious option here.
Tidus I would say
none right so far
hint: it's an event in the game
when seymour shows zanarkand in his house?
correct!
with 2 possible futures --> whether yuna chooses to marry seymour or not (btw i am aware that at this point seymour hasn't actually asked yuna to marry him yet but he might as well have done:D)
yet living in the past --> seeing vision of 1000 years ago
dream or reality --> it seems so real yet evidently they aren't there
of civilisations past --> it zanarkand, duh!?
wow timster, ff7 and ffx riddles are urs, ur on a roll!!!
yeah i know it just hit me all at once but i've been away for a while so i've decided for a major comeback...
The riddle:
With several shapes, colors and sizes,
I'm sure to surprise you,
and from the ancient greeks,
you may notice a resemblance.
Beware,
for even though I may seem weak,
I'm sure to give you hell,
and much, much more...
Hmm, sounds like a class of fiend:
Is it Elementals? The Greeks had four elements, and this game has most of the same varieties.
Flans if not what BG said.
