It's still retarded they haven't even released a price yet -_-; Sony makes a habit of underpricing some of its stuff to sell more then makes up for it in other areas. They can afford this easy cuz it's such a big company

I'd say the max price would be £500. Though I doubt that, it'll probably be the usual £300.
It will be a lot more than 300 pound, mark my words. Its the PS3! Predicted to be 10xs better than Xbox 360 and Revolution, so Im guessing its going to be about 450 - 550 pounds.
No and no.Quote:

But Sony have classically sold their consoles at a loss. Meaning that it costs them more to actually make the console than they sell it for.
The idea is that they get that money back selling licensing to developers.
Sony did this with the PS1 and PS2 and SCEI is one of the two highest earning deivisions of the Sony corporation.
It will be priced competitivly.
$550-$600:tonberry: I'll get it no matter what *smiles* the more it costs, the more chances I have of getting one:D
y?
Honestly they are at a loss at 500 dollars.
It doesn't matter, since they'll take whatever loss they need to in order to price the PS3 competitively. They will take a $300+ hit per unit sold.
If it means selling more and making a lot of money back from licensing fees for all the games released on the console, Sony will most certainly take the initial loss.
Just about every game console manufacturer takes a loss initially when releasing a console.
Not Nintendo.....Quote:
