No, since NL and Ladder use the same servers, the characters are not deleted, and everyone who hasn't already been banned are allowed to come back and create new characters, no, this isn't a server wipe. It's a reset.

I wish they would put up the reset schedule...
Where is my damn reset?
No kidding...
I just logged on to see if the reset had happened, but no such luck. I sifted through some channels to amusing results. Channel 44 says it will happen in 10 hours. Channel 12 says it will happen in 20 minutes. The channel I'm normally in, 9, says it won't happen at all, which made many folks go "OMFG WUT WUT?!"
So, as you can see, B.netters are being their typical selves. I guess all we can do is sit around and wait :jess:
Stupid noncommittal Blizzard
I've been checking out the "official" announcement page, but nothing's been posted yet.
Battle.net Status
I'll be online when I can. I plan on making a bunch of Ladder-only runewords and using them.
Oh, there's something I wanted to ask, and it has nothing to do with the Ladder so it will seem out of nowhere now, but whatever.
What gloves do you guys use on physical attackers when you don't have a pair with a set or anything? Amazons generally have rare gloves that are good for them, but I can't ever think of what to put on something like a Fury Druid or Martial Sin. The Magnus gloves? :O_O:
Magnus, Lavagout, anything with IAS. Sometimes IK Gloves with boots or belt for the synergy bonus (IAS).
Crafted Hit Power gloves for Amazons are by far the best, seeing as the following mods can be had on such gloves:
Knockback
20 IAS
+15 Dex and/Strength
LL and ML
+Life
+% AR
25% MF
Res
+2 Passive/B&C
For any of the melee characters, listen to Tavrobel. For such characters, IAS is king, followed by secondary modifiers such as ML, LL, Res, life, etc...
Some other useful gloves include:
Dracul's Grasp
The real beauty behind these gloves is that it has a relatively large chance to cast Life Tap (which grants the attacker 50% of the damage done to the opponent as life. This curse will also make ANY monster in the game leech-able - even Undead and the like). For Zealers, Smiters, Fury Druids, etc... these gloves are a godsend (if they can afford missing 20IAS).
The chance of Open Wounds is also nice, along with the +15 Strength and +10 Life per kill.
Expensive as smurf though.
Laying of Hands
Boasting a large Fire Res and a 20%IAS modifier is one thing, but the fact that these gloves grant 350% damage to Demons is what truly makes these gloves powerful. Combined with Chains of Honour, one would be doing 550% damage to Demons. All the Bosses in the game are Demons. Yes, these gloves are sex.
These gloves are really not that difficult to simply find, much less trade for.
Clegclaw's Pincers
The reason I mention these is because they house Knockback and Slows Target by 25%. Although other glove most definitely outshine this pair, these are cheap and have a very low level requirement - all for the price of two very lovely mods.
Trang-Oul's Claws
If using an Assassin that use Venom, use these to pre-buff your Venom skill by 25%. All the other mods are basically crap for melee-type characters.
Bloodfist Heavy Gloves
10% IAS and 30% FHR and +40 Life are rather nice to see on gloves that only have a Lvl requirement of 9.
But truly, the best gloves are the incredibly sexy Rare and Crafted gloves. There is a reason we call them godly items.
Goddamn! Those crafted gloves are lookin' sexy. I really should craft more.
I agree that the IK Boots, Gloves, and Belt together form a wonderful trio of natural and green bonuses, but 110 STR is too much for me lately. Well, not with some builds, but with others. Martial Sins especially I just wouldn't want to get that much. More than that, there are just other boots and belts I want. I mean 110 isn't that much if you charm yourself, especially wearing two Bartuc's to give +40 str you would have it anyway, but...other belts ;-; There's something about t hose three together that is still hella sexy, though. That's normally what I do end up using...
I gotta tell ya, I don't like Dracul's Grasp for some reason. I really just...don't. I know I should be in love with it for the Life Tap, but for some reason it doesn't float my boat very much.
I forgot all about Laying of Hands...Mm those would be nice for a lot of areas in the game, especially Act IV...
War Heads ftw.
I didn't want to do anything today but Diablo dammit... I planned a day of nothing for you! Shades...
Where is my reset?
:(
Dracul's is an acquired taste. It's one of the most pro items, and goes by a very high HR price on the soon to be late Ladder. When used in dueling, even more so, but there are so many other simpler mods that give a direct bonus without micromanagement. To balance out the lack of IAS on Dracul's, Smiters (especially Smiters) make up for it by using any combination or all of the following Auras: Defiance (defense), Fanatcism (IAS, damage), and Concentration (damage), as well as boasting the ever so awesome Holy Shield (damage and defense) ability.
As far as Trang Oul's Gloves go, they are definitely useful toward Rabies Druids, as well as Spellcasters who can't find/use Magefists. Depending on the item used, Strength to meet IK requirements is hardly ever a problem, unless you used a Phase Blade, where, in which case, your Dexterity must be 116 or higher, assuming you even have a Ravenfrost. I agree that it is implausible for most characters, but possible. Spellcasters, however, don't have the Vit to spare, and rely on Enigma.
