Why do I always get this message when I try to put a custom avatar.

"The uploaded file is not a valid GIF, JPG, or PNG file. Please ensure that it is and try again."

I even get it when i try and put the one I already have back in.

Are you actually being prevented from putting in the custom avatar? If so, you should probably ask this as a thread on it's own in the Help Forum and not just this thread.
