He existed in the past???
is it that machine that you fight after u get out of the underground in midgar.....just b4 u fight hojo.
if memory serves its yellow and palmer and scarlet call it a weapon.
"He existed in the past" is not the correct answer. Nor does "topaz" refer to Proud Clod (the machine you fight in Midgar before fighting Hojo).
The answer is a specific event, btw. Uhh, I'll re-post.
***
The ultimate leaves a sword and a gap
Sapphire makes a sacrifice for the mission
Diamond resorts to power, but falls
Emerald and ruby are the last to go
So what ever happened to topaz?
***
Again, the first four lines are in chronological order. And the answer lies between lines 1 and 2, chronologically.
Is it the death of Pheonix at Fort Condor, along with the hatching of the baby Pheonix from the large yellow egg?
Nope. I take it you think I've gone nuts (or am ignoring the facts) with my chronology hint?
Is it when all the weapons were coming out of the Crater? I remember counting more weapons then what was seen in the rest of the game.
(ok, this snowing cookies are getting a little annoying. My typing in all jerky because of it. Seee! Typing errorrs !)
(It does make me hungry, though...)
...*mmff*...*coffeecake*...
What? No, that's not it. Another hint: line 4 is always true, no matter what.
I don't, and I'm not. I just don't understand why you would reverse the order of events, unless somehow the events aren't referring to the fates of the Weapons.
At any rate, although incorrect, the hatching of Pheonix does happen between those two events, assuming they are the events I thought they were.
You last hint, if anything, is confusing me more. Are you suggesting that Ruby and Emerald are the last Weapons you can defeat (which is true, although obvious), or that they always have to die (which wouldn't normally be true, since they are optional), or that every version of the game features them (also not true in the conventional sense)?
Oh...I was saying I took it you thought I was ignoring the facts. I wasn't saying you were ignoring them.
ignore the last hint, and just go with the assumption that the first four lines are absolutely in chronological order, with no switching around. The idea was that you'd think:
"If the first four lines are in chronological order, but they're not in the same order as the WEAPON deaths, then.."
There is only one conclusion, which you did mention.
When you can fight them?
No, we're talking about the specific events that are listed in the riddle. I'm saying each of those events happens in the order I've listed them. BG noted that that's not the order the weapons died in. I agree, that's not the order the weapons die in. Which means the specific events I'm referring to in the riddle...
Well, I've said everything there is that I know of concerning the Weapons and any chronological order pertaining to them. Already knew it wasn't their deaths, and apparently it isn't when they go on the offensive, what order they appear in when they come out of the crater, or the order of when you can fight them, or what order they attack in the game. So mark me confuzzled.
Am I right in saying it is a bloody metaphor and bears little relationship to the actual WEAPONs?
I think they are metaphors for Shinra operatives.
Scarlet and Heidegger are the last two to fall...duh. Emerald and Ruby.
The ultimate might be the President. He leaves a sword. And he was the "ultimate" shinra.
Sapphire must be a Turk or else Cait Siths controller (name will return ina sec).
Yellow must be Palmer! Topaz is therefore hit by a truck.
No where did he say it had nothing to do with the weapons.
and his name is Reeve.
Not every riddle is entirely literal, especially with the best riddlers. Read between the lines. And I think it fits.
It comes to mind that if the WEAPONs fates are not the answer, the use of their names must be metaphorical, and the Shinras mentioned do have some similarity to the gems, which is mentioned by yer man.
Well yeah, I got that. And I do think you're right. but he said somewhere that the event and answer had to do with lines 1 + 2. Then he said events. So now I have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for.
(in any case, following your answer, I think Sapphire may be Tseng, or however you spell it.)
Well, I always said I was a hopeless literalist, right LN? :p
Along these lines, Diamond could be either Hojo or Rufus. Both wear white and are bidding for power.
Your spelling of Tseng is correct, Dragon Mage.
Yay! I feel so happy now!Quote:
Your spelling of Tseng is correct, Dragon Mage.
Now all we need i musenji to come on and confirm. He was just on a minute ago but now he isn't. Great. Now we'll have to wait until tomorrow to se if Lost Number was correct.
I do refer to events. I mention the gem (Shinra operative) and what happens to them, therefore making an EVENT.
Sapphire is Tseng, and I think Diamond must be Rufus, as Hojo has rather left Shinra. And Palmer wears yellow/beige. And I LOVE it when i leave the thread up in arms at me.
No offence, BG! Thou art a master of what I prefer to call the "literalist" method of riddling.
Wow, all of a sudden. Yes, it's all a bloody metaphor, and every name represents a Shinra executive. Yes, topaz (palmer) was hit by a truck.
Ultimate was the president. The sword is obvious enough, the gap was the gap left in the Shinra organization.
Sapphire was Reeve, who gave up Cait Sith to help the heroes complete their mission.
Diamond was Rufus, who said that he would control the people with power as opposed to manipulation--and went down shortly after firing the Sister Ray at Diamond Weapon.
Ruby and Emerald were Scarlet and Heidegger, respectively. They died last. (Now you know why I said line 4 was always true--they always die last. I believe you can theoretically kill Ultimate after one of these two.)
Congrats, LN.
Does the rouge of tails know the jack of trades?
Thou knows me and the looter who holds me.
My old master gone, yet not entirely forgotten
Two in this world still seek him
They ask in vain, he met his end on a hill.
I carry on his fight, with one quarter power.
Its easy, but try it.
is it cloud or zack
if not who are we looking for
Neither, and not yet.
...Is it Reno?
here's wot ive got so far, can u correct me if i'm wrong LN!?
Does the rouge of tails know the jack of trades? --> i think the jack of trades may be cloud, as he refers to himself as a "jack of all trades" in the church. dunno wot that rouge is tho? maybe scarlet?
Thou knows me and the looter who holds me. --> i think this may be referring to when tseng kidnapped aerith
My old master gone, yet not entirely forgotten --> dunno
Two in this world still seek him
They ask in vain, he met his end on a hill.
I carry on his fight, with one quarter power. --> i think these last 3 lines are pretty self explanatory :D still dunno wot it is tho!?
Not Reno.
Cloud is the Jack of trades.
Its not.
The last 3 lines are literal.
The Buster Sword?
Yes
Does the rouge of tails know the jack of trades? A reference to FFIX, where the Buster Sword appears in an armour shop, and Zidane thinks he recognises it.
Thou knows me and the looter who holds me. Cloud is a looter, he took it from Zack.
My old master gone, yet not entirely forgotten Zack is dead, but people remember him
Two in this world still seek him His parents
They ask in vain, he met his end on a hill. He is dead
I carry on his fight, with one quarter power. 2 slots, one quarter of the maximum.
I should ask not of the past
But instead will look to the future
Though I may be down here
I have been asked to join them at the top
A challenge I propose
Come prepared, or we shall win
None taken. :) I do get a fair share of riddles correct, but yours tend to stump me.
A buried anagram! That's more my speed. :D
OIETEJOH -> JOE TEIOH
Joe is a chocobo jockey and Teioh is his chocobo. He tends to be an opponent in higher class races, and Teioh always has better stats than whatever chocobo you are using (in fact Teioh's stats seem to be calculated based on your chocobo's). He's always the toughest opponent, but he's beatable with a well trained chocobo with high enough stats. He just doesn't push Teioh hard enough.
Now for the lines itself:
The past could refer to previous chocobo races and future could refer to the next chocobo race.
Cloud and co. meet Joe as they enter the races to escape from the surface prison. His chocobo joins at the starting line. The challenge is to beat him. Being prepared refers to the chocobo you need to race with. Grooming one takes time and effort.
Are you asking for the name of a person?
BG's got it straight away :)
Teioh's stats are +15 km/h and +250 stamina of whatever your chocobo has, giving him a maximum of 191 km/h and 1249 stamina, in case you were wondering.
Your turn.
(Deletes post and replaces it with this)
The writing is on the wall
The beginning of a new era
The color backing these bold words
Matches the given name
More than the namesake itself
BTW, thanks Endless. I actually did want to know, but I'm too lazy to work out the algorithm. :)
*sigh* I hate it when people get my riddles without doing any working out or thinking at all. It pains me.
Are we looking for the namesake, or the object named, BG? Not that i'm likely to get either, but still.
I'm looking for the name and color, along with their relationship. So three things, really.
HintYou could most likely get the color by simple elimination.
Red XIII? It's a name and a color.
The color is red, but it's not referring to RedXIII.
Is it the signs near the Junon Cannon during the parade that say 'Rufus', then something along the lines of 'A New Age'?
The writing is on the wall
The beginning of a new era - The sign is on a wall, and its there to show the start of Rufus' reign
The colour backing these bold words - While the words are white, their backing is red
Matches the given name
More than the namesake itself - Red would be a good colour for Rufus, as it signifies his bloodiness and ruthlesness.
And Rufus is latin for red.
im going to agree and say Rufus and red but i've only signed back in today in like forever so from now on i'm going to try my best.......which isnt very good
You got it!
The banners in Junon read: Rufus/New Age/President of Shinra. The banner is red, and Rufus refers to someone with red hair. But the banner is a lot redder than Rufus' hair is.
I'll give this one to Enjolras282, although Lost Number correctly identified lines 4-5.
Okay, here goes...
Contained within the bowels of a haze in the north
An altered edition of an exploit most virulent
The user, a grand given upon glorious defeat
The rider, an appendage of knowledge does he seek
It's probably easy, i'm kinda hopeless at writing these.
Northern cave
sephiroth.
that's all I got for now.
It's a person we're looking for right?
No, not Sephi, sorry.
Although reasoning isn't essential, it will help me give hints, which I will begin giving out shortly.
sorry here's my reasoning:
Bowels and north just bespeaks Norther Cave to me. Cave=bowels of earth
sephiroth is an altered 'form' of Jenova
Haha I wasn't telling you off Dragon Mage, you don't need to say sorry or anything.
Since you gave reasoning, I'll tell you that when I say 'contained within the bowels of', I'm just meaning 'found inside', don't take the specific meaning of any of those words too seriously.
Sounds to me like Jenova BIRTH in the boat. Sephiroth seeks her arm. And virulent makes me think "virus" which Jenova is an altered form of.
No, nothing to do with Ruby Weapon or Jenova Birth sorry.
OK, I see a couple of possible enemies it could be.
The Magic Pot, Dragon Rider or Marlboro.
Well, you're on the right track, and extremely close with one of those answers. If you don't get it soon, i'll tell you which one you're close with.
Hmm, all of those are connected to giving a "grand" when beaten. It usually refers to money, though. And the Dragon Rider obviously has a rider. I think the "altered edition of an exploit most virulent" definitly conjures Marlboro, though. And Magic Pot gives the 1000AP and is found in the North Crater. Damn ye man, its been 7 hours, do I get a hint yet?
When I say a 'grand', I mean exp.
then i'll take a stab at magic pot, due to the 1,000 AP you gain for defeating it
...No. I said exp, not AP.
I'll guess Mover then. They "only" give 800 exp each, but they come in groups of three, making the exp gain 2 400.
I also guess Ice Golem, because it also gives 1000exp. As do pallensalta and 8 eye. And Rilfsak. And the upper half of Scissors. And Soldier 2nd class. And Stilva. Any of these?
No, none of those sorry. I'm looking for a certain action by a certain monster.
Is it Pandora's Box, the final action of a defeated Dragon Zombie?
No, sorry.
you were wrong.Quote:

the monster ur thinking of is called, quite simply, dragon rider . . .
. . . weren't expecting that were you!? :D
while we're on the subject, what's with those 2 enemies that show up together, is it christopher and then some kinda horse!?
Well, I did say before that the answer was a certain action by a monster, not the monster itself...but the monster in question is Dragon Rider, so the person who thinks of the right attack and posts next gets it, I suppose.
Dual Attack, Head Hunting, Rider Breath.
I'm betting on Rider Breath, naturally.
It's not Rider Breath.
Think about lines 2 and 4.
har har. You never know what these monsters are called so....whatever. Heck I thought that a mechanical egg would be called an 'Egg' or 'Evil Egg' if you want to get fancy. But no, it's got some name thats an inch long and I can't remember for the life of me.Quote:
the monster ur thinking of is called, quite simply, dragon rider . . .

Head Hunting (appendage of knowledge).
And if you press select, i think, in the PS version, you can see what enemies are called.
Is it facination? The confusion like attack used by Pollensalta?
Lost Number's got it, I was looking for either Head Hunting or Head Hunting 2.
Your go, LN.
*skip go*
*grabs* (LN, you do not collect $200)
The horsemen come

Different types of summon materia?
No.
Knights of the Round.
The horsemen come - Knights
Shattering all - One kick ass summon
Beautiful, winged and deadly - Looks cool
Solid rim _ No idea
Glass fatality - Ditto
Usurp
Blessed water - ???
sephiroth's
Balrog's hoard - They look a bit evil
Much to Ruth's horror - Someone explain this
The surgeon's familiar sight
The war begins as the world ends
Odin’s knowledge
Nothing's better - Its strong
Nope. Has nothing to do with materia. and thanks for reasoning.
I will hazard a guess at limit breaks?
The horsemen come - Slots sometimes summons KotR
Beautiful, winged and deadly - Chaos
Blessed water - Great Gospel?
Odin’s knowledge - Finishing Touch has the same effect as Steel Bladed Sword
Nothing's better - Omnislash
That's all I've got.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The name Ruth can refer to:
* The Book of Ruth, one of the books of the Hebrew Bible.
* Ruth, an archangel appearing in the Marvel Comics Ghost Rider series.
* Baby Ruth, a candy bar.
* Babe Ruth, nickname of the famed baseball player George Herman Ruth.
* Ruth, a novel by Elizabeth Gaskell.
* A name meaning friend or compassion.
* Citizen Ruth is a 1996 motion picture about the abortion issue in US.
* Ruth is a dragon in Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern novels.
* Ruth Simmons, 18th President of Brown University, is affectionately referred to as "Ruth" by many students.
* Ruth is a band out of Vancouver, Washington.
The one that seems most likely is:
* A name meaning friend or compassion.
But of course, it could refer to something entirely different. I'm not up to analyzing the whole riddle right now, I just wanted to post that because it's a very interesting line :)
TSBSGUBsBMTTON
Is this an anagram? I doubt it. But the arrangement of lines is strange.
Cloud's Swords?
There are 16 swords, and 14 lines. I can match most of them pretty well:
The horsemen come Apocalypse
Shattering all Buster Sword
Beautiful, winged and deadly Butterfly Edge
Solid rim Hard Edge
Glass fatality Crystal Sword
Usurp Force Stealer
Blessed water Heaven's Cloud
sephiroth's Murasame
Balrog's hoard Mythril Saber
Much to Ruth's horror Nail Bat
The surgeon's familiar sight Organics
The war begins as the world ends Ragnarok
Odin’s knowledge Rune Blade
Nothing's better Ultima Weapon
Yoshiyuki
Enhance Sword
I think you've got it, BG.
I'm gonna smurfing KILL Dragon Mage. That is one good riddle.
dang thats smart, would have never guessed that
Confirmation, please.
Yep, You got it BG-57! It's Cloud's Swords. Congrats! Yur go.
(I couldn't come up with anything for the other 2 swords. and it was Babe Ruth, the baseball player.)
Cool :)
I would have called Yoshiyuki Snowstorm and Enhance Sword New and Improved.
Three daggers in a row
The prize lies near the tip
Of the smallest one
Reap multiple rewards
i was gonna say the battles against the icicles on gaia's cliff but there's 4 of em isn't ther :D
wanna tell us wot we'r looking for? something? someone? somewhere?
Cloud's Limit Break "Cross Slash"?
Three daggers in a row - He hits three times.
The prize lies near the tip
Of the smallest one - Not sure about "the smallest one", but the prize may be referring to the paralysis the attack may cause.
Reap multiple rewards - Both several hits and a possible bad status on the enemy.
It's not Cross Slash.
i think this may have something to do witht he structure of the world map. maybe the daggers are dagger shaped islands. and the prize is like in a cave at thew tip of one of the islands
i'm going to guess that it's the mideel islands, with mime materia being in the cave on the eaternmost island that requires a chocobo to get it
Right location, wrong materia. :sweatdrop

Snow and the Alexander Materia?
i was actually just looking for the woman who gives you alexander but meh, u can hav it.
is this how it's gonna work now? jus me n u switching between each other :D
Well, I have been reading them, soon as I get one, i can make one.
I've played riddle ping pong before. The fun wears off pretty quickly. :p
The high shall be made low
The low shall be made high
Useful for pushing some limits
Even against the humblest foe
Demi spells?
Hi, I'm new here at EoFF, but i thought I'd give riddling a shot.:)
So for my guess I'd have to say HP/MP-materia (you know, the one that swaps your HP for your MP)
The high shall be made low - the high amount of hp becomes the low amount of mp
The low shall be made high - same as above except the opposite
Useful for pushing some limits
Even against the humblest foe -it makes battles hard even one weak enemies
I know it's my first but still... you never know... perhaps its right
Aeris' Fury Brand limit break. Timster might be right though; I spent so long leveling up my limits in the Mithril Mines with that materia. Looking at this though, it seems we could both be right in our own way.
The high shall be made low
Total expenditure of her own limit gauge...
The low shall be made high
...to fully boost everyone else's
Useful for pushing some limits
Self explanatory, given the above
Even against the humblest foe
As those Shinra Soldiers ain't gonna do you any favours; 7 damage (their toughest attack) doesn't seem to fill the limit gauge at all when you have 999 HP, but either way one of us has the right answer.
Ah well. So I didn't get what you were actually thinking of then :P
Wow I actually got it! I'll have a riddle up in no time.
A real HARD one.;)
Alright here's the riddle:
First lightning strikes,
but then you're healed by water.
Then an earthquake your enemy dislikes,
followed by a party of bloody blows.
Out of nowhere, it's Zell's weapon!,
and also the end of those alive.
Think of all, not just one,
in more than one way.
Please don't double post, use the Edit button to add information to a previously made post. Thank you! ~ Zeromus
Something to do with limit breaks.
Tifas limit break from begining to end??
actually i think it's yuffies limits.
First lightning strikes, --> greased lightning
but then you're healed by water. --> clear tranquil
Then an earthquake your enemy dislikes, --> landscaper
followed by a party of bloody blows. --> doomed of the dead or something
Out of nowhere, it's Zell's weapon!, --> gauntlet
and also the end of those alive. --> the other one thats like limit 2,2
Think of all, not just one,
in more than one way. --> all creation
And d£v!l'$ ph0£n!x got it right!
It's yuffie's limit breaks
All the reasoning right too, maybe I made it too easy
OR maybe you're too smart;)
Anyway you're up d£v!l'$ ph0£n!x
ack, why didnt i think of that, good job phoenix
C'mon, post a new riddle!
sorry for late reply, inet been offline :(
banned for life
so i'll send the errand boy
to investigate my cause
hope he's got cash!?
looking for a person and the situation. reasoning please :D
The owner of the shop in Borneo's slums was banned from the local Inn and wants to know what they're selling in the vending machine that makes them a worthy competitor.
That's exactly what I was gonna say, except it's in the Wall Market.
I think Corneo's slums would cover that, although Borneo is an extant place.
dammit, i need to view more
I'm thinking that it could be Cait Sith when you meet him in Golden Saucer.
banned for life maybe Reeves is banned or something
so i'll send the errand boy Cait Sith because Reeves can't go himself
to investigate my cause he's undercover and all that
hope he's got cash!? Golden Saucer can be really expensive
I think Mercen-X is right. Here's why...
banned for life - That guy's banned from that inn
so i'll send the errand boy - Cloud
to investigate my cause - See what's in the vending machine
hope he's got cash!? - The game doesn't actually tell you that it's gonna cost you; one night is 10 Gil, but you have to shell out more cash for whatever's in the machine.
yup mercen x was rite, its the vending machine mini mission
ur go!
It's dirty under there, tell me again why I need hair?
I don't like getting wet, but I'll fall asleep in a creepy dark room.
You're such a nag, just hold you're horses... and your bladder too.
Okay, here it is, now what you got? Ooh that's hot-s...
All right, so you're back in the biz? Why the hell do I have to do this?
What is the event?
Okay, it's lame. It's been a while, give me a break.
Cloud's cross-dressing quest?
ok bg lets hear it
Icicle Inn has 650.
Gold Saucer has 570, at first.
Cosmo Canyon has 510.
Wutai has 475.
Gongaga has it all.
Cave of the Gi has none.
What are they?
Gil?
Sorry, not Gil.
I knew it wouldn't be that easy! Any hints? How many does Midgar or Wutai or the Chocobo Farm or Junon have? I'm thinking it might be a puzzle with just the words and numbers.
EDIT: I'm getting stuck trying to get the digits and letters to tell me something.
HintMany can be bought in shops.
huh its an item? whoa, do they really have 100s of this item, or am I supposed to change the number you give us somehow?
I think it's weapons, armor and accessories. Each number represting the amout of different kinds that are obtainable for that place.
For example: Icicle Inn has 650 then you might have to separate the digits: 6 - 5 - 0 , then maybe the 6 represents weapons, 5 armors, and 0 accesories. Not sure it's right, and have no idea which number represents what if it is right.
Anyway that's my guess!
I thought you could find some kind of weapon/armor in Cave of the Gi.
There are no numbers in-game pertaining to stock. If anything, the number might indicate how many types of each are available. For example the fact that Gongaga at some point, pretty much offers every accessory...(am I thinking of the right place? or is that Wutai?) where as the shop in Corel only offers one weapon: the Force Stealer.
I didn't think that they did either! If you read the line above it clearly says that it's referring to the amount of different weapons, and not the amount in stock/you can carry.Quote:

I think I actually understood your statement, but either way, the system you outlined is not the answer.
Actually, they are allowed. In fact the answers belong to one of those categories.

damn, thats difficult
something about accessories? but i dont think theres that many of them  o well, is it accessories?
It's not any kind of Accessories.
This couldn't possibly be a riddle more flabbergasting than that of Thingfish in the FFIX thread . . .
Would the numbers refer to types of shops?
Is it the amount of gil that can be found in that particular area?
No, that was my first guess. It's much harder than that!
Oh!, missed that, well then I withdraw my guess...I'll probably guess something else later...
I'll take a stab at it and say restore items such as potions and ethers. But I believe I'm wrong.
The answers are not restorative items.
Big HintThe numbers refer to a quality possessed by each item, not how many of them there are.
Logically this says that the answers are weapons. The only two logical groupings of weapons I can see (if we conclude that they are spread out over different locations) are all weapon's and ____'s weapons (for example, Cid's weapons).
Now, since you said:
I have been looking around on different charts over weapons and their properties, but I can't find any connection at all, whether you view the numbers as a whole (650, 510 etc.), as concatenated numbers (6-5-0, 5-1-0 etc.) or as computed numbers (650 = equation1, 510 = equation2 etc.).
I haven't been posting anything for this riddle, but I have been working a lot on it :p. I still haven't got an answer.
Edit: Actually I'm going to guess Aeris' weapons, mostly because only she and Cid can get a weapon at Gold Saucer, and she can get her first (the riddle says "Gold Saucer has 570, at first"), but also for some other reasons. It doesn't all add up though.
Yes, the answers are weapons, but not any of Aeris'.
I think that the numbers refer to the amount of materia a weapon or armor can carry... but I can't think of a good guess..... yet....
It's not Cid's rocket, nor do the numbers have any relation to materia slots.

is it cloud's swords?
Collective statistics of found weapons...?
It's not any of Cloud's weapons.
Also the numbers are not related to weapon statistics.
is it materia that can be found/bought?
Nope, they're specific weapons.
HintYou can solve this by elimination, even without knowing what the numbers mean.
Barret's Weapons
why would it be a character's weapons? Gongaga I don't think has all of anyone's.
Not Barrett's weapons.
EDIT: Oh, I understand what you mean now. By 'all', I am referring to all the numerical values in the other lines of the riddle. Same deal with 'none'. I'm thinking of a single weapon in Gongaga, not several.
Well Gongaga sells weapons that can be stolen from enemies
Maybe so, but not all of the weapons in the riddle are bought in shops.
We've eliminated weapons of Aeris, Cloud, and Barrett. Who does that leave?
well it can't be cait sith cos u get an m-phone in cave of the GI so i'll take a stab at . . . vincent
The only one who can get a weapon in Gold Saucer except Aeris is Cid, from what I know. I'll say Cid's weapons, sorry I can't give more reasoning. Well, I guess my last post's rambling could be called reasoning.
What about THE Weapons? Could it possibly be the Weapons(monster) From what I recall, Ultimate Weapon goes to Cosmo Canyon, but it has nothing to do with the Cave. Ruby shows up around the Gold Saucer. But as for Wutai or Gongaga, I'm at a loss.
Also, they don't commonly show up in shops. :)
Yuffies??
Not Yuffie's weapons.
That leaves Tifa's, Cait Sith's, and Red XIII's.
MATERIA SLOTS, Do you get the Trumpet Shell in Cave of the Gi?
Again, the numbers are not related to materia slots. And I don't believe the Trumpet Shell in is Cave of the Gi. But you're getting closer.
is it cait sith's weapons?
well cait sith and red XIII both have weapons in the GI cave so i'll say tifa's weapons
you watch now i bet it has nothing to do with weapons at al n he's just yanking us! :D
dude, dont make us do all that statistic bs please, i wanna know
Very well:
Icicle Inn has 650. Red Megaphone
Gold Saucer has 570, at first. Yellow Megaphone (Cait Sith's initial equipment)
Cosmo Canyon has 510. Green Megaphone
Wutai has 475. Blue Megaphone
Gongaga has it all. White Megphone
Cave of the Gi has none. Black Megaphone
The numbers refer to the wavelength (in nanometers) of light that correspond to each color.
TiMsTeR_Of_hEaVeN, your go.
P.S. Feel free to break out the tar and feathers. :D
Oh my, I would never have figured that out
Still, good riddle, it had me going.
Damn, I just came here to tell y'all I figured it out. I was reading my Final Fantasy VII BradyGames Guide and I noted Cait Sith's weapons. The part that jumped out at me was the White and Black Megaphones. Now I don't get credit for reasoning this out. Ah, well, it's not like I'd've been able to think up a riddle.
WOW now that's some serious reasoning! anyway, to go on with this thread...
My name is a contradiction in itself,
and in me, there is a small price to pay,
with the exception of one.
There are six others like me,
of them, many may be more interesting...
Phoenix Down
nope not phoenix down...

Jenova?
...Or the Final Fantasys I-VII?
you're only allowed one guess at the time OneWingedAngelSephiroth91, but for this one time I might as well say that both are wrong. in the future if there is more than one guess they will not be counted as guesses, just so you know...
is it the cave of the GI?
My name is a contradiction in itself, --> it is not a cave that belongs to the GI really
and in me, there is a small price to pay, --> one phoenix down to kill GI nattak
with the exception of one. --> dunno bout this
There are six others like me, --> 6 other caves, mythril mine, the 4 containging secret materia and northern cave
of them, many may be more interesting... --> the cave of the GI isn't THAT interesting, let's face it!
nope not GI-cave
hint?
Alright, since I'm SO nice I will give a hint, it's not an item... hehe a bit obvious but still it's something....
...It's not Limit Breaks is it? It seems a bit iffy, but I suppose it still needs to be guessed.
My name is a contradiction in itself, - I suppose 'breaking' a 'limit' is a slight contradiction.
and in me, there is a small price to pay, - You need to have used the previous a number of times, or killed a number of enemies to unlock them.
with the exception of one. - The last one, obviously.
There are six others like me, - Most characters have 7.
of them, many may be more interesting... - Omnislash is a bit more interesting than Braver, for example.
.....I think you got it.
Hi sorry that I haven't posted but things have been CRAZY at school and well, I simply haven't had the time.
Anyway the answer is not limit breaks.
Hint: The answer is a location.
Seventh Heaven, Tifa's bar? It is certainly in an ironic location.
The Golden Saucer?
My name is a contradiction in itself...............Saucer=plate/bowl. SILVERware, not Goldenware
And in me there is a small price to pay........... you have to pay for everything there
with the exception of one.............the event square you don't pay for.
There are six others like me,............there are 7 squares total
of them, many may be more interesting........The other squares may be more interesting.
How about Round Square. That's a pretty good contradiction.
Yeah, Round Square in Gold Saucer is most likely it. :)
You have to pay 10GP to ride the gondola, with the exception of the date sequence. There are six other squares, and the Round Square is pretty dull compared to most of the others.
And Weimar Pluto Knight VII got it!
It's Round Square, and rantzien got most of the reasoning right too...
So, you're up Pluto Knight!
@&$*. I was SO close too.....I almost had it......dam!
you get 10 points from me for the cid style cuss
:D Yay!
