This task is another trivia based question, although there are a few correct answers depending on how you interpret my question, as you shall see
Good answers so far. Boris no no, I liked how informative you were when describing the Namingway card and its location.
Good job, everyone.

Hey Loony Bob, random and off topic but I was in Edinburgh today, I meant to try and tell you but I forgot, Edinburgh rocks :D
Misfit sucks and smells of rotten fish? BRILLIANT! (imagine a Guinness commercial)
You can get the Ozma card in two distinct places. As far as I know, you can only get Namingway in Kuja's palace.
That's news to me, but FF9 is so full of events that are easy to miss.
mmm, tastey!Quote:

Write a review of this movie.
Now..you see the thing about this question kids...is that its a *trick* one. Not that I'm amazingly smart for realizing this - but how can I do a REview of a movie that hasnt come out yet?....I could do a PREview but that isnt what you've asked. So I'm faced with a dilemna *gasp* :surprised Do I give this as my answer or actually try and do a review of the movie....well.
Nyeh! :p I'm not doing it *waves finger and other assorted objects at the judges* Despite watching all the trailers, reading everything about it I can and generally being a squi! AC fanatic - I cant review it, I've only seen like 7 mins of actual footage alltogether! We dont even know *for sure* yet what the general plot is, because it *isnt* *out* *YET*. I could have wrote a really good preview, why didnt you ask me that instead!? Then I could have showed how amazingly brilliant and knowledgable I am :D CURSE YOU Election booth! This has vexed me greatly!
Because of this I am forced to use my answer to advertise the orgasmic greatness of chocolate pop-tarts! They should be made compulsory throughout the world!
CHOCOLATE POP-TARTS FOREVER! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
P.S I dont care if certain of my party members told me not to do this. :p AC Cloud is damn hot! Even if he IS made up of pixels! wahahahahahahahhaa!!! :D

Revue for Final Fantasy Advent Children--- Kory Owen/Cloud Strider
Back in 1996, Square-Enix, then Squaresoft, came out with a game that put that corporation on the map. The game not only revolutionized video games, but also created a fanatical pop-culture that even today, nine years after, are still part of.
In 2003 Square announced the creation of a new Final Fantasy 7. Rumors had went on for years before that, saying that a new 'game' would be put out, bearing the Final Fantasy 7 logo, they were half right. The new development was of a movie, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Since the flop of The Spirits Within, many were skeptical about this new movie, however, that first impression soon changed.
The graphics in this new CG-film are above the standards anyone who played Final Fantasy 7 would think. Facial expressions, movements, and textures all create an atmosphere that almost pull us into the movie itself. To say it in my own words: The cutscenes in Final Fantasy X suck, everyone looks boxy and polygonic...
Do you remember fighting Sephiroth? Do you recall the tinny, machine like music that was played at the final battle. That song was called One Winged Angel. If you've seen the new trailers, that is it, playing in the background. So I give Squeenix a big fat O for music. O being Outstanding, of course.
Although the movie hasn't been released, admit it, we already KNOW that its going to kick a.... it is going to be a very nice film. So as my revue, this is what I give it.
Visuals: A++
Music: A++
Violence: Yes please
Sexual Innuendo/scenes: In the forums, people asked, I say no. I hate being right.
Cursing/Obsenities: Mild (Barrett is a pottymouth)
Smoking/Illegal Drugs/Alcholol: Cid Highwind probably does all that, so Probably.
Jenova cells: Plenty

Write a review, very clever...I really hate reviews for movies that arent even out yet... :mad:
Final antasy VII is regarded by most as the series at its best. It was the first game in the series to break away from "past" themes like medieval and industrial revolution and came out with a modern day setting like dark cities, alleways etc. but still kept the ancient ruins and other traditional FF settings. VII gave Final Fantasy an audience outside of Japan. Talks of a remake werent uncommon with the somewhat cliffhanger ending but with events like the losses from the FF:spirits within movie any plans were constantly postponed and never really took off. When I saw the first screenshots I seriously had to wonder was it a elaborate prank. Nope.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the sequel to FFVII set to be released in Japan March 14th in full top class CGI like the Spirits Within Movie and with a soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsa, no less. I have no doubt Square has the potential to make a sucess of this movie but you really have to wonder will they? Personally, I think they will. Over the months theyve been growing more and more confident in this project (still shook up from the Spirits within flop if you ask me), The movie time has been getting longer and longer and more characters from the original party werent long being added to the cast.
The story takes place two years after VII. The planet has become peaceful. A diesease named Geo-stigma has become rampant and is particularly contagious to children. Cloud is running a package delivery service with Tifa in Midgar.They are taking in orphans. The original team has gone its seperate ways since the VII events. Cloud is hired to investigate three mysterious men all bearing a striking resemblance tp Sephiroth named Yazoo, Loz and theyre leader kadaj.
The CGI is extremely impressive and realistic but not as realistic as FF:Spirits Within. I certainly couldnt blame them for this, Theyve managed to make the movie extremely life like but still keep them as the original characters from the game. No easy task. But theres not much doubt on the CGI being brilliant, moving on...
The Soundtrack is composed by Nobuo Uematsa so Im honestly expecting it to be at the worst, very good. Its his his first attempt at a movie soundtrack and hes certainly put a lot of thought into what will suit it as a movie and not a game. The trailers have so far only shown an epic orchestrated version of the classic FFVII piece, One winged Angel and a piece of the main theme from the piano tracks. A special preview of the soundtrack was heard as part of Nobuos Dear friends concert currently touring the U.S.A. Not much information has been given on the piece (as most of the audience were glued to the screen showing clips of the movie) but it has been described as "looking back on the events of VII". Nobuo is planning what he described a more rocky soundtrack but with a fll reorchestration of one of the original tracks. This is probably One winged angel but its been pointed out that many pieces of music used in previews arent used in actual movies or games.
The voices are currently in japanese and wether they'll be dubbed is not yet known though it is possible. I think there will be English voice actors since the second trailer was released with an english narrarator. This says to me theyre keeping an audience across seas in mind. VII is seen as the first FF to have large sucess in America and Europe after all. The Japanese voices have gone down well and kept in character so far.
:chop: Theres alot of action in the movie and alot of the added time is supposedly added and lengthened battle scenes. The fighting is unrealistic but thats pretty intentional as its keeping close to the original game. Often imprssive to look at and sometimes just downright cool. The only part of the fights I found an odd trailer scene too unrealistic. Example, Tifa took on Loz in an admittedly awe inspiring fight. At one point he caught both her hands and as they held each others hands he swung her around then threw her across the room into the wall where she landed with an impact sending flower petals into the air and continued to stand on the wall. Now the wall walking was shown pretty artistically and I was impressed but the only part I really didnt like was how she got up there in the first place. It reminded me of 50's night on an episode of the simpsons :lol: . But overall the action is so far impressive to look at and I certainly cant name any CGI movie to take real advantage of action in that manner. It should be a real treat.
All in all if you enjoy Final Fantasy, CGI, Good characters, Fantasy action or promising storylines (SPOILER)(an unexpected revival, and what one of the creators has called a significant death)you should definitely take the time to see this. :moose: :up: :moomba: :ty: :mog:
Well said all! Cloud_strider did an excellent job with a very informative response that was not too long. :D
