Lunar: The Silver Star for the Sega CD.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Some Warcraft and Monster Hunter: World.
Always with the warcraft. But MH is really fun
I'm currently playing The Letter. It's a horror visual novel, and I'm actually really enjoying it despite horror not usually being my style. If you ever wanted to give visual novels a try I'd recommend this one, it's got good character development, your choices affect the story in MASSIVE ways (as opposed to just slightly different lines and a different ending), and there's even some mini games of sorts where you try and escape from the horror that's chasing you. It's pretty fun.
I playing Zodiac Age. I just got pass the Elder Wyrm. For the longest time, I had it confused with Tiamat. I remembered thinking I need Esuna for that fight. So when I got to Tiamat and didn't have Esuna, I panicked a little. But then I beat it and was like, oh that's not to bad. And then basically two screens later, the Elder Wyrm shows up. And I'm like, OH! This is the guy I was thinking of. And I still don't have Esuna! Penelo and Larsa were throwing out Curas because of all the Poison and Sap. Sad thing is, I have Esuna and Penelo could learn it, but I was saving up LP for a Quickening.
Deeply immersed in Horizon Zero Dawn. Absolutely in love with the world and the story. Will definitely be getting The Frozen Wilds DLC once I've finished the main story.
Fortnite
Finished Far Cry 5, ending was (SPOILER)absolute trash but oh well, that's Far Cry for you, love the games, the occasional great moments and the characters but hate the endings.
About to start Final Fantasy III. For anyone interested, I'll be streaming this one at https://www.twitch.tv/loony_bob /shamelessplug
Been enjoying Monster Hunter World (offline because I'm not a fan of PS Plus) and ... TRYING to survive at least one year in Don't Starve. I keep learning new tricks n such but death is.... death is inevitable OTL
(also casually replaying FFIX but when am I not)
My sister's been playing that. She got it for me, but... turns out she's more engrossed in it than I am.
I still love HZD but I'm kinda turned off by the fact that Aloy never sleeps or eats. Kinda ruins the immersion imo.
Yeah, I get that. I'm kinda glad they didn't though. I don't want it to be too realistic. It's still a computer game and I don't want to have to be bogged down with being forced to sleep or sit down and eat. She also never uses the toilet but I'm definitely glad they didn't include that :D
I just picked Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light again. I keep forgetting how utterly weird this game is.
Lately it's been Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, either playing couch co-op Classic Mode or doing the Adventure mode solo.
I've been making my way through Chain of Memories. I'm just about done with Sora's story.
Let’s see...
Still doing DQXI when I can
Just beat the champion in Pokémon Black 2, so I’m digging my teeth into the very meaty post game
Started Stardew Valley. It’s neat.
Taking a short break from DQIX as grinding skill points tuckered me out a bit, but I’ll definitely go back.
I remembered I hadn’t beaten FFX-2 HD yet so I restarted that.
Also want to finally play and beat Front Mission.
Sims 4.
I've just come from Sims 3 and enjoy building using new materials. I'm planning to use cheats, make my character being a top architect and build even more. Yes, Sims is a building game, not a life simulator for me.
I'm joining the Apex Legends train currently and quite enjoying it. Titanfall is my ideal FPS minus the tragic lack of players so I'm enjoying something cut from the same cloth.
I'm playing the Free to Play PC sensation that everyone is talking about right now! That's right, you know the one, it's the one you're thinking of. That one. It one everyone knows and is playing right now. That's right, you guessed it, it's Warframe.
Endless Space 2. I initially ignored the title in favor of the original and Legend, but lately a few friends picked it up and we've been playing it a lot. There's a lot more going on than in the first game, and I have to give the devs quite a lot of credit for advancing the title, although I do feel missiles and juggernauts need serious tweaking.
Hitman was on PS+ so I picked that up. I'm having a lot of fun. I like that the set up is here's your target and they drop you in a giant toybox.
Just recently finished a replay of the Halo: Reach campaign. Pretty easy to do if you clock a few hours over the course of a weekend.
I'm excited for the traveling Halo amusement park/museum thing that's coming this summer so I was giddy to play an old favorite.
NieR: Automata.
I've had this sitting in my Steam library since I bought it on release, but after dying before reaching the first save after 30 minutes I got mad at it and stopped playing, and didn't go back for two years.
Just now discovering what a colossal mistake that was. This game is... remarkable.
Also as of just after my first visit to the machine village I totally ship 2B and Operator 60
Civ 6, good old Counter Strike: Go and Magic: The Gathering Online.
Dead Cells, an excellent rogue-lite that looks very Castlevania-esque (though make no mistake, the focus is on combat, not exploration)
Far Cry: New Dawn, aka Far Cry 5.5, entertaining enough for what it is.
Apex Legends, finally a BR I'm actually playing.
CrossCode, a great top-down action RPG that I should really spend more time on.
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, because i gotta use that EA Origin Access on something after the disappointment that was Anthem.
Resident Evil 2 remake, which I've already done everything in but I still do a run here and there.
's about it at the moment. I like juggling games.
Devil May Cry 5.
I'm replaying Gran Turismo 3 A Spec at the moment. Soon I'll be getting a Driving Force Pro steering wheel, shifter, pedal set-up again to fully enjoy the game. I'm also finishing up my Final Fantasy V 'perfect game' file as well.
Man, I can't wait for my replacement DFP wheel, playing semi simulators are way more enjoyable with them. After GT3 I'm moving onto GT4 again.. this time I'll 100% it. GT4 is fun with the wheel on simulation steering feedback setting and N3 tires equipped(realistic grip level. not arcade tires)especially while taking my favorite cars(2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A, RUF BTR2 'Yellow Bird', 2004 Ford GT40 etc) to the Nürburgring.
Mission 34 in GT4 is going to kill me again. I did it twice before but that was the most challenging video game endeavor I've ever completed.. nightmarish times it is. I'll try to make the most of it though, somehow lol!
I've been trying to resist the urge to buy new games and have been playing through some stuff I bought awhile ago but never got into or fizzled out on.
I just beat Dead Cells on Switch, though I'm sure there's a ton of postgame stuff that I probably won't get around to. Next I'm planning to dust off the 3DS and finish Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold and Oracle of Seasons on the Virtual Console. Still playing lots of Smash too. I'm on a serious Switch kick atm. Waiting impatiently for Dragonquest XI on Switch (don't have a PS4) and Shin Megami Tensei V (give me some info plox)
I started Dark Souls 2. In 1 and 3 I did a Sorcery build, I'm mixing things up and doing a Dex/Archer build.
I was worried that I'd end up putting points into Int and Attunement out of habit. But the Bandit's stats were so low that it wasn't even worth it. Like they were so low, Straid and Felkin wanted nothing to do with me. I did end with a STR/DEX build instead of a DEX build. I was using Caestuses and punched my way through everything and only brought the bow out during annoyances like Shrine of Amana.
BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!
and World of Warcraft (still)
I have been hardcore into The Witcher 3
Spiderman (PS4) - Lots of fun.
Ico - Over halfway through and massively stuck on a puzzle. I refuse to cheat.
MLB 11: The Show - Still trying to win the World Series on career mode
Pokemon Gold - Never actually completed it. This time...
I'm a little bit all over the show since I finished Xenoblade Chronicles which consumed 162 of my life hours.
Okami, hollow knight and celeste.
The switch has really revitalized my love for gaming. Could hardly find the time with all my commuting via train but now I can take advantage of that. It's been sweet,
Finished Dark Souls 2, and doubled back to finally finish the first one. Last thing I did story wise was beat Ornstein and Smough. It was funny people talk about how Dark Souls 2 is sluggish, but it's been awhile since I played any and jumping into the first one right away it's very noticeable. She chugs the Estus flask in this game. I've beaten Nito and Bed of Chaos. Couple things: First I've heard horror stories about Bed of Chaos. How's it's at the top of the everyone's list as worst boss in the series. Didn't really prepare me for it. My friend was telling me about a boss, and this was before I played even Bloodborne, he went on about how it was bulltrout. And had no idea how to beat it and had to look up a guide. If it wasn't for him telling me that, I would've been in the same boat. Nothing up to that point prepares you for that fight. I can't even remember if jumping was required before hand. It really is a dumb boss. And lore wise, the Witch of Ilalith got shafted. That random pyromancer guarding the door was a better representation than that thing.
And second, why does Blighttown get so much hate when Lost Izalith exists? Everyone knows about Blighttown, even people who have never played know it's supposedly the worst thing in existence. Honestly I didn't find it any worse than anyplace else in the game. You just got to be careful and make your way down. And those knife throwing assholes stay dead. But Lost Izalith on the other hand is a giant headache. And I'm being literal. The first half of the level is covered in this bright glowing orange lava that gave me a headache. And there's these giant things, I can't tell what they are because that glow makes everything hard to make out. You'd think they'd stay dead, but nope they come back. And this glowy lava isn't just decoration, you have to travel over it. And to travel over it you have to use up a ring slot. And you only have two. And the second half of the level is full of fat fire breathing nutsucks that make an annoying sound when they aggro you. And giant toothy vagina monsters that spray you and destroy your gear. And to top it all off, the boss of the area is the Bed of Chaos.
tl;dr Lost Izalith is bad.
But on a brighter side. I grinding on Phalanx and was throwing my sign down just encase. And I was summoned. Cut down my grinding my five levels and I'm a Sunbro now.
Lost Izalith is a pretty sucky dungeon, and a large part of why Dark Souls second half undermines the rest of the game for me. As for Blighttown getting a bad rep, I almost feel that's because most people never played Demon's Souls and experienced the Valley of Defilement, which ranks as one of the most frustrating areas in all of the Souls series. Blighttown even follows the basic layout and structure of the Valley of Defilement with 70% less of the bulltrout.
Valley of Defilement is infinitely worse than blighttown for sure. You can barely even see in the Valley. Blighttowns layout can actually be really interesting if tackled coming down from the depths. The verticality is a nice touch imo and makes both the upper and lower parts of the area feel distinct. Upper blighttown is genuinely tense at times due to the cramped area and the toxic dart dudes. What's neat is that since the dart dudes don't respawn the area doesn't feel unfair. If you can kill one of those guys you're still making progress even if you die. Upper blighttown is of course better than the boring flat swamp of lower blighttown and neither are particularly great areas but I think the hatred is overblown.
Lost Izalith/demon ruins meanwhile is a giant disappointment that just keeps going and going. I'd be less miffed if there weren't so many goddamn bosses. Ceaseless, firesage, centipede demon and bed of chaos. None of which are fun to me or engaging. Compare that to the usual 2(or 1) bosses for all the other areas in the second half and its easy to see why its a drag. It's a lazy, garbage area and I always dread going there. Even exploring it isn't fun. It's just a bunch of randomly pasted rehased minibosses in demon ruins and then more garbage in izalith proper.
I fought Ceaseless Discharge after Quelaag and forgot about him. Three mini-bosses and a puzzle boss, didn't even realize it. I beat it and yea, everything post Anor Londo is kind of disappointing. I only sorta like one and half levels. New Londo wasn't bad. There was only one room that was bad and it was right before the boss and could run through it and Tomb of the Giants was eh. I hated Duke's Archive. Skeleton Archers hiding behind mages hiding behind more archers hiding behind warriors. And the crystal cave just seemed pointless.
So, I been playing dsr on the switch which is pretty convenient since I can't always game now due to working.
But, when i do have time, I had been playing Sekiro and Days gone, pretty good games and Farcry 5 has been great as well.
smurf it, I'm just gonna finally start Chrono Trigger right now.
I’ve finally gotten around to Undertale. I already did a pacifist run and am doing the genocide route now. It’s been a good time.
I also decided to do the month trial for Apple Arcade and have been way too addicted to What the Golf.
Weirdly enough, since I tend to hate these types of combat systems, I've been playing through Half-Life 1 and Fallout 4. I actually thought I was close to the end in Half-Life, only to learn I'm actually closer to the midpoint. For Fallout 4, I'm in typical Bethesda mode of being constantly sidetracked by other missions and I've now reached Diamond City despite having like twenty hours of game time going. For those wondering, it's like the third story mission in the game and I'm almost to level 20 and have Sanctuary well on its way to being a fortress city.
I'm trying to plat final fantasy 9 on the PS4. I'm currently doing the chocobo treasure chest crap
Shadow Tactics
Death Stranding. Currently on Chapter 9 and expanding my network of ziplines to make delivery to everywhere quick and painless instead of advancing the plot. Hopefully won't run out of bandwidth before I finish. I have extraneous ziplines in some places but I don't really want to trel back and remove them unless I need to.
I've fallen back into FFXIV again.
Final Fantasy IV.
My first time playing it. It's been a fun ride so far!
I'm currently playing Persona 5 Royal! ^^
Bouncing between Remake and the original.
playing CoD advanced warfare (not online, just the campaign)
i dont even know why because that kind of warshooters are not really my thing, but its nice enough for 'casual gaming'.
I bought it because i needed to spend a couple more euro's to get free shipping when i bought FF7R haha
i am also bussy with FFX. i'm at an annoying boss i Almost defeated last time, i should be able to if i pay better attention.
i believe i'm almost at the end, i'm going traight to FFX-2 after that.
Also playing Crisis Core because of FF7R
I need a reason to keep playing Birth by Sleep. I spoke about this enough with a couple other people, but my main thign is why does it take so long to beat regular enemies in this game? Like damn!
Just play the monopoly minigame a lot. You’ll get game breaking commands in no time
What monoploy mini game? I guess I'll give it another try. I was about to give up on this game. I actually did not mess around with melding commands. I'll do that next time I boot up the game. I was stuck on this battle in Neverland because I could barely deal any damage while the enemies were dealing a lot to me.
Hey Fynn, and Kanno, how do I beat ventus in his third phase? I looked up a video online that says to sit back and just use the shotlock but I think the point of the fight is to get the meter full and use Last Word two or three times , but I notice my bar doesn't increase sometimes when I do this or it goes it away.
You should have a new D-Link that is Vanitas once you reduce his health to almost nothing, which will grant you most of his moves. The actual finisher meter only charges up when you clash with Vanitas using Dark Link Shotlock. You have to win by spinning the directional pad in the right direction faster than he can. You'll have to do it a few times to fully charge for a combo finisher which is Last Word which will end the fight when it fully connects.
I hit him with Last Word once, but it still didn't kill him. I was so mad! This game is frustrating me. I spent hours on this and then I accidentally tripped over my controller cord which knocked down my PS4 and caused it to turn off. I thought my PS4 was done for like a whole ten minutes before I figured out to turn it back on and now I'm back to the phase 1 part of the battle. I'm like ready to quit. it took me a long time to get there.
You said a D-Link? All I get is all of my moves turning into D Strike. I can't find a consistent way to get the meter full. If I idle the meter will just deplete. I looked up this guide, but his strategy did not work for me.

Witcher 3.
I played it when it came out in 2015 on the PS4, took a 10-11 month break and finished the game in 2016. I picked it up, the complete edition, during a Steam sale a few years ago.
I decided to finally play the Witcher 2 a few weeks ago and I just kept it going with Witcher 3.
Having watched the Netflix show and experiencing the second game, I've found I have a greater appreciation for the Witcher 3. It's also just a damn fun game. I also decided to play Gwent, the card game mini-game, this time around. Loving it. Definitely not a bad game to spend time with during this period.
I also picked up Civilization VI last week.
As the video shows, you basically have to spam the shotlock to get into that battle with his shotlock in order to charge up your finisher Last Word. What the video fails to mention it that Last Word has to fully connect all its hit to count as a finish, so you need to make sure you're locked on to him before activating it. You may simply need to charge up the attack a few times and wail on him with Last Word more than once because landing the attack is not a guarantee victory. The fight is really more about patience and Nomura dragging out the spectacle aspect of it.
My issue is I have to wait for him to try and do it, but when I do the meter goes back down so I could never get it full again. I'll try one more time, but after that I'm quittin.
Edit: nevermind I got it now. I thought I had to wait for the red dots every time to get a clash. I just need to spam it and I can get lucky and get one. The Last Word actually killed him this time. I made sure to get in on him close before I did it. I'm surprised he just floated there and let me do it. I'm glad that bulltrout is over with.
I think taking a break is what helped me most.
Edit: Wait Wait, did I just beat the game? I thought it was going to have a scene where it would let me choose who I want to play as next. it looks like I'm going to have to create a New file to play the other two. I'm not looking forward to going back and dealing trout damage to enemies. I guess I'll skip to 2.8 then.
I felt like I got more confused from this story playing this game.
Yeah you have to play through all three scenarios to get the full scenario, and they all need to be separate files as well.
This video might help and it's funny to boot:
Don’t worry though as you’re basically visiting different parts of each world with each character, so it doesn’t really feel like you’re playing the same game again for the most part.
Okay, you were right Fynn dealing damage is no longer a factor. I thought since I had to do a new file I would be going back to dealing trout damage to enemies, but Terra is taking them out quickly. I guess the game sorta saved my stats from Ventus's playthrough?
Kingdom Hearts story has been a mess since II, but Birth by Sleep feels especially bad to me and the gameplay doesn't make up for it as much unlike KHII. Jumps feel weird and the game's pacing is off. There are too many battles back to back without other things to change things up.
At the moment I am playing WoW. Switched to Apex Legends and Destiny 2 some time ago for a change but eventually returned to WoW :D get loads of gold here and have fun playing the game 4-5 hours daily
Surprisingly nothing. After finishing FF7R's story mode on Hard difficulty, I feel I've lost the will to... play. I've still got five other games I haven't even cracked open, not to mention I haven't finished Star Wars Fallen Order. I got KH3 for Christmas and I haven't so much as looked at it. Just thinking about my PS4 now makes me tired. Damn, I'm old. I'm 35, but I'm already so old.
Going through Royal again. Disappointed they didn't change carry overs from 5 because I don't want to carry over all of my social stats, but I do want my Personas, stamps, and money to carry over.
Weird. For me social stats is the only thing I want to carry over in new game +. Why? Because it allows you to not have to spend any time on repetitive stuff like studying, let's you give stat linked answers that you might not have been able to do the first time around, and ace all tests without sacrificing anything. On the other hand, carrying over equips and personas makes the game easy to the point of boredom.
I don't have to use any of those personas or weapons and I there are like only two dialogue choices in the whole game that are dependent on a social stat and that's Guts in the beginning with Igor and Shido. Other folks have stated how New Game + kills the entire slice of life half of the game considering there's no point in doing any of it if there's 0 progression. I only wanted Guts to carry over since that's the hardest one to rank up.
I am playing Witcher 3 Blood & Wine, FFVII Remake, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Hearthstone!
This thread has seen a lot over the years!
I've been playing Shantae: Half Genie Hero. I did not know about this game. I thought it went from Pirate's Curse to Seven Sirens. I grabbed the Ultimate Edition because it has all the DLC for about the same price. Finished Shantae's story and working on Risky Boots' now.
Playing Pokemon Omega Ruby, Shield, the FFVII remake and Dragon Quest XI. Just finished The Outer Worlds and loved it.
I was recently pressured into playing Destiny 2 and am finding it an entertaining time. The prestige content—raids, etc.—definitely grabs me, but I'm going to quickly tire of the less interesting repetition. I think I would be less bothered if I was maintaining my position at endgame level rather than trying to catch up, but it still feels a lot like there's an unnecessary amount of busywork just to remain able to participate or have access to the tools needed to 'have fun', let alone succeed.
I’ve been slowly working my way through Resident Evil 7, and I’m enjoying it for the most part. It will be my first Resident Evil I beat (although I’ll go back to the first ReMake after I beat this probably). My main problem with it is that it isn’t Silent Hills, and a silent hill game is what I’m really in the mood for right now.
I try to stick to playing three games at a time. I need some variation!
Currently:
Fallout 4
The Last of Us Remastered
Octopath Traveler
And some occasional multiplayer projects:
Borderlands 3
Fallout 76
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Resident Evil 3
The Forest

Jedi Fallen Order
TRIAL OF MANA :kaoclove:
Games that I have been focusing on currently are:
Final Fantasy X
Phantasy Star Online 2
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance
Civilization IV Beyond the Sword
Tabletop Simulator
Marvel Strike Force
Power Rangers Legacy Wars
Currently playing:
FFX (nostalgia yo)
Monster Train
Hearthstone Battlegrounds
FM20
These days I just kind of mess around in Rocket league on the PS4 with some friends. I tried MW2, but I'm not good enough anymore. It just rages me.
Also finished a playthrough of Halo MCC (1+2 on heroic). No multiplayer, since I don't have PC gaming friends anymore. They all have kids now and watch Temptation island on TV.
Other than that, I guess some Total War: Warhammer II now and then.
I'm old now.
I'm very close to platting Warriors Orochi 4. Just have to finish S Rank and Battle Objectives for Chapter 5 and then do Chaos.
I'm playing Civ VI, FE3H and just did a quick run of Zelda: Link between worlds. :p
Replaying Demon's souls ( I can't wait for DeSouls remake!!!! )
Trying to plat Sekiro and Nier automata as well before ps5 comes out xD
Working my way through the Gears of War series. I only ever played the first one back in the day, but thought Gears 4 and 5 looked kinda good, so figured I'd go back and play 2 & 3 so I can get the story done.
I dunno if you need to play Judgement as well?
ff7r and hollow knight
recently finished prey and it was amazing except for the ending
I bought Terraria. I can't stop playing.
Currently on chapter thirteen of Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3. I've been meaning to play it since more or less the day it came out, but other stuff kept getting in the way. Glad I finally gave it a chance though, as I'm having more fun with it than I've had with any game in quite a while. Loving how Skies of Arcadia-ish it feels (complete with cameos from alternate reality Vyse and Aika!). I think you can definitely tell that a lot of the same people worked on both games. :)
Just picked up Firewatch and Witcher 3 on the cheap.
Decided to get Firewatch out of the way first before Witcher 3 takes over my evenings for a few weeks.
good game! really fun and animeQuote:

i just started crisis core, which i've never played before, and it's really hard to play this after playing ff7re lol
For sure! The battle system becomes kind of broken as the game goes on (scouts, in particular, become absurdly overpowered, and I found that the demolition order basically rendered the entire lancer class obsolete), but it’s so much fun to play that I hardly care. Definitely going to continue with the rest of the series once I’m done with this one!
I have somewhat mixed feelings on Crisis Core too. The combat didn’t really click for me (I imagine it’d seem even worse after playing the VII Remake), and certain parts of the story felt pretty silly, even as someone who loves the story and lore in FFVII. But I grew to really like Zack over the course of the game, and if you get invested in him as a character, then the ending is very well done, and almost makes the whole experience worth it. I don’t think it’s really a must play, but I don’t regret running through it once. :)
The later games balance the classes better but Scouts are still great. I actually think VC 2 & 3 are overall better than VC 1, but they are PSP games and VC 3 only came out in Japan. I played a fan translated version of VC 3 and it was really fun. I haven't tried VC 4 yet but it's on my shelf.
Started playing .Hack//GU. I haven't played it since it was new. So like 10-ish years? I do not remember most of disc 1. Completely forgot about Gaspard. I'm just waiting for Alkaid to show up.
I'm actually about eight hours into 3 just now. :) I tried moving straight on to 2 after I finished the first one, but while I appreciated the improvements it made gameplay-wise to VC1's formula, it felt like such a big departure tonally from the first game, and it wasn't really what I was looking for in a sequel. I might give it another go somewhere down the line when I feel ready to approach it more on its own terms.
Really enjoying 3 so far, anyway! I'm not a huge fan of how many generic battles it throws at you, and I kind of preferred the structure of the first game, where each compulsory battle is very much its own unique thing. But I can appreciate that the unique, large scale battles of the first game wouldn't have been practical on the PSP, and the game is still loads of fun to play, even when you're just slogging through the same maps against generic troopers. I also loved the cast of characters almost from the off, and it makes tons of really great improvements to the gameplay of the first game (I especially love the class change system, and how much more practical retreating / redeploying your troops is now). I can definitely see how you might prefer it to the first game despite the obvious technological downgrade when moving from PS3 to PSP.
And I had no idea that VC3 had been fan translated. That's really cool! I speak Japanese so I'm just playing it in the original language, but it always felt so weird that Sega hadn't localised the third game, especially as it was generally better received than the second. So it's great to hear that the whole series is available in English now.
ah yeah I just started vc2 and I agree that the tone seems ridiculous right now... does this change?
VC2 does get a little more serious but it is not the same warlike tone of VC1 and VC3.
I've recently been playing some old NES games on the Switch Online. There's a lot of great stuff in there. I've been playing Zelda 2, Startropics, Crystalis, Kid Icarus. They have a nifty rewind feature which is basically a cheat but it helps with the unforgiving difficulty of some of the 8 bit games.
Replaying FFIX, trying to use characters I've never really used (such as Quina) and doing the things I never fully completed (Chocographs/frog catching) to see how different the party feels compared to my old regulars Zidane/Steiner/Freya/Garnet.
DISHONORED 2 why is it running so slowly
the combat kind of sucks on a keyboard and mouse but this is totally an exploration game first and foremost
Continuing my SaGa love with Final Fantasy Legend 3 and Romancing SaGa Re:Universe.
With the announcement of SMTV, I'm also finishing up my playthrough of the original Shin Megami Tensei. Have to kill me some Hindu deities before I can have my throw down with Heaven and Hell.
Still playing Last Recode. I'm like halfway through Disc 3.
Also been playing Puyo Puyo Tetris.
70+ hours into Persona 4 Golden. I think the end is finally on the horizon. I’ve enjoyed it, but with tighter editing and pacing it would be a shorter but even better experience.
started p4 two times... can't get into it
started p3 three times... and it's one of my fave games ever
so what I'm saying is I kind of want to start p4 again after dishonored lol
Been playing Dragon Marked For Death on PS4. Seriously a fun online coop game.
Dissidia NT and Animal Crossing New Horizon. It’s been so much fun! * ^ *
Got myself back into an Metal Gear mood, so I'm replaying MGS3 with the PS3 HD collection.
Fall Guys. Non stop. It's incredible. Send help.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Been waiting for this one for so long~
Judgment
I want to know whose bright idea it was include two fully functional arcades in the game. And to put Puyo Puyo in one of them. And shake their hand. The game itself is fantastic. It's Yakuza meets Ace Attorney. Yagami is a lot more acrobatic than Kiryu. Flipping off walls, jumping off enemies. But being a lawyer/detective he's not as sturdy and there's this new mechanic where they can shave off you maximum HP. Heard the later chapters are some of the hardest in the franchise because of that mechanic.
Like permanently? Or just for the rest of a battle?
It's lowered until your fix it.
Final Fantasy 8 (for the first time as well).
Outside of that are;
MLB 09 The Show
Tales of Xillia 2
Despite buying it soon after acquiring a PS3 and several attempts to get into it, I am finally playing through Devil May Cry 4. I just reached the half way point.
Well, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox just dropped, so...
Maybe due to recent lockdowns but I returned to ... World of Warcraft ;) when you have all the time in the world and don't have to hurry anywhere playing WoW with friends is really soothing.

I've been chain gaming lately *sigh*
PS4
Ys IX
Ion Fury
Switch
Grandia HD
Mostly Kingdom Hearts III.
I've not long completed "The Medium", & I've just started Ryse: Son of Rome.
Many years ago I would never expect to be playing any games on an Xbox, yet here I am.
Currently doing a Let's Play of Persona 5 Strikers. I need to get a headset for my PS4 though. I didn't realize that there would be an echo so it must be because my microphone is picking up me and the game when the PS4 is already picking up the game.
Any headset recommendations?
Taking a short break from the Final Fantasy MMOs to play RuneScape. I'm also working my way through Cyberpunk 2077 and Kingdom Hearts, and playing a little bit of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War when I need to turn my brain off.
I'm slowly poking my way through Yakuza Kiwami.
I'm taking a break from Tekken 7, and have moved over the Soul Calibur 6. I have a long ways to go to get up to speed.
Persona 5 Strikers what else?
I just finished Ori and the Blind Forest and now I'm starting Indivisible.
I also started FFXII TZA to play with the kids.
CSGO
Dead By Daylight
and I've finally started Dark Souls remastered after years of Bri pestering me.
Recently started Crash Bandicoot 4. I'm really liking it so far, feels exactly like how a Crash game should.
Currently, my top playing game is Final Fantasy XV. Would you believe it or not I almost spend 10 hours daily and 12-14 hours in a day while playing it. No doubt It is much much addictive game
The other day stumbled upon Ori and the Blind Forest's review on YT. I realised that the game is a masterpiece. Bought it soon afterwards. It is a very soulful game. One of the best in recent years. My top #1 is PoE, a great action role-playing video game which is fascinating in terms of gameplay and graphics. 1 tip: the more currency you get there the more successful you can be in the game.
Playing Total War: Warhammer 2 as high elves, One of the greatest strategy games ever, this game is absolutely amazing so it has extremely addicting gameplay and It’s unbelievably well balanced considered the number of different races.
Still playing Skyrim after a decade with tons of mods.
Fallout: New Vegas. I wish there was a proper romance system though, I'd marry the trout out of Veronica.
Elden Ring
I am playing Bravely Default 2. Having fun with the job combos.
I apparently spent 20 hours playing Elden Ring in the past two days, so can confirm is good and addictive.
God damn it. My comp is only able to meet the minimum requirement. :(
Gonna start growing money in my toilet to get a new one.
AND IT SUPPORTS MOD!! WILL IT BECOME ANOTHER SKYRIM!!??? :kaoclove:
I will probably eventually give Elden Ring a try, once PS5s come down in price, but I'm scared to try it.
Does the console version supports Mods? I think one of the beauty in modern game is user-created content. Official contents are just too commercialized. I lack the moola. :(
Just finished Chained Echoes since it's on Xbox PC Game Pass. Man, what a great RPG! Better than most early FFs, I'd go as far as to say.
Pokemon Unbound is my current heroin.
It's a FireRed ROM hack with a completely original world and story and is everything I wish GameFreak had started doing with the franchise ten years ago.
River City Girls 2. I wish I had more time to play. I guess I could play right now, but I feel guilty about it.
Atelier Iris 2. I only discovered the Atelier series last year and I'm completely hooked.
Ooh yeah I played Ryza and really enjoyed it. Didn't get too far into Ryza 2 though... that damn city was too big and I got tired of it xD
I need to get back into Atelier series. I loved the Iris games and two Mana Khemia's.
I've been getting back into Assassin's Creed. Playing Brotherhood right now.
Wooo Atelier! I've played all the English releases except for Iris 3, Mana Khemia, Sophie 2 and Ryza 2. I'm making my way through them!
Playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Tactics Ogre Reborn
Currently playing Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Crisis Core Reunion, Star Ocean Divine Force and Sonic Frontiers.
Dropped Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order earlier this week, which I'm sure could have been a really good game if not for EA.
Diablo 2 Resurrected. I am a sucker for nostalgia.
Dragon Quest 11:S, with the Project Rebuild mods collection to restore it to (surpass) the graphics of the original Dragon Quest 11 on Steam. In parallel, doing a run-through of Dragon Quests 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 on iOS.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. It's one of the best games I've ever played, even with the freaky glitches.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (completed 1/3 of the game the other day as Ventus) and Death Stranding. I've had the KH Story so far collection for a while now but hadn't touched it. Played 1 & 2 back in the day but none of the others.
"Final Fantasy" on the Famicom
(I have been learning Japanese for several years, and video games are fun reading practice material).
I have had a bit of a Solo Challenge project lately - where class changes have been allowed - and I have finished Fighter (very easy), Red Mage (easy) and Black Belt (rough, but fairly easy, mostly later in the game, when Black Belt got crazy fist attacks thanks to extra hits).
I started White Mage a while ago, and that guy definitely heavily relies on the RUSE spell, which is actually incredibly useful against physical attacks;
I threw that spell 3 times during the fight against Garland, at LV5, and he didn't hit me a single time after that.
Went back to playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms series by Koei!
Potion Craft was enjoyable but by the end it felt tedious because it was just so very, very repetitive. There's basically only one thing to do in the game and once you have it figured out, that's it. Glad I got it via Xbox Game Pass for PC so I didn't have to pay for it on Steam though.
Tried out Bugsnax and honestly it seems pretty fun but for some reason I just didn't get caught up into it, and haven't touched it since the first few hours I spent. Maybe I'll play it more later on.
The Case of the Golden Idol was interesting and good quality. Worth getting on sale, though, not sure it justifies a full price.
I Was a Teenage Exocolonist was really cool, and I played through the story a few times. I didn't get a "perfect run" and lost interest in doing so after a third play-through (if you follow a guide it's easy but I didn't). Very good replayability because the game is designed with being replayed in mind, so each of my three runs gave me a unique story for both my character and the world around me. Definitely aim to play through it more than once if you get it.
Crying Suns I finished just last night, and it was a fun FTL-styled game. I still probably prefer Space Haven more than FTL and Crying Suns, but Crying Suns beats Space Haven and FTL for story/lore quite easily, while still keeping up the quality in all other areas. Worth playing if you enjoy roguelite space travelling games for sure.
Just started Ys I. Very early in so yet to know if I enjoy it yet. The battle system is... very basic, so far. I like the book that keeps notes on every NPC you meet. I always love games that reward things like that.
I've been playing Legend of Mana. I started it a couple years ago and played it for a little bit. I had to restart because I forgot what I was doing and this game doesn't tell you anything.
HOW DID YOU KNOW
Playing Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Eiyuden Chonicles Rising
I'm thirty quests in and I have no idea what's going on. There's this questline going on about this jewelthief where they introduced this guy and immediately killed him. And there's this other questline where the furries and fairies and demons teamed up with a demon who wants to destroy the world. But not really cause he just wants to be with this nun, but this asshole keeps attacking him cause he's demon.
Played a bit of Dwarf Fortress for a while, the new Steam version seems like a positive step overall. Currently playing Rimworld though.
I find I get far more attached to individual characters in Rimworld when compared with DF. The world of DF is way more broad and varied, but the easy modding of Rimworld can really allow it to catch up a lot in that area, too. I would kill for a "perfect mix" of these two but I know such a thing won't exist for years because quite frankly anything catching up to DF in complexity would take a notably large scale effort.
But damn, if DF and Rimworld were to be merged it would be genuinely peak gaming for me, as I love colony sims just as much as I love Final Fantasy games.
FFXIV!!
jesus christ ive been playing a lot of project zomboid
Trying to work my way through Persona 4 again.
Playing FFXV Royal Edition
A decent FFXV version.
Chess.
My current gaming obsession? World of Warcraft, and it's an absolute blast, especially with Levelupper by my side. These guys are the Jedi Masters of WoW boosting. From PvP carry that turns you into a gladiator to Arena boosts that make you an arena god, they've got it all. Normal dungeon runs? They'll make it feel like a walk in the park. Power leveling? Your character will level up so fast, it's like a rocket launch! And when it comes to Warcraft raid boosting, they'll make sure you're the ultimate raid commander. Plus, you pay a fair price for all this awesomeness. Ready to level up your WoW game? Dive into the action at Levelupper. It's time to become a WoW legend!
Replaying the Armored Core series at the moment, so replaying Armored Core III at the moment.
Replaying Fallout: New Vegas because it's excellent.
Parasite Eve II
This is my first time playing it (along with the first one beforehand) and it's an absolute blast! (pun intended). Though, I think the first one was slightly better in terms of story and gameplay. The second one is still great though.
Except those invisible bug ceiling enemies. Screw those guys.
I'm on a Tales binge atm so it's Tales of Vesperia for me :)
Continuing my game of Persona 3 Portable that I put on the back burner a few months back.
That is until Fallout: New Vegas arrives in the mail. Then I'm sinking some hours into that.
Just finished Hades. Definitely one of my top five games now.
Currently playing "Fallout: New Vegas" but I put it on hold. I'm nearing the end but I think I need a break so I decided to replay American McGee's Alice and Madness Returns during my little break. It was the right choice. I'm having a blast.
Just completed Mario Wonder. It was not perfect, but it is the best 2D Mario since Yoshi’s Island. My 5 year old was really into it too.
I'm playing Breath of Fire III.
Stardew Valley :)
Dwarf Fortress. I only picked up within the last year or so, despite it existing for a bajillion years prior. It's so silly and fun, and scratches a lot of hyperfocus itches for me. :D
Currently playing some Pal World
Dwarf Fortress is soooooo good. The times we had in Towntwinkles and Spoonproblems remain with me to this day, and DF is still sitting pretty at #3 on my all-time top 100 games list.
Wife and I are rolling through Baldur's Gate 3 right now. There are a lot of things to do in that game.
I'm currently going through a bit of a gaming drought at the moment. I'll start something and just not be that into it and opt to do other things. I mean, it happens from time to time but I don't LIKE when it happens.
But right now I'm mainly just playing Doom mods here and there (Old school Doom, in case you were wondering). It's a fun time killer and some of the mods people come up with are so dang creative and fun.
So, one of the recent games I found myself playing wasn’t some blockbuster or indie darling – it was a browser game called “Snake Color Brake” that you can check out at https://snakecolorbrake.com. Now, before you roll your eyes, hear me out. This game takes the classic snake formula and adds a fresh twist. You’re controlling a snake made of balls, and your goal is to break through blocks by matching your snake’s color with the blocks. It starts off nice and easy, but don’t let that fool you – as you keep playing, the difficulty ramps up, and it becomes this intense, fast-paced challenge that really tests your reflexes and strategy. The endless mode is particularly addictive, pushing you to survive as long as possible while trying to climb the global leaderboard. What really got me was how accessible it is – no downloads, no sign-ups, just straight into the action. The colorful graphics are a nice touch, making it visually appealing without being overwhelming. It’s the perfect game for those moments when you just want something fun and engaging without the commitment of a big game. Simple, strategic, and, most importantly, a lot of fun.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
