Rikku's Godhand-its an ultimate weapon, so you dont HAVE to get it, i.e. optional, and it has gillionaire which doubles gil earned right? So it tempts the greedy because theyll want more money.
Doesn't sound like a monster I can think of... clear spheres maybe?

I dont know the exact name, but its a monster with a whole bunch of eyes and its in a pot(the pot has the eyes) and its in the cavern of stolen fayth and if you hit the right eye, you get something good, and if you hit the wrong one, it blows up.
