I don't call him Zidane. Just...y'know...in case you were wondering....
And also, there is no way one "should" pronounce a word. It all depends on where you're from and what you've got used to saying. With me it would be Zi-dan.

#2 is for me! my bro said it so then i agreed with it and now i cant stop.
like tifa on AC they pronounce it te-fah but i say tifah
i use pronunciation #2.
I use the 2nd one because I believe it sounds better.
Zih-Dan
Zih-Dane is probably the right one, but I already pronounced Dan thanks to Zinedine Zidane

I'm for Zid (Like Cid but with a "zzzz...") and DANE, like great DANE. Zidane. It's probally like UBER english, but w/e.
I've always used the english pronunciation for his name, So I say it as Zih-day-n.
I'm silly so I call him the second one. :)
zih-dane (as in Great Dane)
though I probably give that first syllable too much credit...it's actually closer to 'z-dane'
Rhyming with 'pain' sounds much cooler than however *soccer* snobs pronounce the name of that French guy--who is also Algerian and whose name is Arabic--meaning "Zidane" is just one spelling variation and not necessariy a good cue for how to pronounce the name.
I say "zi-dayne" just 'cause I think it sounds better.
