The trailer wasn't actually too bad. So will this remake have FMV sequences and voice acting? A problem I have with this remake is that I don't have a DS console myself.

Whoa...that's gonna be on the DS...OMG....
i'm so downloading that game for the ds emulator that will be able to support it then. i have ff3 for ds on my computer, but that emulator shows promise.
The fact that they "remade" Final Fantasy III, is the very reason it will never be released in America. It should have come with the Final Fantasy Chronicles or Final Fantasy Origins remade to 16 bit, but no. They had to remake the whole game and ruin it. So, I'll never get a chance to play Final Fantasy III.
When I heard they were doing this with Final Fantasy IV, my first reaction was, "Oh, hell no." But now, I think, "At least they released Final Fantasy Chronicles first or the best Final Fantasy IV we'd have in America would be EasyType on the SNES. I'm not a big fan of taking classic NES and SNES games and remaking them to look like PS and PS2 games. It just ruins it, and in my opinion, makes it a completely different game. Give the game a facelift? Fine. I liked Final Fantasy Origins. Remake the whole thing with 3-D technology basically changing the whole thing? Not just no, but hell no. 'Course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
Besides, you should release games on a system that matters. You know. One that plugs into your TV.
Since when did SE ruin III DS? All I remember is playing a wonderful remake of the greatest NES game ever. And TV-consoles the only game consoles that matter? Yeah right, that's why the DS is getting so much support. Gee, people say really stupid things these days.
Stop being ignorant. III is released in America and Europe on the DS. Yes DS. Hope that didn't give you a heart attack. So stop ignoring facts just because it isn't on a TV-console. If you so much hate the DS remake, play the translated NES ROM.
Indeed, 3D makes the game feel very different, which is just what we need. Or what? Another port with some prettier graphics like FF I and II on PSP? Indeed this is a different game than FF IV. This is the New Final Fantasy IV, as stated by the developpers. Complete with 75% of the original script that was cut out from the SNES version and all later ports, new song and voice acting. Possibly the greatest version of IV today, without loading times or GBA glitches.
Lend me your time-machine. I want to go to the future and play this game like you did, so I can see just how FF IV DS will be ruined.
Honestly, what do people, heck no, gamers want? If SE ports a game, they are money whores. If they remake it, people like you start complaining. Tell me, when can SE finally do something that nobody complains about? XII is teared appart, New IV DS is ripped to shreds, XIII is plagued with 360 fanboys yelling that PS3 sucks and that XIII will go multiplatform. FFTA2 is :skull::skull::skull::skull:ted upon by angry FFT fann00bs, CC Ring of Fates by main-stream fanboys that bash CC like their lives depend on it, The Crystal Bearers is hated by CC-faboys that whine that it doesn't look anything like the original CC (they just wnat more of the same), Versus XIII is hated because it's main character looks like Sasuke and looks emo, III DS is getting bashed because it is Final Fantasy III and not Final Fantasy XIV, Revenant Wings is getting hammered by XII-fanboys that don't want to play an "OMG KIDIEZ!!!" game and PSP fanboys whine that it should be on PSP instead of DS. Dissidia FF is getting bashed, Crisis Core is bashed for being another VII-milkery and oh I'll stop...
So in short, you're wrong and I don't care if people say I'm being blunt or rude and that I should allow you to your opinion. I've heard enough complaints everywhere I go and this is just one too much. Yeah, yeah, I musn't work it out on places like these but please... It's utterly depressing to read unreasonable posts like this one here.
If SE ever manages to release a game that is generally well received, use a Phoenix Down on me, cause I think I've just died. *sigh*
Elpizo, that was a truly enlightening post that really made me emphasize with your feelings about FF-haters today, and I also find it appalling and pathetic, and has reached the climatic extent when a gamer is never pleased at what is offered to the plate.
Personally, I love every FF game thrown at me and naturally adapt to playing them, but I guess other people grow to spiteful at what they call "Dysfunctional" errors in the game; let it be graphics, platform, or any other simplistic reason.
I don't know if I wasn't clear or if you were reading wrong. I don't hate any mainstream Final Fantasy games. I don't like the Tactics games, but I understand those who do. I'm by no means a basher.
I just want to clarify that when you do with a game what they did with Final Fantasy III and are doing with Final Fantasy IV, it just seems like a completely different game. I'm not against the new game. I just wish the original were available. I understand people who like these DS versions, but that's not me. I prefer classic style for classic games.
As for handhelds. I don't like them. That's me. You can like them all you want. I don't think less of you for liking them and you shouldn't think less of me for not liking them. As a person who doesn't like handhelds, if a game is only available on a handheld, in my mind, it's not available. Therefore, Final Fantasy III (to me anyway) wasn't released in the US. I don't have a huge problem with playing a fan-translated ROM, but I still prefer consoles. I have a right to hold these opinions as a gamer, and I'm offended at your insults implying that I don't. We all have different tastes. And that's exactly the reason that every Final Fantasy game (or any game in general) ever released had some people that didn't like it. I'm not saying I don't like Final Fantasy III as I've never had the chance to play it. I just prefer to play it in classic style and not on a handheld. I hope these random thoughts weren't to jumbled to make out my point as I don't really feel like arranging them in a linear line of thought.
Now, now, we all have our opinions and tastes.
I for one am not going to get this game, but that's just because I didn't like the older FFs as much. Though to be fair, I've only played FFIV for the GBA and I just got FFIII DS for my birthday, so I should give the others a chance at least. It all depends on what you look for in a game.
The Ceej, the point where you fail is this one:
You deny the official release of Final Fantasy III. That you can't play it is your decision, but therefor it does not mean that it is not released for you in America. It is offficially released in America and no matter how people feel about handhelds, it is released, it exists and that's that. Denying it is just stupid. If it was not released, no coppies of the game would be found in stores.
A release on handheld is a release, plain and simple. And to think "It's not there because it's not on a TV-console" is being plain ignorant. Sorry, but that's the only way I can see it. If tiny screens bother you so much, dive into emulators.
Eh. It's pretty, but I hope the in-game graphics aren't rip-offs of Final Fantasy III DS.
it was a good trailer, but i dont have a DS:( still theres plenty of remakes coming to the psp:)
