PS2 is great. PCXS2 is also pretty good, but has certain delicate performance issues.
As long as the Drakengard games are still for PS2 I will always stand by the PS2.:)
I nearly retired my PS2 when my PS3 arcade sticks worked for fighting games. That's about the only thing I kept my PS2 plugged in for, the fighters. I do have a couple of imports, but I don't play them very much.
However, with the latest PS3 update, my arcade sticks don't work with PS2 games anymore... so it's back to the PS2.
There are still a few 'big' games left to come out for it, it's not gonna go anywhere for at least a year I think.
My PS2 will be alive until I can afford a PS3 that lets me play imported PS1 and PS2 games. The PS2 has such an awesome library of RPG's (and it can play PS1 RPG's), so I love it dearly.
I never even knew there was a PS2 emulator.
ff12 is still in there so hell yea to your question! well atleast i hope it still has some life in it lol!!:D

Oh yes, the PS2 definitely has some life left in it. As has been said, outstanding library of games, backwards-compatibility with PS1 games, importing, and so on.
Sure. Good games are still made for the PS2. Just take Tomb Raider: Anniversary.
Playing DVD's..playing my old PS games..playing awesome PS2 games still with no problems..yes, it so do noes suck <3
Unless they lower the prices of the PS3 drastically, I am staying with PS2.
