*shoots*
John Lennon saw a man on a flaming pie high in the sky. He said to him, "You will be known as the Beatles with an A."
Then again, it could have something to do with "beat".
On topic: Pussycat Dolls.

'Chumbawumba' is certainly an odd name for a band; can't deny their musical contribution though.
My country has produced a few unusual band names too: Salmonella Dub, Hello Sailor, and Stellar* (the asterisk is part of the name) come to mind. Shihad certainly rate a mention, too - named after a mis-hearing of 'Jihad' from the Dune saga. They were temporarily renamed 'Pacifier' in the interests of political correctness, but thankfully they ditched that nonsensical moniker and returned to their original one.
Butthole Surfers still takes the cake for worst band name ever. Foo Fighters aren't too far behind. Panic! At The Disco makes me want to break something whenever I hear it, especially when it's said by an over-sensitive fan who insists on emphasising Panic because of the exclamation mark.
I never found Fall Out Boy to be a good name, or band.
Beastie Boys. Sounds like a middle school music project.
Moderatto, and their slogan is also pathetic desu. "Detector de metal!" Just lame desu.
Green Day
My Guitar Hero 2 band's name is "Pink Bunnies of Doom." I think it's cool, but there are quite a few people that laugh about it.
The Little Willies
Dogs Die in Hot Cars
The Seal Cub Clubbing Club
The Music
Herman's Hermits
The Pigeon Detectives
Hootie and the Blowfish
Bowling For Soup
As I Lay Dying (and names of that ilk)
Selfish :skull::skull::skull::skull:
Also seconding a large number of names already in this thread, particularly Limp Bizkit and Chumbawumba.
Silverchair.
The Dissociatives was such a better name (with better music overall ^-^~)
All bands ending with -boys.
Taking back sunday, though theyre a good band.
As for best band name ever, Id have to say My Bloody Valentine
"Panic", one of Dave Mustaine's first bands. :p
