Unrelated in a sense this thread reminds me of a part of the second book of A song of fire and ice, where Jhaquen Hragaer (I think thats the right spelling) offers Arya Stark the options of killing 3 people for sparing him and 2 others from a fire in a burning barn (they were chained up) she actually wastes 2 of them on complete nobodies and then realizes she should have used them more wisely so she gets around 30 kills out of the 3rd one by telling Jhaquen he must either kill himself or help her, he helped so she unsaid his name....great book, great character. Makes me realize that if you did have such power you really ought to wield it wisely, with great power comes great responsibility as uncle Ben said in spiderman.
