That sounds to me as if you would have to sacrifice some of the 'side vision' to get better focus straight ahead.

that commercial was from at least ten years ago how sad is it that i can call up the commercials the well
Sad, I have like 20/five billion vision. Can`t see anything without my contacts ^^
When I first got glasses back when I was 7, I was told that with them I'd have 20/10 vision. Then again, as a child, my vision was much better then than it is now... at this point, I don't even think I have 20/20 WITH glasses....and without glasses I have to be at least a foot away from something to read it.
My vision sucks.
I just wonder why most commercials give out 20/20 instead of 20/15?
Actually, I lied. My vision is perfect when I look through my Ritascope. AHAHAHAHA.
The average strength of the eye is already around 20/15, but the "better" your vision is the worse your short-distance vision is. For that reason, they won't laser your eyes past 20/20, since that is strong enough to function without trouble in nearly everything.
Also, don't believe any advertisement that claims to have a success rate of whatever%, because that actually refers to the percentage of patients that achieve 20/40 vision post-operation. It's pretty much a lie. :p
They said 20/20 or better, I guess that's just a phrase to encourage new customers to get it, thinking the treatment would be godspeed.
