On that you tube link theres another video called titanic 2 it's quite funny. But on topic...
I'm more hardcore than you? AWWW COMEON! I mean geez smurf that I'm NOT in 1st grade anymore.
Hardcore is with me
I'm hardcore 'cause I uh...actually listen to hardcore music. Metal music is metal. Screamo music is screamo. Neither truly pertain to 'hardcore', although they're somewhat similar.
I listen to Lamb of God.
According to the wise interwebz, I am HK MOTHERsmurfER.
HK: translated as so hardcore, i don't need to spell it with the proper letters.
Fonz & Poetically Pathetic: Lay off the quote pyramids, as well as in-thread convo's, please. thankz. Deleted some of yer posts.
Opinions opinions opinions~
Music is an expression~
I love music and I don't give a crap who listens to what.
I do however get just as annoyed when people spam 'Bring me the Horizon' on their phones in public places, just as much as that 'Beatiful Girls song'.
So you can't find the aesthetic quality in metal? A bit sad.
And Lamb of God are barely hardcore, try listening to The Dillinger Escape Plan or just about any grindcore/death/black metal band out there. Anyone who thinks they're hard because of LoG, well, that's just funny, introduce me to these people and I'll just laugh in their faces. Don't get me wrong, Lamb rocks (they got me into the diverse metal genre), but they are in no way 'hardcore'.
I love metal though, mainly because of the creative/experimental instrumental quality it presents, but also because of the screaming (I can understand why some people hate it). It annoys me when people dismiss such a diversified and creative genre as 'noise' when there's so much to offer. I listen mainly to hardcore/heavy/progressive/thrash (some)/experimental/screamo/death and emocore metal (not all combined, mind you, just different sub-genres :D). I could approach a friend and say I listen to metal, but our responses would differ vastly, I know some people who listen strictly to death/doom/black metal and mention a whole bunch of bands I never listened to (or would want to).
But yeah, I'm getting off topic, just wanted to throw in my two cents and then some.
People these days dont seem to know the meaning of the word hard core
Someone could listen to Mary had a little lamb on a continuous record dancing the hokey pokey and they'd still technically be hardcoreQuote:
