Usually I sit like Hartman does. No idea why, just always have.
I tend to sit with both legs on the ground. Sometimes I have my feet crossed at the ankles and behind me a little, sometimes both feet flat on the floor. Occasionally I sit like Hartman, but not often. I'm equally likely to have the one foot on top of my thigh also.
I have a kitty in my lap!
I feel most comfortable with one foot tucked up under me. I even sit that way when driving sometimes.

my feet usually go to sleep, but I don't mind cookie. also re: shlup, you can brake and accelerate with one foot, since you usually don't do both at the same time!
