I really hate when people link to stuff with absolutely no description of what they're linking to except to say that it's amazing.
I refuse to click.
Miriel does not like surprises.
Oh WOW! <3
Not only did they put 'Tori no Uta' from Air in it, they had Invisible Full Moon from Imperishable Night and 'Marisa Stole the Precious Thing' by IOSYS too! The Haruhi Suzumiya songs and Motteke! Serafuku were a nice touch too.
(SPOILER)It's a hacked Super Mario World level, where the sound effects - the pings, boops, bleeps, etc - all sych up perfectly with the anime/video game music that's in the background. As the player runs through the level, it's kind of like the game is accompanying the soundtrack. Clever stuff, and entirely work-safe, so no need to worry about clicking the link:)
It shows what's possible with skill, dedication, and probably a dangerously obsessive personality.
Thank you, D. :)
I can imagine that took both a vast ammount of skill & patience. Great video!
No player input is required at all. Mario is carried through the level entirely by the devices he touches and his own momentum. This concept goes back to the "Detteiu Mario" series of stages designed by one "Daigam" in 2007. You can see them here:
Detteiu Mario 1
Detteiu Mario 2
Detteiu Mario 3
Detteiu Mario 4
Detteiu Mario 5
Detteiu Mario 6
Detteiu Mario 7
Detteiu Mario 8
Note that Detteiu Mario 5 has a musical gimmick about halfway through, which probably inspired the video at the top of this thread.
That was pretty cool. Even if it didn't take any player input :)
The choreographing for 11 minutes of musical sync must have taken months to get right. =O
Uh... What the hell?
I was amazed by the dedication.
