Oh really? Then I might as well have a whack at playing it with the voices.

After I beat it the first time through. xD

Yeah, the voice acting is one of the best parts of the game.
Almost done with 'fundraising'. Took off some time off to play Lego Batman, and now I'm back to this game. I've been home sick so I've been listening to a lot of NPR while I level grind. I found Minnie's castle a good place to level up, about 3000 gold for every 25 battles, which is about the number of times Jessica can cast Boom. That spell, combined with Swoosh, levels almost any foes in one battle round.
I want to get at least of one every bazaar item before advancing the plot, and I'm about 3000 gold away from that.
^ Yeah, the game's like crack.
Just finished Orkursk. Somehow I get the feeling the makers of this game played too much FFIX, especially the part where you spend time chasing a villain only to arrive too late to prevent him from killing people.
Since the next major plot is Empyrea, I went back to tie up loose ends:
I got most of the treasure room chests with the Ultimate Key. I also explored most of this continent to pick up outdoor chests.
I went back to Baccarat and met Cash and Carrie (ha ha), but haven't triggered their sidequest yet.
Instead I met up with Morrie and triggered the Monster Arena subquest. I managed to recruit a Dumbking, which gave me a strong enough party to reach rank C. Suddenly at the level B the opponents got a lot harder, so I'm going to have to do some more recruiting and leveling (I'm averaging level 42 right now).
Finish Empyrea, and you'll then have access to other areas and some good additions for your monster team.
I need to pick this up again. I stopped playing when I put my PS2 away for school, and now I don't have a TV in my room (because I have a turntable instead). I should set one up somewhere; I just don't have any idea where I'd put it.
Yeah, I was able to recruit some heavy hitters and get to A rank. Getting to S rank required a strategy guide. Even then it took about 5 tries.
I've got through the Dark Citadel and am now on a quest forDragon BallsSage Orbs. What's the range of the Echo Flute? SE Farebury is a large area and I'm not finding the first one.
EDIT: Stupid Godbird and her vague hints. It wasn't the SE Farebury region, but that part of the city of Farebury. I quickly caught on that it was the sites where all the sages met their ends.
