I'm bias and will join in on the MGS bandwagon here. MGS4 is spectacular and though I had a few issues with the new control set-up (I don't care for FPS so I am not as skilled as others when it comes to the control schemes. Hence I had some issues relearning the controls since MGS4's controls borrow heavily from an FPS controller set-up) anyway...
Its a damn good game and personally I do recommend playing the previous games just because the information dump that is MGS4's plot won't completely overwhelm you. On the other hand, if your hand is broken you may have some issues with the controls. Otherwise, hell yeah for MGS4!!! :jess:
