Nomura goes back on his word all the time, but that's not why there won't be any Final Fantasy worlds. Each Final Fantasy character featured in Kingdom Hearts is given a new backstory which is incompatible with their original games. Squall, Aerith, and Yuffie are all from Radiant Garden. How can Squall be from Radiant Garden and still be compatible with FFVIII's story? It doesn't make sense.Quote:

They've already set a precedent in Kingdom Hearts that the Final Fantasy cameos are completely independent of their original backgrounds. I sincerely doubt that they're going to change that.Quote:
