I always take the stairs for the elixir, then go all the way back down and burst in the front door just for the receptionist's "do you have an appointment? Wait...OH:skull::skull::skull::skull: THE TERRORISTS ARE HERE!!!"
like others have said I do the same. I run all the way up the stairs to get the item. Then run back down and go through the gate. They got a shop too.
You guys. D:
I usually just barge right in. I have no patience for the stairs.
i always take the stairs, then take the elevator back down to the shop & Turtles Paradise poster, also, taking the stairs adds affection points to Tifa and barging in the front adds affection points to Barret... likewise i always choose the top room in Honeybee Inn in order to get the "sexy lingerie" as opposed to the bottom door for "Muki's bikini brief" and therefore have never seen the hot tub scene i've heard people speak of, when my Cloud crosdresses he goes all the way with only the best...
I go in the front door so that I can get the Yuffie date.
Actually I don't think what you decide to do there actually goes towards deciding who you date. If it does then you could always agree to what Barret says and then go up the stairs anyway but I don't think it counts towards it.
I took the stairs when i was young because i didnt used to like battles:D Now i bust through then run halfway down grab the Elixir then run back p.
Eh, the stairs in FFVII aren't as bad as the stairs in the Communications Tower in MGS1. DEAR. LORD. Can anyone say LAZY LEVEL DESIGN? Ugh, I hate that part of an otherwise amazing game.
I opted to take the stairs because I thought that was a more realistic course of action given the security of the building. I wonder what the developers had expected would be the intended course of action? I think both of the scenarios have enough development behind them, right? There are conversations and scripted battles if you choose to break through the front of the building, too.
I've tried both. I usually take the stairs though. I'm always reminded of a similar scene in Ghostbusters (around 1:40). :D
