I like watching Discovery channel more than these kinds of shows!
Also, Girls Aloud. Remember Popstars the Rivals?
The thing is if they're good enough, everyone forgets eventually that they began on a talent show. If your career doesn't eclipse the :bou::bou::bou::bou:ty reality TV show you were once on, then you shouldn't have won it.
Your face is an oxymoron :kaofight:
Actually they prove my point. Potts made one album and then was forgotten. Not too sure about Leona Lewis's situation but I sure haven't heard anything about her in a while. The only people who were successful were Girls Aloud and Will Young, in the UK at least.
Oh good. I'm delighted it's only taken two pages to descend into 'this show is :bou::bou::bou::bou:'.
oops forgot thread subject lol
I don't watch BGT but I watch some of the acts on youtube. I really enjoyed listening to Susan, but I thought the ~adorable 10yr old balleriiiina~ was incredibly dull. The rest seemed alright I guess. Oh and Stavros Flatley were really really not funny imo :(
But I've only seen a few of the early acts so far xD I'm behind on stuff like the Michael Jackson kid...
The topic is best/worst acts of Britain's Got Talent, folks. If you want to discuss the validity of talent shows or whatever, you can start another thread about that.
lol talent is sub par
Anyhoot I like jamie pugh and susan boyle (Just cause I love Les Miserables) so far but no ones ever gonna beat Kate and Gin.
I watch it for the terrible acts
Leona Lewis sold a buttload of records, and probably will have a lot of succes with her next album as well.
Also, the whole Susan Boyle thing. She's kinda like Paul Potts in the way that she has the element of surprise, but really.. if you put both of them up against professional opera singers they're not that great, if you know what I mean.
I'm not saying they're bad singers and that they don't deserve all the positive things that have happened to them (especially Boyle), but they basically are over-hyped.
