Wait a minute... A ten?! My girlfriend and I were buying some silver rings for ourselves recently. She's got really tiny hands, even for a girl and she wears a nine or ten (depends on the ring), while I have to wear a 26 0_o And I thought I had really thin fingers! Your problem intrigues me.
Um... I'm not helping, right? Er... You should get it resized. Or, if it isn't big enough to accidentally slide down your finger, just wear it.
Pretty sure you're talking about different kinds of sizes here because I've never heard of a size 26. :p

In the uk we use letters to signify size so I have no idea either. I used to have very slender fingers until I started working retail which built up calluses and hand strength so now I can wear men's rings but my mom can still use me to go shopping for my sister because if it fits my little finger perfectly it'll fit her ring finger perfectly. I haven't had any rings in ages. The best way to build up hand strength and muscle is to just have a hand excerciser I guess or to get a job doing retail/waiting tables
Have you tried wearing it on your thumb?
My knuckles are huge but my fingers are skinny which makes it impossible to wear rings.
