Good lord Jess you kept slipping into an English accent. It was slightly confusing for little old me!
It's really weird, because the first term I was in England, my accent stayed completely New York. But coming back, it's slipped into this mix of neutral/quasi-English accent with random bursts of CHAWKLATE CAWFEE DAWG New York. I don't know why.
I think it's because I got tired of people giving me weird looks for being foreign. I can get away with speaking a not horribly butchered English accent in small sentences, which is usually all I need to do to get by.
