I'm doing research on robotics. Dunno what my career will be, but probably something aerospace, hvac, or fluid power related
As I am so often reminded,
I am a Marine by profession. A Marine is a warrior.
I am a 6113 by trade. A 6113 is a CH53 helicopter mechanic.
This has pretty much been inscribed/brainwashed into me since day one. I must be ready for battle at any time and all that. Right...
But then again if this ever happens when I am likely to go to Afghanistan next year. Maybe I can try out my profession. But lets hope not.
I had my first day working in a factory today. Packaging fcuk deodorant gift package things for Boots. 8 hours putting trays on the conveyor belt. Not particularly looking forward to tomorrow.
This is just to get me some cash over summer/when I start back for my second year of uni in September, though.
I currently work in the HMV flagship store in London. I'm currently working on specialities though my actual area of expertise is no surprise games.
I'm also currently getting back in to the freelance/volunteer games development side of things with a friend of mine who wishes to start up his own game.
I attend uni for English Education 5 - 12, and I do a middle school/high school TA with that.
I have three paying jobs throughout the year. I work at a deli and make sandwiches for hours on end, I am a writing tutor with my own cute little office where college students come to me for editing/revision and writing help, and I am a TA at a summer program for autistic children.
So two of my current jobs are actually related with my major in uni.

I am a law school student for most of the year. This summer, I'm working full time at a law firm.
I'm Human Resources for a national discount department store. Also finishing my degree in women's studies and journalism sos I can go to grad school and get my MSW.
