I used to put dollar notes inside and slowly it reduced to coins. As time passes, I started to stuff candies in instead and in the end, trash is the only thing that goes in there. :(
I saved up 8 489 kr in cash which amounts to ~$1150. Of those, 4099 kr were coins. That's about $560. Only took me like a year, though!
It's true! In Canadaland our maple leaf encrusted pennies cost 1.8 cents to produce ^_^ So we produce them at a loss. Also there is talk (there was always talk) of elminating that coin. We've talked to countries that have repealed the penny (such as Australia) to see what the effect is on the economy, on inflation, etc etc.Quote:

I think I once found I had £54 lying around my room. Years of change from school dinner money.
Mine's in the shape of two sheep..a smaller one for petty change (very full, I highly doubt I can get it out o_O) and a bigger one which I put pounds and notes in. Probably doesn't make sense.
I had 80 something quid in the bigger one once :D I was so proud!!

The most? Hmm, I think I managed to save up about $50 bucks once. I still have it lying around somewhere with the money still in it.
i've been stashing notes away since my birthday/christmas for a trip down to melbourne last week.. before we left i guesstimated i had about $200 but i actually had $390 so that was awesome :p
I had $50-$100 at one point, I can't remember because I was super young, I spent it at 'The Royal Show' (it's like an annual fair that we have in Perth).
I think I had like £30 in a piggie bank... then I wanted it too much!
I have many pennies in my normal bank!
I don't save money. I spend it.
