Why not? They're both boring.

Get excited or fet out! >:O
This isn't Another Century's Episode. Though I guess I should have expected that!
And yeah, Sims is a steamroller PC franchise.
No, but it is currently listed as the best selling PC game franchise of all time.
I am interested. The Sims gameplay has always struck me as incredibly boring when you weren't killing them off (and due to limited options, even that got old fast). The fun bit has always been building the most luxurious homes ever. If they expand that to let us build castles, and the shift to a period piece spices up the gameplay, this might be worth picking up.
Who the smurf plays Mario, eh? ;)
Maybe I'll pick up the sims 3 and a bundle of those expansion packs when they're all released in a few years. Until then, I'm awaiting Medievil 3!
I used to play The Sims quite a lot. Espeically The Sims 2. It's a very addictive game. I haven't played The Sims 3 yet, though, and probably won't be interested in buying this version either. It does seem like an interesting idea, and if done right it could be rather good.
