I am more interested in Versus and Agito ;(
Definitely FFvXIII and Agito. They could potentially be good games, I want something new. The older games are fine just the way they are, we wouldn't love them if they weren't (or at least in their remade form.)
As far as the side games, let sleeping dogs lie, try to do that again this generation instead of repeating the past's successes.
It needs to be a new day, a do-over, so let's see how Versus and Agito turn out.
THEY ARE "REMAKING"/"REIMAGINING"/"WE'RE NOT TOO SURE WHAT THEY'RE DOING!!!" TACTICS OGRE ON THE PSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I honestly never saw what the big deal about tactics ogre was, nor how FFT was so inspired by it. I'll admit I didn't get very far into it. I tried it far before I tried FFT and after a few hours I just thought 'meh' and put it down. Maybe I should give it another spin.
Another note about FFT2. It must have NOTHING to do with any game SE has produced. A completely independent entity. I want them to build me a new and exciting world. No baggage, not ret-cons, no making us view past game sin a different light.
Threads of Fate II please!
^ I've never actually played ToF. Sony really need to get their PSOne Classics :bou::bou::bou::bou: together. On that note, I remember when ToF, Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross were released in monthly succession for Squaresoft's 'Summer of Adventure' back in... 2000? Ah, memories. I only ever played (and enjoyed) CC, but I'd definitely drop a ten on ToF or LoM if they hit PSN.
Legend of Mana and Threads of Fate were awesome games, you better pick them up if they are ever become available.
Also a note to people: The sequel option applies to any game in the SE library, this includes more sequels to the Compilation, FFIV and the FFX.
Isn't Threads of Fate scheduled for PSN?
Versus XIII looks good at this preliminary stage. I think SE's due for a real winner and this might just be the won. I almost voted for FFXV because a part of me just wants them to get back to releasing proper mainstream titles in numerical succession - no going back and forth to do spin-offs, sequels, remakes, three-part moneymilkers etc., I also remember the hype around Chrono Break when the name was trademarked by the company. It would've been nice to see the Chrono series added to.
Definitely a good sequel to Tactics or Vagrant Story. I'm not overly eager for a remake because it's just the same game and I'd rather have a new good game (though I would play a remake of VI or VII). I also do not have much hope for FFXV.
I would love a Threads of Fate sequel. And another Chrono game, of course.
I am surprised that more people want FFXV over Versus or Agito.
I think it has to do with how abysmal people found XIII, the fact that no one cares about handheld titles which is why Agito is practically outright ignored despite being pretty close to finish, and the way Nomura has been talking, Versus might still be a few years off. Not to mention beyond two trailers and a few screenshots, no one has even seen how Versus is going to play doesn't help much. Really, despite being announced four years ago, we still know very little about the game, at least not enough to get overwhelmingly excited for.
I'm also ignoring the fact that some people still probably wonder why Versus and Agito even have the XIII moniker since they have very little to do with the actual XIII besides re-using terminology like L'Cie and the Goddess Etro despite all development teams say the similarities are in name only. Its a wonder why SE just doesn't name Versus FFXV at this point cause XI and XIV are entirely different genres so would it really matter if a numbered entry was an action RPG?
