All these similarities with star wars might be the reason why i like this game so much. Star wars is awesome, so a game based on it is really good.

I will admit that the parallels between Star Wars and Final Fantasy XII are very interesting. I have seen people draw similar parallels between other movies, like Avatar and Dances with Wolves. I think that the Balthier and Fran to Han Solo and Chewbacca comparison is spot on.
This is a great thread. I thought my FFVIII = Star Wars comparison was pretty good but this is beautiful.

That being said... yes, there are a lot of similarities between XII and SW and frankly, I been waiting years to see a game that could half-properly simulate the awesomeness of SW. My only regret in the game is that you can't keep both the Sword of Kings and Treaty Blade... and that they've only got 30ATK. They remind me of the Oblivion and Oathkeeper Keyblades... is this yet another theme I'm overlooking? I know that some games the Murasame/Muramasa is sometimes paired/opposite the Masamune...
