Don't confuse me with your mental complex. I am one person, thank you very much.
I am nothing by myself,
yet I burn things without fire.
Always slanted,
never resting.
What am I?

I actually didn't have pockets, it was a trick question! I'm clever :)
An iron?
Nope.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say chloride.
How is that nothing by itself? It's still chloride.
In a day I'm just gonna give the answer.
Lol, don't get snippy. I was thinking that when it mixes with hydrogen in your tummy it turns into hydrochloric acid. :p I said it was a wild guess, I didn't think it was right but I couldn't think of anything else which couldn't burn things without mixing with something else. Besides, if you are nothing by yourself then the anwer is nothing. :P
Friction.
I think you are closer than I ever could be but isn't friction the force that resists movement rather than movement itself?
Aaah, I first interpreted never resting as always moving, but not resting could mean always in force. I think you've done it! Good job!!! :D
You win.
I am nothing by myself, - Friction exists only between two media
yet I burn things without fire. - Can create heat
Always slanted, - Slanted shear profile
never resting. - The media always have to be in motion relative to each other
What am I?
Paul's turn.
I love riddles xD
Perhaps an easy one, but my favourite - What can you see, touch and make, but can't hold?
breath?
Nein, fraulein!
A hole!
