Actually I watched this weird like "the origins of words" thing once upon a time and it was about the origin of paddock or some :bou::bou::bou::bou:. ANYWAY they mentioned that IN YE OLDE TIMES the Rs and Ds were basically the same :bou::bou::bou::bou: hence Rick -> Dick. But take this at face value, I was probably drunk outta my mind.

Most guys named Richard are dicks. Duh.

Charles becoming Chuck has always been a weird one to me.
