I'd post pictures, but my town is afraid of that scary Yankee teck-nall-uh-jee.
I live just a stones throw away from a very small village in Ireland. There's not much to do in it, apart from get drunk, but theres a town nearby for anything that needs to be done. The best word to describe my village would be cosy. It's very tidy & well kept together.
This is the village green

Couldn't find any other pictures on the web I'm afraid.
I live on the Gold Coast, an Australian tourist city. The main attractions are surfing, nightclubs and girls with no morals. Apparently the city is meant to be much like Florida. I've lived here all my life and honestly, the only redeeming thing about it is the weather. And the friends I've made here. Apart from that, I don't really like the place. It's stuck halfway between being a city and a suburb of Brisbane to the point where we have none of the perks of being a small town and none of the perks of a being a proper city.
Obligatory picture that makes it look much better than it actually is.
First this is Ballyhaunis Attachment 35479 this is the nearest town to where I grew up in the West Of Ireland in Co. Mayo.
This is Sligo town where I'm currently living Attachment 35480 my apartment building is actually in the middle background of this photo.
Is that Northern Ireland?
I love water. More water pictures, please.
I only visited Ireland for a week, but it was beautiful and the people were very friendly.
As much as I complain about where I live, I do love it. I mean, its hot, swarming with bugs the size of dogs, and there's old people everywhere.
That said, it's still home.. :)
My town is so very.. British. It's famous for Pilkingtons glass and the Rugby team, Saints, mostly. And.. this monstrosity.

Cymru am byth
Man, you guys all live in a big city or somewhere beautiful.
I live in Haslet Texas. we are about 20 miles from fort worth, ten from the nearest shopping center with more than two stores
(dollar general and subway)
The town is dry, small, uneventful, with a sec veiw of some barren land and the speedway. (ten miles away)
Upsides to living haslet:
within driving distance to the 7th best place to live in America (keller tx)
One guy has a lama.
One guy used to have a zebra.
I live here
30 miles from UNT
wild rabbits
old guy across the street bult a nuclear bomb shelter in his backyard and because I mowed his lawn once for free he gave me a key card to get in, and I am allowed to bring one guest, as long as they eat less than 3 ounces a day.
cons:
you have to have a full tank of gas if you want to go shopping.
dry, hot, dusty, and coyotes keep stealing peoples cats
heavy drug traffiking and lots of drunks
this one guy shoots bb's at my Jag everytime I drive by.
town library has 500 books, most of which are romance novels.
People keep letting there dogs into our yard, and one time a dog attacked cupid and tore off part of him, this same dog now lives next door and spends the time from around eleven pm to 3 in the morning barking.
neutral:
big backyards
one lady has ducks
big negative:
yesterday I woke up and someone had covered my car in samwich meat.
My car now smells like ham.
I won't lie this is awesome
How is this a con? If you read them all you'll theoretically be an expert in how the female mind thinks, at least in Texas
Not seeing the negative here
I am already probably the biggest romantic in my town, and the biggest male one in the state.
This is not an intro for fat jokes
Besides, most of them are written by men, and about half of them were donated from my grandpa's collection when he died.
