In case you got turned and bit down on someone really thick-headed.
(there's a legend down below that explains it when you hover over the icons)
I'm in a non-danger zone.. My little Canadian city has about 130,000 people. I would try to find a nice treehouse somewhere and shack up after winterizing it. It'd have to be near a city though. Wilderness survival only works if you have enough time/energy to forage and trap game - depending on the type of zombies, there may be little to no game available.
As far as danger zones go I am screwed, but there are a ton of reserve stations and an armory not far from where I am and there's also a ton of hospitals near me (not that it would make much difference for me since my GF is always sick and we have a fully stocked pharmacy in my bathroom). I just have to sit it out on the 32nd floor of my apartment building until it looks like I can find a safe place to go and food won't be a problem because I have a sexual fetish for canned foods. My building is connected to a few others by a skyline, so even if I can't get out from my building I can most likely get out from another.
Is it sad that I'm always fantasizing about stuff like this? I would slay my first born for a chance at a zombie apocalypse.
I once read this books called Life As We Knew It. Basically, the moon gets knocked out of orbit, and nature gets smurfed up.
From that I learned:
You can never have too much bottled water, but don't waste it during the winter when you have snow or rain.
Progresso soup--it doesn't require water to cook.
Canned veggies
Don't waste time on perishables
Buy as many blankets as possible. You're probably going to lose electricity, so be prepared for some cold days and nights come winter.
BATTERIES
Matches and lighters are like, super important
And don't ever let anyone know you're still alive
Considering where I live, I'd say I'm pretty screwed. It's not too densely populated, but it's very sizable. I could try hide in the woods, but they've been shrinking in size over the years. Sooo... I'm screwed if zombies started to attack.
I live in a city with a population of 1301617 as of the 2010 census, so I'd probably be pretty smurfed unless I could make my way to the naval base quickly. The alternative is to just destroy or block the staircase and try to live on the top floor.
I have that book! I have yet to read it yet though....
Really Dak and pike would be well off because those states are "the great plains" and they could see zombies form far distances fairly easily. SO if they can just keep it from getting there, they'll be able ot pick them off well. I just need to get back up there first >:(
I actually think the lot of you are going to die, the way you stated your plans.
do not:
- go to the cops
- the army base
- populated areas
- supermarkets
- gun stores
- drive a car or motorcycle
- drive farm equipment
I live in a heavily populated suburban area. what would I do? break down the banisters in my stairway and break the stairs. Use a rope ladder to get up.
I would have to take all of the backyard furniture to block up the sliding doors, and I would probably hide out in the house for a few months until the zombies moved away. Then I can work on biking north toward parry sound or moose factory. Problem solved at that rate.
you people are so boring and unambitious
i would become a zombie
and infect every last mothersmurfer i could find, if not devouring them completely
zombies own :zombie:
I have assembled a 4-person team consisting of myself, my best friend, a guy I acted with, and my teacher Mrs. Williams. We'd go to the historic downtown and hold a fortress on the roof.
I already own my guns, and usually try to keep around 1000 rounds for each one.
My big concern would be food, water and warmth during the winter months.
I would probably build some sort of tree house to use at my main base. would also need/want to acquire solar power for radios and such. My friends and I have this pretty well planned out :D
