This season has not suffered the slow start that this show has been known for over the last couple of years. The train episode was awesome, except for the end. :(
"Say my name, come on you know who I am! Who am I?"
Mid-season finale.... HOW smurfING DARE THEY LEAVE IT LIKE THAT!
How is this a mid-season finale when it doesn't return until next summer? That's a full season finale!
According to the Breaking Bad website this is the final season. Therefore it's a mid-season finale unless the website written by AMC is wrong.
I'm sure calling it the final season gets more people to watch so that is why they are doing it. Like calling Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 the 'final movie'.
I want Lydia to kick a bag of money at me while Crystal Blue Persuasion is playing in the background. That episode was smurfin intense!
Also this season would not logically be 8 episodes long considering all other seasons have been between 16 and 20. If the show was British then hell yeah 8 episodes and done would be very, very believable. Actually I'd say it's unbelievable since British TV seems to stick to the theory of 6 episodes a season and you're done (with very few exceptions. Dr Who may be one)
I don't think I can handle seeing anything bad happen to Hank. I know I'm going to though and will have it in the back of my mind for months.
I squealed like a little girl at the end. :x
This whole half-season was excellent. Along with seasons 3 and 4, arguably one of the best.
I love how the characters have progressed in the past 8 episodes. Bryan Cranston's Walt is chilling. He is a different man than the chemistry teacher we were introduced to.
AMC has one of the best shows in the history of TV on their hands here and I can't wait to see how they wrap it up.
I'll leave you with this:
That backyard dinner scene was too crazy. Walt Jr, don't push the baby that close to the pool! Walt Jr's gonna get shot! OMG something is going to go down right now! AHHH!!! The switch-over to Hank in the bathroom was a huge relief.
My prediction is that the next season of Breaking Bad and Dexter are going to play out roughly the same.
