Freya thought it is easier to call Quina a "he" because it is difficult to say "s/he" all the time.

I always name Quina "It."

I personally always thought Quina was a bro.

Male pronouns are often used because we don't have a real gender neutral one. In any case, I would have always considered Quina to be more feminine.

I thought he was a guy at first. When I found out Quina was a girl, I vowed to try avoid using her as much as possible.
