Welll... the fact remains it says gratification. Since robots don't feel, I can only assume the human has to be satisfied somehow. Maybe it's like that episode of Robot Chicken with Pinhead: "Years of sexual depravity have rendered us completely incapable of becoming aroused and so we're turning to potentially fatal acts of torture to get our rocks off."
