It happens more often outside of EoFF to be honest. I've been using the same name for a long time in a lot of places (probably around 14 years or so now).

When I first joined, a lot of people thought I was a chick.

I get mistaken for a lot of things, but never for a woman.

Sometimes I get mistaken for a girl. Most of the time people just assume I'm an asshole.

I don't remember ever being mistaken for a girl online before. I'm usually pretty good about guessing other people's gender, too.

Sometimes I get the occasional "he" or disbelief when I say I'm female because "there are no girls on the Internet!!!!1"

A foreign newbie in chat thought I was a dude once. And I got mistaken for a dude a lot when I was still Demosthenes. Not anymore!

I don't think it's ever happened to me. Unless one of you bastards mistook me for a woman when I joined. :shifty:
