The Wave Existence from Xenogears is probably the most powerful entity. It simply coming into a lower dimension created the universe and the power it grants to other beings within the game's universe are no slouch that could make most of the other FF villains have a run for their money. It is the closest thing to a traditional concept of an omnipotent god figure we've seen in the Squenix verse whereas other "god" figures have been slain or banished by mortals with no problem.

Spoon has a point... which I am probably going to mutilate right now. In any story that mentions a character which is deemed to be God or like God whether by others or in referring to self, you must be willing to consider this to be a statement of awe or bias and consider also that should God IRL present "himself", pretty much everyone who has ever said they need to see god to believe in God actually won't believe that they are meeting God in physical form. That's how ego works. You can believe in power. You can believe someone has the ability to manipulate reality. But no one who relies on logic would ever believe that God is one... well there is no sufficient word... if you're meeting a being who claims to be God, you're likely thinking there are others out there like them or perhaps beings that are even more powerful. You're also likely thinking how to get that power for yourself.
Suffice to say, any character purported to be God or god-like in any story should be shrugged as just another powerful being.
