Eh, Cloud is still un-interested in her though. After Yuffie has enough balls and courage to kiss him, Cloud is completely shocked and then mocks her.

It's one of the moments that made me respect Yuffie more and Cloud less.

I thought Cloud's reaction was the result of stunned-but-awkward silence, rather than actual mockery. He honestly didn't know what to say or how to react, so he said the first stupid trout that came into his spiky head. Though I agree with you about respecting Yuffie more after that scene.
