I always debate between keeping the original Aurochs, and using special characters. Rin usually is my center, Brother one of my defenders, Wakka my other forward. But I don't know any more plot important characters we can get.

I always keep the Aurochs on the "team" but I do hire some others including Wakka.
That said I only play blitz enough to get the ultimate weapon and the limit breaks which is only about 16 games if you keep reseting it until your prize comes up.
I always have Duren as keeper. For sure Aniki is not in my main team no matter how good he is. Tidus rocks solo anyway.

Meh, I used Keepa for my first ten or so games, then I discovered Jumal and he's all the goalie you'll ever need (Nimrook is better though, because he basically breaks the game in your favor).
Aside of Letty and Keepa, all the other Aurochs are completely useless and should be dropped as early as possible.
