VERY close between number 1 and 2 but while Ogre Battle Episode 7 stays true to its incredible mechanics, DQV constantly flips its mechanics on its head while telling one of the greatest stories ever in an RPG.
Looks like you got over your issues with DQVI, last I remember you were not getting into as well as you hoped.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I wish I didn't rush into it immediately after playing DQV and Xenogears. DQV would've been a tough act to follow for any sequel and I now appreciate the things the game accomplished on its own merits.
